Do you have his contact information? (possible real name, email address, etc) if so post it if he does not respond today. That would be a week without contact from him to me.

A week?!?!

Allright, it's time for those of us in this thread to take this to the next level.

is what I believe his contact info is. I had him call me from that number, so I'm pretty sure it's his number. I'm going to try to reach him through the day, and I recommend anyone else who got scammed do so as well.

Please report back in this thread if you can reach him.

Theses are selling for $499 on Newegg  Shocked
No they're not? Newegg doesn't even have any 5970's for sale. I'd like you to point out any place currently selling them at 500.

trentz, you're being pretty shady here, trying to force a fire sale from someone based on a wording error. Obviously she didn't mean that she'd automatically accept any offer; otherwise someone could lowball her (like you did) and she'd have to ship them.

What she obviously meant from the context of that sentence was that any offers would be CONSIDERED.

What you're doing here is *so shady*, trying to take advantage of someone. But good luck enforcing the "contract" that you made, if you decide to continue being a (insert pejorative noun here).

For anyone who doesn't understand what "cursor keys" means (it took me more than once), it's the up down left and right arrows on the keyboard.
707  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS: 5970, like new with box. on: September 05, 2011, 04:59:09 PM
I'm willing to offer. $440 worth of btc (or USD, whichever you prefer).

and I'll help you save a little money by having it shipped to a commercial addresss instead of residential (UPS and Fedex are cheaper that way).
708  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: GUI miner INVISIBLE! on: September 05, 2011, 04:55:52 PM
FOUND FIX

Open up a folder (Documents, Libraries, whatever) and click elsewhere to lose focus (we're doing this to simulate your missing GUIminer window)
In the taskbar, left-click once on the folder icon so it gains focus
Now, press "ALT-Space" (you will see a menu appear on the folder)
Press "M" to choose the Move option (your cursor will now turn into four arrow points).
Press any of the cursor keys once (this will move your folder on the screen and it will be captured by the mouse)
Move your mouse about and you will see the folder moving with it
Left-Click to "drop" the folder onto your desktop

I have no idea how you figured that out, but THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. That's flipping wonderful!

Do you have a btc address I can tip? I was about to reinstall windows to fix the problem. :/

Just GUIminer. .... :/

Using Windows 7

Anybody else having a problem where you just simply can't see the guiminer anymore? I can see it in the task bar, and it's working (submitting shares still), but I can't access the interface AT ALL anymore.

Closing it and reopening it doesn't seem to fix the problem either. Deleting, then uninstalling it doesn't do anything either. arrrgh :/

Windows is convinced it's there, but even when I go to task manager, select it, and select "switch to", nothing gets switched to. WTF?!?!?! (using latest guiminer btw, re-downloaded from OP just today).

Do you have a gfx card that is using a dummy plug or using 11.7-11.8 driver w/ a card that has no monitor or dummy plug hooked up to it?

If so, the app might be popping up on that virtual monitor that you cannot see. Duplicate all monitors through CCC or screen resolution, and guiminer should pop up.

Yeah, I thought it might be on a virtual monitor, so I tried making it  so that everything had to be on 1 screen (and so it would be duplicated across other screens). No dice. Sad

Also, no dummy plugs, 2 cards, 2 monitors - 1 in each.

Kiv - you know what could cause this? I've donated some btc to you in the past? I could use some support? Cheesy

Bump  Cry

Would you take $200? To save you money on shipping, you can ship it to a commercial address (my work), as that's a cheaper way to ship.

Offer still stands? :/

What constitutes a "smart" miner. Your link does not let me see the contents.
717  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] New HD 5970 for 50k i0coins (~$380!) on: September 03, 2011, 04:07:52 AM
There's not enough liquidity at the exchange. Sad

It would cost 70 btc to buy 50k IOcoin, which is like $600. :/ Any chance you'd be ok with 25k IOCoin ($248) and then the remaining $132 in btc?
718  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] New HD 5970 for 50k i0coins (~$380!) on: September 03, 2011, 03:58:33 AM
Is there an exchange where I can buy IOCoins?

I'll buy that 5970.

{edit, reading up on exchange now}
719  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Re: WTS: 5x5850 and a 5970 on: September 02, 2011, 11:32:39 PM
Would you take $450 in btc for the 5970?
