I have yet to meet an 80 year old who wants to live another 24 years in pain and demented misery. Life extension < Life quality

I have. One of my neighbors is 84 and he told me he plans to live to 100-110. He lived an active life, does yoga every day, reads books about life extension, keeps his mind active. But then again some people are just luckier than others, and I don't even believe in free will.
703  Other / Meta / Re: BRC20 tokens are altcoins on: December 19, 2023, 01:35:19 PM
Yet they are still on the Bitcoin blockchain and not an altcoin blockchain.
Correct. And there it's called dust. Or spam. Let's say I start calling one of my inputs "My Precious". Even though that input is on the Bitcoin blockchain, it makes no sense to create topics about My Precious.

You can open the topic in Bitcoin Discussion and I don't think it would be deleted or moved. It would be weird but its still about something taking place on the bitcoin blockchain. The point is BRC-20 are not altcoins. The term "alt" infers a chain other than bitcoin.
704  Other / Meta / Re: BRC20 tokens are altcoins on: December 19, 2023, 01:28:10 PM
First of all, they're on the Bitcoin blockchain.
That's true, but I'd argue it's irrelevant. They have no meaning on the Bitcoin blockchain other than "Bitcoin dust". The "meaning" comes from whatever a third party made up.

Yet they are still on the Bitcoin blockchain and not an altcoin blockchain.

Tokens are also altcoins. But I agree that bitcoin tokens can be regarded not to be altcoins.

Tokens are sub-units that reside on a parent blockchain... For example, DOGE is a coin, not a token. SHIB is a token because it lives on Ethereum.

BRC-20 are not altcoins in any sense of the word.

First of all, they're on the Bitcoin blockchain.

Second of all, they're tokens, not coins.

There really isn't a great area of the forum for topics discussing them, and most people involved with them don't visit this forum, so its not really a problem. If its general inscription talk, I think Bitcoin Discussion is suitable. If its advertisements for BRC-20, the best current place is probably Tokens (Altcoins) or Marketplace (Altcoins), although they're still not altcoins.
707  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 19, 2023, 05:58:54 AM
Mempool slightly better but still not great. 150 sat/byte could very well be the new normal.

708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BEL] Bells - Fast and fun! - Scrypt - Random Block Rewards - No Premine on: December 19, 2023, 03:01:33 AM
Agree 100%, this project should be revived with the original blockchain copy, not a fork.

Indeed it appears that the original software on gdrive is the one that adam is sharing.

Yes it may have been launched with the original software, but the blockchain started over again at block 0. This wipes the history of the chain. So its not the "original Bells", its a clone of Bells. Which is fine, but it should have been presented as such.

I wouldn't be surprised if nobody kept a copy of the old chain... This project didn't last for very long & never had a whole lot of interest.

Sucks to end the fantasy season with yet another L.

Oh well.

Congrats to the playoff makers.

These last 2 weeks are gonna be lit. Teams that need a W for playoff purposes are gonna be trying extra hard, might place some bets around that premise.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Shitcoin 3.0 - First Parody Token on the First Parody Blockchain! on: December 19, 2023, 12:43:14 AM
With all the shittokens on all the various chains now pumping more than ever, there's been renewed interest in SHITCOIN.

Amazing Shitcoin Stats

Current Marketcap:$189,327.272,103,636.3426 DOGE
Last DOGE Price:$0.002727270.03030303 DOGE
Current DOGE Floor:$0.0024750.0275 DOGE
Last Dispense:27,720for 840 DOGE
Total # of holders:460
Fuck I hate tables.

Once we have over 1000 holders we will begin to appear like a much more serious shitcoin.

In other exciting news, we've added 5000 SHITCOINs to the Dogermint Starter Pack:

For 1000 DOGE you get:

– 1 HAPPYDOGE
– 2 SUPERSHIBE
– 10 HAPPYSHIBE
– 10 DODGERDOGE
– 10 WEBCOIN
– 100 COUNTERDOGE

plus now for a limited time only,

– 5000 SHITCOIN

How does it work? Use your Dogewallet to send 1000 DOGE to the following address:

DEL7D818jot5U8a1VGCudCEoDAnoxnb8x3

and all the above-mentioned assets will be automatically sent to you. It's easy as cake. Not even Ethereum has something so trustless, so simple.

Stop fooling around with second-tier shittokens and start investing in the best, today!!!!

711  Other / Meta / Re: Ruissian mod? on: December 17, 2023, 03:38:48 PM
Politics & Society is hardly a "serious" section of the forum. Its the refuge of lunatics, trolls and a regular exhibition of the Dunning-Kreuger effect in full force. And that's fine, it keeps them there and away from other sections. All the mod has to do there is demonstrate that they are capable of regularly deleting spam. That's about it.
712  Economy / Reputation / Re: Looking for a honest Escrow on: December 17, 2023, 03:12:24 PM
Yes you can set your own fee on both Exodus and Trust. And I know it would not confirm if you got to low fee but that's does not matter in this case.

Well I just double-checked and neither of those apps have custom fee settings for me. I am using an old desktop version of Exodus to be fair. It appears you can do it on mobile.

Try this: Send 0.0001BTC from Trust to Exodus (or whatever you feel like, but NOT an Exchange) with 10sat/byte. You will be able to use the 0.0001BTC on Exodus after a minute. (At least what I think and that have worked for me)
This long time waiting if a wallet requires confirmations. If I am wrong please don't laugh i am still new, but I am pretty sure this works.
So the mempool fee's won't affect this.

Bro, all you are doing is sending unconfirmed coins. If the parent transaction never confirms, it will be like you never sent anything at all. Nobody who knows what they're doing will accept them for payment until they've been confirmed.

edit:

Locking the topic because I feel a Escrow is not needed and the must have been said and I learned a new thing, sorry to you that had right and I said you didn't. My apologizes.

OK I didn't see this post earlier. Good call.
713  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 17, 2023, 02:25:18 PM

Fees are more than block rewards! mempool cost is crazy at the moment!

Is this a way to artificially suppress the price…

I don't know. This is madness. There is a second-layer shitcoin market that's currently all the rage on bitcoin, but the bubble has to pop at some point. Its gonna be brutal for them, good for everyone else.
714  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 will not pay anyone for the last week /Sinbad campaign/ on: December 17, 2023, 01:59:07 PM
What can I say, I don't choose who shows up on my weekly list of DT1 and DT2 members who have negative feedback (or are banned).

Admit it Loyce, the entire reason you constructed and maintain these lists is so you can covertly profess your love and admiration of Royse777.

Seems like I missed some more recent drama with Royse777, because I'm reading new accusations.  Question:  is all the information in this thread or elsewhere?  I'd like to know before I embark on a bunch of reading that would require a lot of attention being paid to it.  I'm not being lazy, just efficient and asking for help.

Its really not worth reading. No manager has a 100% success rate when it comes to avoiding projects that turn out to be scams, or not what they were advertising themselves as (although some are better at staying away from them than others).
715  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Remember Moolah/MintPal? on: December 17, 2023, 01:30:45 PM
Holy hell, I hadn't thought about that guy for a long time. Last time I heard about Alex Green (real name Ryan Kennedy) is when he got out of prison after serving time for rape charges. I had a few bit of coins on Moolah after they migrated from Mintpal; sadly I can't find any emails or record of them anywhere. I'm quite sure my account there wasn't associated with my name, anyway. I also lost coins on Cryptsy and Cryptopia -- so it goes.

Dogecoin oldtimers still remember him (un-)fondly as the scourge of Doge. He's the one that basically made both of the Dogecoin founders bail from crypto in its entirety. Billy started hanging around again after Elon blew up DOGE, moving from grift to grift, kind of wish he wouldn't. He's only slightly better for DOGE than Alex Green. To be fair I don't think Billy is a psychopath, though.
716  Economy / Reputation / Re: Looking for a honest Escrow on: December 17, 2023, 01:13:40 PM
Yes I know about the fee's issue right now. But for example if you send from Exodus to Trust. You can have 20 Satoshi as fee and I think the receiver still can use the funds, it would be worse if they used and Exchange. because then they need to wait for confirmation maybe 2 or even 3. But this is not fact this is just what I think. Is this true or false anyone?

No, you can't set a fee with Exodus or Trust. Even if you could, and you set it for 20 sat/byte, it will likely never confirm and fall out of the mempool after 2 weeks. They can't use the funds until your transaction has at least one confirmation, which given the current state of things, it is highly unlikely to achieve.
717  Economy / Reputation / Re: Looking for a honest Escrow on: December 17, 2023, 10:53:37 AM
With the current state of the mempool, its gonna cost about 40% of your total prize value to make a transaction to the escrow. Maybe things will cool down in the near future, but really paying out contest participant winners just comes down to a matter of you following through on your word. I'd say escrow is not worth it or necessary in this instance.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who lost money due to dogecoin? on: December 17, 2023, 05:16:15 AM
So we all remember the time when dogecoin first came out, it was such a hyped-up altcoin, and everybody was excited about it. People start investing into the coin, and then it ends up sky rocketing! Who here was one of the people who invested into dogecoin while it was around the 60 cent mark, and wanted it to go up even higher, but then ended up losing a ton of money?

It always sucks to take a bath on a crypto investment, but ultimately you have to remember that nobody put a gun to your head and make you buy Dogecoin. Buying it at 60 cents when it had already risen so dramatically earlier that year turned out to be a technically unsound decision. I don't blame you for wanting to jump in on the Elon hype train -- it just turns out that you jumped in at the worst possible time.

Having said that, I do believe DOGE could eventually reclaim its former glory. It all depends on how things shake out with this Doginals stuff that is currently flooding blocks, and if Elon still considers it worthy for integrating with X as a result of it.
719  Economy / Reputation / Re: Nutildah's bounty cheaters & ban evaders thread on: December 17, 2023, 05:05:33 AM
There is a lot of reasonable proof here you are very experienced from us and you can see all BTT account activity between 4-6-7 and seeing them in the same series it is clear that all the accounts are managed by one person.

I'm sure you're right, but I'm no longer doing this for free anymore, outside of analyzing accounts that really bug me. I opened up my own Bounty Cleanup & Alt Detection Service that is available to campaign managers that want to weed cheaters out of their campaign. Some campaigns don't even have the "no alts" rule, but for the ones that do, they could save money for their clients by refusing to needlessly pay out extra tokens to cheaters.
720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ordinal blockchain irking me, causing almost $40 median fee now... on: December 17, 2023, 05:00:46 AM
Its indeed a giant pain in the B. But it appears to come in waves, and I'm also of the opinion that it won't last forever. Its no longer just Ordinals / BRC-20 that is congesting the mempool, however. Regular BTC users are now competing with Bitcoin Stamps, SRC-20, and now also BTNS (Broadcast Token Naming system), of which tens of thousands of transactions have been made for within the last couple months. Certainly renders making normal transactions out the window for the time being.
