703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: January 30, 2015, 02:59:05 PM
Anyone here heard about any news on Stellar?  The coin seems a bit quiet, at least I could not google any info

There's not much in the news, but STR got included on Bittrex few days ago:
https://bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-STR

This is one of the major altcoin exchanges, volume will eventually build up. It's more important to be traded then to be in the news.

Bittrex does not have much volume, that's why it rose to 16K sats earlier.

713  Economy / Gambling / Re: Challenge: What's the best way to win 1 BTC with 1 BTC? on: January 29, 2015, 06:19:52 AM
i personally have been messing with a system on primedice that did well for me yesterday.

11 sat base 7% win chance 25% increase on loss. autoroll to a huge win. i won .5 using this system. and i started with much less. with 1btc starter id prob start with 100 sat base.

My lowest was 45% win chance.
never tried to go to such a low figure as 7%.
will try it out.

i recommend a minimum .1-.2 starter roll. you will see lots of red streaks and you gotta be able to sustain 50-75 losses

ok to be clear, its 0.1 btc to 0.2 btc starter roll? cool.

so whats the difference between this and 1 bet at a dice site?
You get to play against other players and the probability of winning is bigger.

Although this round is a bit long, because it's the first one, but maybe the next ones will be daily, or with variants like the winner takes it all with a jackpot added, so what's your opinion on the site?  Smiley

Feel free to express your ideas, it only helps make the site better and more fun!

I guess daily draws will spice things up.
At least I don't have to wait too long to know if I have won.

Sure!  Smiley

You just need to deposit, as soon as you do that you are given a random number.

When you do that, your deposit transaction has a TX Id. For example, the lucky person that just deposited:
http://blockchain.info/tx/1ccb96cf52ab01319d4363609714063f3437d5ab3d1dcb3430b57735d04c35c5

1ccb96cf52ab01319d4363609714063f3437d5ab3d1dcb3430b57735d04c35c5 - You extract the 13,14,15,16 digits
0131  *But that is a hexadecimal number so we convert it to decimal = "305"

When the game ends, the players are paid out 135% of their deposit until the pool has not enough to pay the players, so that's why 75% win. Also the first to lose gets the remaining of the pool as a consolation price.

I've added a video on the site, to try to explain that  Cool

Really pro looking video, love it.
