721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Exchange recommendations- wire transfer capable on: July 22, 2017, 05:12:29 PM
Fed up with Coinbase/GDAX taking forever for wire transfers and losing them. Anyone have a recommendation for a reputable place that can handle US wire transfers without huge fees or delays?

Try deleting the number 3 in order quantity and put 1. looks like it might work?

I received a voicemail from UPS saying:
"Hi, I'm trying to include a shipment that's coming in to you from China. What I need is a federal tax ID for your business or a social security number and all of the creditorship...
Could you please give me a callback?"

So, I call back and tell what? Ask for their email and send that document (invoice) that Bitmain sent me?  Huh
I'm in US.

Was your order $2500+? My understanding is that's the only time they need your EIN/SSN. Probably tax implications for customs duties on that big of an order.

4 x L3+ ($5190.8 total in Bitmain invoice)

yea probably have to pay a bit, 0.3464%

Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF)

All imports to the USA are subject to the Merchandise Processing Fee. The MFP is based on the order value, and is divided into two categories:

Imports of goods valued less than US$2500: US$2, US$6, or US$9 per shipment
Imports of goods valued more than US$2500: 0.3464% of the goods value
(Minimum MPF: US$25, Maximum MPF: US$485)
The MPF is in general a rather negligible expense when importing from China. Click here to read more about the Merchandise Processing Fee.

From the look of it. Innosilicon has just put forward a vaporware to undermine the Bitmain D3 miner. Bad bussiness practice.

^^^Winner

I'll stick with the D3 (with a big fat assumption I can grab one)

To small screen users: Please leave a comment of your view on the table. Does it fit to your screen? WorkingForBitcoins seems a long name and it might have affected some of you. I will shorten it if it did.

Im on an iPad and it doesn't all display, but I can scroll left/right without too much difficulty. Cuts off right at the 'Max' column for me in landscape mode.

And just a related question so I'm understanding this right, if a Junior member were to join 777coin and they make 80 posts in a week then that would payout .048 BTC, correct?

It's 0.0048 BTC not 0.048BTC. You're missing a zero. Smiley Thanks for the comment by the way, I'll edit the WorkingForBitcoins tomorrow to WorkingFor BTC

Edit: Actually I'll do it now. Please leave a comment about it again.

On laptop everything looks correct. My screen resolution for sure is not the highest, so most users should be able to see it without problems.

Thanks, my primary concern was people that use a phone or tablet to browse. People that are using a phone will do a landscape mode to view the table but can they see it without having to scroll left/right is the question.

Damnit! Math in public is not my strong suit! Thanks for the correction. New format looks perfect to me, the only thing that is cut off now is under the escrow column when there is a 'Y/N' the N gets cut off.

Dumb question, but I managed to order a L3+ with PSU from bitmain. Won't it come with a power cord? Or do I need one of these too?
732  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Need to start mining (MASSIVE BUDGET) on: July 17, 2017, 02:08:18 PM
If you would have just bought $63k of BTC at yesterday's lows then you'd already be around 10% gain ($6.3k)

734  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin rise or fall? CONFUSED on: July 16, 2017, 06:45:58 PM
The only guarantee is that BTC prices will fluctuate. Anyone claiming to know otherwise is a fool.

And my other favorite cliché: Be greedy when others are fearful, and fearful when others are greedy.

736  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cheapest L3+ , S9 & Baikal Miners Available to Ship from Stock - MinersNow JULY on: July 16, 2017, 06:02:04 PM
Well, time for an update and it's not a good one. You guys were right. I placed an order last Sunday June 9th and still haven't received a shipping notice. Tried contacting the company and they said to just wait. Website says the order ships each week, but it's not looking like that. I'd advise everyone to be careful. It seemed too good to be true, and it was.

You should be the person asking for his order on the 4th day, claiming to have ordered "last week". We haven't told you to "just wait", here's what we exactly told you for everyone to see:

Quote
Hello,

We have sent you an e-mail through our primary mailbox info@minersnow.com on the day of your order but from your message sent today we believe you may not have received it. Your order with reference code VVFZEPYYW given on July 10, 2017 is currently being processed and will be shipped from our South Korea warehouse's weekly shipment in the coming days.

You will be notified once your package is out.

It has been a busy week and we have had a lot of orders waiting to be fulfilled, so please accept our apologies if we have kept you waiting too long.

Thank you for your understanding, and choosing us.

Best Regards,

MinersNow

Well, I appreciate the message. I did not receive that in my personal email and haven't been able to see the order status or messages on your website. I paid July 9 6:46pm (US east coast) and sent a message on the 10th because I couldn't track my order on your website. It was my screwup that caused this (I created the order under guest checkout, then later signed up for a regular user account which subsequently wouldn't let me use the 'guest tracking' section of the website). I was hoping there was a way to fix that, but understand the limitations if not.

I understand your frustration as the seller dealing with pushy and impatient customers, and I ask that you understand the anxiety we as customers have since you are a new company without much feedback on here and we are spending a significant amount of money. I will wait for the shipment to arrive, thanks for the response.

How about if you mine coins yourself? Mine 1 BTC and sell it for $2000, is that a $2000 capital gain (in the US)?
738  Economy / Economics / Re: Morgan Stanley on: July 15, 2017, 05:32:10 PM
It's like asking a horse breeder his thoughts on the development of an automobile. What the hell do you expect a big financial institution to say?

Yea that will work. Thanks!
740  Other / Meta / Watch list for bitcointalk? on: July 15, 2017, 12:28:07 PM
I've clicked the button to 'watch' threads, but where can I go to access the saved threads? When I click the watchlist at the top of the forum it only shows when there are new posts. Thanks
