7883  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is it a total scam? The "5 Bitcoin Independence Day Raffle !" on: July 04, 2013, 07:28:48 PM
It's a scam. It's very obvious. That's why I don't allow any java script or anything to run until I know I can trust the site. Legitnick isn't so legit.

Just completed it. Fantastic story and gripping gameplay....there better be a follow up. It was kind of a cliff hanger. Yes!
Just watched through a whole gameplay on Youtube. Man, in most cases the game just played on my heart strings. Cry It's really an emotional game I might add.

Very, it has a few twist and turns which I like. And I love the different puzzles throughout the game. Plus all the collectables you must find. No doubt I'll be playing it again.

7887  Other / Off-topic / Re: Preferred Browser? on: June 30, 2013, 09:51:14 PM
Lynx is normally preferred because people like to look pro. It's no more practical than any other. The speed isn't much different, it's slightly faster which is almost unnoticeable. I have talked about this topic many times & almost always the people who prefer this is because of the ads not showing etc. Yet, there are other ways to block it. This is just like Linux. People like to use the terminal to look pro, even though they could do it in a graphical interface which would take a lot less time. It's a fact which has been studied that people like to be seen as a pro, which they will show off it they can do it. If they know others don't like something because it's to difficult then they will use it just to show off. Even though it's not practical. Don't get me wrong I have used Lynx and many other text based browsers...back when computers where very limited.

I'm curious why you like Lynx. I hate the interface, is it because it looks complicated and you know that many will not like it? It's a disgusting interface. Obviously this is my opinion and I know people do generally like it. But, for all the people I have asked they pretty much make crap up and can't really explain why it's better.

I want a open world zombie game. But, this is actually pretty good. Very smooth gameplay. Actually has some very good psychological parts in the game. Multiple ways around things. Very creepy at times, especially when you are in the subway and have to dive through the water. It's a good game. I wouldn't say it's going to be the best game ever, like you said, I want a open world game. But, they are getting close to it. This is a fantastic game and the developers have really took their time in developing the story & gameplay. It's the best zombie game out there at the moment. I think it will be for a long time. I think it's very possible that it could become game of the year, however it will be fighting some very good up and coming titles such as Grand theft auto. But, as far as a zombie game goes this is brilliant. It has part of the Crazed feeling too. Not all about killing. But surviving.

I believe this is a scam. I tried this out and lost around 0.70 btc didnt win anything

Wow, between me & you the website has made 0.98 BTC and given out nothing. I have heard a few people say they have won (sock puppets I believe ) I warn everyone. Bet at you're own risk. This guy has been pointed out in the scam accusations. Search it up.
7890  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Scratch Tickets /// www.satoshi-karoshi.com /// on: June 29, 2013, 11:11:33 PM
I have wasted 0.18 testing this site. Won nothing at all. Could of made a lot more on other sites which would be guaranteed. This site is extremely expensive and is very unlikely to win.

Growing these types of plants are legal in a lot of places. Where I live and maybe were you live it's not, but a LOT of places allow it.

Pretty good idea. I don't think I would use it personally. But, I see why they can be irritating.
7894  Economy / Gambling / Re: New bitscratch game- physical 'lucky' bitcoins! on: June 29, 2013, 06:26:43 PM
My opinion?

I think it can be expensive. But, at the end of the day it's gambling. .25 for 10 coins. .5 top prize. So you have 10 chances of winning the top prize. That seems reasonable considering the price which you are selling for. Want I like about this, is you're going to win something, for example the Coin. I like the coins it's something which could be kept and shown off to friends & family. Also, "Every coin is a winner" is yet another +.

Now this is the down side:
1x  0.5
1x  0.2
24x 0.1
24x 0.05
100x 0.02
100 x 0.01
750x 0.005

1000 coins. buying 10 for 0.25. I could potentially win all the top prizes however it's very unlikely. If everything went bad I would win 10x 0.005. The total being 0.05. But, then again it is gambling. What do people expect? There's always a big % of the gambler losing. Also, like it says on the original post, these could be reloaded and sold on. So it does have a few cons and pros. Which one weights out the other? I think with the right selling skills you could resell these coins for a little & break even on you're winnings. Not guaranteed but I go back to my point it's GAMBLING.

I think if the price was reduced then more people would be interested, or maybe the odds of winning the bigger prizes were increased But, I don't know how much these cost to manufacturer or ship out.

Overall, I think this could be awesome. You have started out well. You have asked for peoples input into you're idea and have been more than willing to take advise. I don't personally know what you could do to get more people interested because I don't know how much it costs YOU to produce these. Obviously you have to make profit as well as others. Maybe someone else with a good idea can give us some input because at this point in time I can't think of anything. I do know some people will buy these. I would most likely try them out myself and then cry when I lose, lol.

EDIT: These are made out of brass correct? 1lbs is $2-$3. So that's pretty good. It is however a rather large house edge which I think needs to be considered and looked into a little more. The max win 0.5 only happens once in 1000 coins, that's quite a lot.
7895  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you have an External hard drive? on: June 29, 2013, 06:07:01 PM
I have so many external hard drives I couldn't possibly list them all. Most of them are backups of our business. They normally range from 1tb-4tb. I believe I have smaller ones which haven't been filled up yet but they are more for temporary files.
7896  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think of "The Last Of Us" PS3 game on: June 29, 2013, 06:04:17 PM
I wonder if the PS3 Emulator will run it with sufficient FPS for me to play on PC. Anywho, I also watched the videos last night and it takes a while to progress from killing humans to zombies.

There is such thing?

I was actually wondering if it would work on the emulator. I'm normally a PC gaming type. But, I do have a Ps3. Yes, you don't actually kill Zombies straight away, but I kind of like that. It shows other problems too. It shows the military fighting rebels and people being forced to patrol outside of the city. I got to the stage where I fight some zombies, yay! It's a very hard game, you need to be aware at all times. I'm taking a break because my next door neighbour is having a party and they are pretty loud, which kind of distracted me.

I'll begin to play it again in the morning. I haven't watched many of the videos because I don't want to ruin it. But, I got up to the stage where I left off in the videos. So far the feel of the game is awesome.
7897  Other / Off-topic / What do you think of "The Last Of Us" PS3 game on: June 29, 2013, 03:47:26 PM
I would like to know what you think of it. I have just got it from ordering it on line. I have watched videos and I can't wait to play it. I know it's been out a while but I did pay relatively cheap for it. £30. So, I'm going to spend the weekend on this game...complete it and I'll post back what I thought of it. I will try to include a very detailed review.

Game of the year?

EDIT: The graphics are unbelievable.....

Very nice to see a early adopter. That is a rather large sum of coins and very nice to have. I think I like this guy kjwallet, seems he's persuaded you to be generous enough. Thanks again.
7899  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to read through a 1000+ page C++ book on: June 29, 2013, 03:37:55 PM
Very boring. I guess the best way to learn from the book directly is to reward you're self after you have done so much learning. Eg. completed two modules and have a cup of coffee...Okay most adventurous than that but you know what I mean. I always learnt by doing it outside. I like the outdoors and normally like to sit down and have the sun beat down on my head whilst reading. Also try to do a lot of practical work. As much as you can. I normally learn better by actually doing the information which is provided.

bitcoin will never have good jokes, it takes 10 minutes to get the punchline

Lol, I had a little smile on that one. It's the best one so far in my opinion.
