7021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: would u open a loan to buy the dip? on: January 13, 2019, 05:13:58 PM
Hell no! It's too risky and stupid in my opinion. I heard some stories that people opened loans at $18k-16k when Bitcoin already started to go down. Put yourself into position of these people. Now they lost much - they were forced to sell their cars, houses and other valuable property to return loan. For me it looks similar like to take loan for gambling. There is one golden rule - don't invest more than you afford to lose. Better invest less, but wisely.
And in general, I'm very sceptical about loans. Now people open loans very easy for even small purchases without thinking much about it. While I rather have less, but my own money rather than return money that I lent from bank with interest.
7022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AMA (Ask Me Anything): Bitcoin in the Philippines on: January 13, 2019, 12:34:17 AM
I have one question. Can you tell us about attitude of commercial banks in Philippines towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies? As far as I know Central Bank of Philippines didn't recognized Bitcoin as currency, so it's grey area for commercial banks. Are they sceptical about crypto? From what I read, legal status of Bitcoin is similar like in my country, attitude of Central Bank also, but commercial banks are not crypto-friendly. They can even close your account if you deal with crypto, some banks also have restricted transfers to several crypto exchanges.
7023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lamassu in my local bagel shop on: January 13, 2019, 12:14:59 AM
There was 2 Bitcoin ATM's in my country, but I haven't tried to use. I just don't have any reasons to do that when I can buy Bitcoins from exchange without going out from my home and with much better rates and lower fees. I probably would use it only in urgent situation. OP, I see that you also not planning to use Bitcoin ATM's regular and only tried to see how it works. I'm not really sure who are users of Bitcoin ATM's, maybe people who want to buy Bitcoins anonymously.
I'm quite sceptical about Bitcoin ATM's, but there are reports that they are quite popular and growing number of installed machines shows it. But my country is a bit different because last year both ATM's were removed due to formal regulations and not clear things with taxes.
7024  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freebitco.in turn scam on: January 12, 2019, 07:53:26 PM
Wait a minute, aren't FBC's withdrawals processed without any email confirmation, except the notification about the amount withdrawed?

I withdrawed mine several times without any issues, and they're via Instant.
You're right about that. I'm not sure maybe, email confirmation is required when 2FA is enabled.
7025  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: How to increase income from my faucet . on: January 12, 2019, 07:05:30 PM
At first thanks for your reply and i think you give me all avialable choices
TheN that is my faucet
http://doge.autofaucet.pw
I see that you're already using shortlinks, that's good. Another suggestion - it's not worth to have so many A-Ads banners on your website because it doesn't helps to improve income - you will stell get pretty much same income like having just 1 A-Ads banner.
Another thing which aren't related to monetization - it would be be good to change text color from white to black, because now your faucet ballance, rewards and timer is hardly visible.
7026  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freebitco.in turn scam on: January 11, 2019, 10:35:51 PM
Just because that you didn't received withdrawal confirmation is enough reason to tell that Freebitco.in turned into scam? Do you think that they would really risk their reputation builded in all these years just to scam you for 400k Satoshi? Have you at least tried to contact their support before making this accusation? If not, then drop a PM with your account details to TheQuin who is community manager of Freebitco.in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=143168. Ther was some issue with confirmation emails from Freebitco.in because few email providers blocked messages from this website. So, now it's recommend to use Gmail on your Freebitco.in account to avoid such issues.
7027  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Can we trust Blockchain.com? (Poll) on: January 11, 2019, 09:01:05 PM
I use Blockchain.com wallet, but I have tiny amount of BTC on this wallet. I can say that I trust them, but only up to certain level. I wouldn't hold large number of BTC on web wallet, especially when I have hardware wallet.
I haven't claimed Stellar airdrop from Blockchain.com wallet. It's not because I don't trust them, KYC is probably is the most effective way to prevent abuse in similar giveways, but I just don't want to sell my identity for just $25. And from my personal perspective I don't see reasons to do KYC which I use as crypto wallet and nothing more.
Probably majority of you in this thread have done KYC on various exchanges and don't see nothing wrong in it. In my opinion KYC on Blockchain.com wallet isn't something worse. It's better than give your sensitive personal information to random ICO's with easy hand.
P.S I wouldn't be surprised if one day they will require KYC for all their users. It's just my prediction, but I see that they are moving to it step by step.
7028  Economy / Reputation / Re: I got Tag after I was untag ! on: January 11, 2019, 12:27:00 AM
Oh dude, you wasn't un-tagged. You always had red tag since January of 2018, it just was shown as "Untrusted feedback" because Lauda was out of DT. Now Lauda is back to DT and feedback left by Lauda now affects your trust score.
And you got red tag not without reason. Reason is shown in reference. But you are free to prove that you aren't involved in ICO bumping services and you're tagged without any reason.
7029  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: How to increase income from my faucet . on: January 10, 2019, 11:46:56 PM
Can you post link of your faucet? I want to see to know you monetize your faucet now and how you can improve it.
Ot's not easy task to get profit from faucet. Owner of faucet must be creative and use all available methods to earn revenue. I understand that you don't want to use popups, owners of other faucets also don't want, but they are forced to do that to survive.
Another way to get revenue - shortlinks. On many faucets visitor must visit shortlink before claiming coins. Maybe you wont get big revenue from it, but still, it helps.
Javascript miners like Coinhive is another option. Many viditors hate such miners, so it's better to have warning on website if you're using it. But if you have small traffic - it's not worth to use it in my opinion.
And offcourse - advertising networks. There are lot of Bitcoin paying advertising networks - http://www.bitcoins4free.ml/overview-bitcoin-advertising-networks/ . Not all of them accepts faucets, others have strict approval criteria. I recommend to check list and if you meet requirements on some of these networks - apply to it.
7030  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 10, 2019, 08:22:36 PM
trust depth is 4

There's your issue. A trust depth of 4 means that you are trusting the ratings of probably half the forum. So someone on DT1 trusts someone who trusts someone who trusts jamalaezaz. Lower your depth to 2 and his ratings will disappear. Better yet, make a customised trust list.
Ok, thanks for explanation, I'm going to change trust depth. With recent changes building a customised trust list is good suggestion, but for me it will be more difficult to  do that because I'm not doing trades or business here, so in most cases I can't use my personal experience to build my trust list.
7031  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 10, 2019, 08:07:01 PM
Ok, new trust system looks a bit more complicated and difficult to understand. I just want to ask one question - is it jamalaezaz https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=721115 now DT member?
No. Go to some random user who received trust from Jamal. Then append ";dt", e.g. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=487418;dt.

Because I see feedbacks left by him are shown as Trusted. If he is DT member now, who have him on their trust list (sorry but I don't know how to check it)
It must be something related to your list. Did you build a custom one?
No, I didn't edit, I'm just using DefaultTrust and trust depth is 4

7033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which are the fastest streaming services available? on: January 10, 2019, 05:31:36 PM
I also would be interested to find streaming service without delay. Now I'm using Flashscore app, but it's not streaming service. It's livescore app where you can get notifications after something important happened - goal scored, red card and etc. But you get notifications only after 10-15 seconds.
IPTV is a good option because there are almost no delay. But there are one downside - usually good iptv providers give big number of sports channels, but it's still not enough. Smaller leagues or lower divisions are rarely broadcasted on TV, so if you want to bet on such events IPTV isn't an option for you.
Personally, I prefere to watch sports through Acestream (P2P streaming service) because of Full HD quality and no lag, but it has too big delay.
I also can give link of my favourite website of sports streaming - http://livetv.sx/enx/. Other similar websites have too much annoying ads, popups and malware, while this one is clean.
7034  Economy / Reputation / Re: Account buyers waiting red trust on: January 10, 2019, 02:54:01 PM
For future reference: Avoid wasting your own time on low ranked members (especially those that have no merit). They are throwaway accounts.
Yea, that's why I am not posting account seller and buyer lately. Especially who are just newbie. Although tag them but they are not going to stop it and they know very well someone will tag for that. So most of time sellers and buyer just create new account to trade. But I believe most of seller are fake, even they don't have account for sell. Thier intention is just scam others. Selling legendary account for only 150$ isn't really scam attempt?

By the way since forum still allow account selling, Don't expect red tag from DT expect TP. If especially newbie account. Or better OP can send PM to The Pharmacist.
It's true that most of sellers using throw-away accounts to post. They are not stupid to post with higher rank account because they know that it will be tagged and it's not worth to ruin account.
But in my opinion, such Newbie accounts should be also tagged to prevent them from joining bounties in future.
7035  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Monthly minimum wage: ~$82 is that too much to ask? on: January 10, 2019, 12:16:42 AM
This is very wrong for everyone.
You don't go from $50 to $82 overnight. That's impossible for businesses operating in
least developed countries. Instead, the Nigerian government should have done it organically,
meaning that after 1 year, the minimum wage was increased from $50 to $55, after another year
from $55 to $60, after another year from $60 to $65.
I know it's not a big different from $50 to $82 however as a business scales, it becomes impossible
to give 'that much' to so many people.
I agree with you. It's impossible to increase minimal wages from $49 to $82 immediately. Imagine yourself being businessmsn in suhch scenario (I'm not talking about large corporations with huge profits) who owns small or medium company. From where you would take 2x money to pay wages. Don't forget that if wages will increase you will have to pay more taxes. Only thing that you can do in such case - increase prices of your production or service to get money for salaries. So, if wages will increase by that much people will not feel that because they will have to spend much more money for food and other stuff that they need. It's normal that governments increasing minimal wages only step by step. I perfectly understand that people aren't happy about it, it's normal, but you should understand that increasing minimal wage by 2x is impossibke in normal conditions.
7036  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Did anyone notice a familiar logo on the UFC 232: JONES VS. GUSTAFFSON 2 event? on: January 09, 2019, 03:47:33 PM
It's cool to see that crypto is getting more visibilty through sponsorship of sports. And it looks that such advertising deals become very common. I can give few more examples:
NEM cryptocurrency is one of main sponsors of my favourite basketball club. Few days ago I watched Wolves - Liverpool match and saw advertisement of one cryptocurrency exchange on LED banners in stadium. One ICO project Lympo become sponsor of NBA team Dallas Mavericks.
I'm not sure how this way of advertising through sports is effective, but I think it's great way to reach huge audience of sports fans.
7037  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 473 Days Building a Helpful Free Crypto Site Directory - Need Help on: January 09, 2019, 03:27:47 PM
I have to say thanks to all the faucet owners that have messaged me about listing their faucets on cryptolinks. At the moment we will not list any faucets on our list, because there is too much scam involved in this faucets. We were analyzing these sites for quiet some time and it is about 80% or more faucet sites scam.

So if there is too much scam involved in these things we can not list them. I know that we can not make 100% scam free collection, but if we can get near this number I will be very thankful Smiley

It makes no sense to add faucets to your crypto directory, in that way you will be only make faucet list. But there is few sites which have faucets list with faucets that pay, most of them direct to FaucetHub microwallet where users can accumulate coins from faucets, and after reach some treshold withdraw to their wallets.

This way of paying reduce scam to minimum, and since I have faucet list it is in my best interest to keep it clean from scam sites. Many say that faucets are waste of time, but for users from some very poor countries every $ are counted at the end of the month.
I agree with you that there should be some place for faucet. Faucets is important part of cryptocurrency world, many people discover crypto through faucets. But you're right that individual faucets shouldn't be listed. There are simply too much scam and many faucets stop working after few weeks or months. So, listing of faucet microwallets like Faucethub or Coinpot would be better idea. Maybe Freebitco.in could be also listed because it's oldest and most popular faucet.

Anyone received the new Mistertango mastercard?
No, because currently they don't offer new cards. All pre-orders were canceled because it seems that they still didn't found new card provider. Here is their message:
Quote
Dear client,

we are sorry to inform you that currently we have to cancel all preorders for cards due to a change process of card providers.

We’re working hard on a solution that’s good for our clients, but unfortunately it will still take some time. Just as soon as we’re able to accept new orders for cards, we will let know you all the details.
7040  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone using Crypto with Revolut? on: January 08, 2019, 02:58:51 PM
I have Revolut card, but I never tried to buy crypto on Revolut. I don't see any reasons to do that. Actually you can't buy real crypto on Revolut. It's impossible to withdraw crypto from Revolut, you also can't deposit it to your account. You only can buy/sell crypto inside Revolut. Crypto that you buy on Revolut don't even exist on blockchain.
But their card is good choice if you want to purchase crypto on other exchanges.
