721  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: April 10, 2023, 04:01:14 PM
If you know yourself that you can manage your borrowed money correctly and you can grow it, do it. However, if you do this without concern, the money you borrow will only be put at risk or go to nothing.
Aside from this, it's also important that you are not just relying on the investment that you'll be entering in to pay your debt. Always think of the worst that can happen because investing is risky, and have another plan just incase. It's a good debt if you'll use the money to make more money and would not use it for luxuries. However make sure that you have the capabilities to repay your debt even your investment didn't work well.

Anyway, dont borrow if you can just to invest, much better to use your own money when you invest so less stress in your part and you won't be pressured.

This is a good idea since if you are capable enough in terms of your salary to pay the loan that you invest, it is good debt to consider. You are paying the debt and over time the money you invest would take profit but take note that this does not guarantee anything. It is very risky to invest on crypto, but when it comes to bitcoin specifically, I can see its potential and I know that it can peak again in the future.

In my opinion, to change our lives for the better, we have to be willing to take risks, of course, everyone understands that the risk of investing in bitcoin is very high, but if we don't dare to take risks, we don't have a chance to get big profits. so in my opinion we have to be brave in investing in bitcoin even though we have to take a loan.

I agree, you really need to put yourself into situations with uncertainty to really progress as an individual and taking risk is one way to go. Know that higher risks will be the only one that could offer you higher returns. It takes a brave soul to take this step and I soon want to take this step to make my life be better.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are you still strong holding btc on: April 10, 2023, 03:45:28 PM
as we know today btc is in the range of 28000, and i was very lucky to be able to buy btc when the price was still low, and now if i sell it i have a profit but if i sell it now i'm afraid i won't be able to
buying from the bottom again,, and I'm currently struggling to hold btc so I don't sell it,

I want to ask if you also  keep holding btc?

and the reason I hold btc is because I believe the price of btc in 2024 will be high and there will be no more btc prices like now.

I bought when it was much higher. Of course I hold

This proves that there are different circumstances that happened for you to hold your investment. I think, there should always be a target that should be reached so that you will have a clear track on what to do, and you don't have those idea of selling it. But, situations really vary so that it is really hard to predicts what could happen. I think what we can to is just stood up to your decisions. At the end of the day, you can learn something from it.

Holding Bitcoin for the long term is a strategy followed by many investors who believe in the potential of the technology and its growth prospects.
However, it's important to note that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are volatile assets that can experience significant price swings in short periods.
Therefore, it's essential to have a clear investment plan and risk management strategy in place.
However, holding or selling Bitcoin is a personal decision that depends on your investment goals, risk tolerance, and market outlook.

This is true since holding bitcoin for long term has been proven to be profitable and a good investment. I think there is a great potential on this cryptocurrency as we move forward to a more digital future. It is given that cryptos are very volatile which is good in terms of long term holding since it could yield to higher profit. I agree that you should always plan all your financial situations and assess everything that could happen even the worst things that could happen.
723  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: April 10, 2023, 03:22:03 PM
Saving will never be able to produce anything, now we are familiar with cryptocurrencies that we can use as a means to get large income, saving will only make the banks bigger and make us poorer. The ratio between those who save money in banks and those who provide credit is so far away that saving money in banks will not increase.

But investing is also risky, there is no guarantee that the investment will always generate a return without risk. Saving and investing are two essential things if we want to live a proactive life in all circumstances. But investing also has certain risks, so I think it is better to set up savings first because life will have unforeseen events. Investment should be made only when we have extra money, we should not borrow or invest with money that cannot be lost.

I agree since I think Saving and Investing have different uses and it is both important to have. Saving is important to be allocated to things that is essential such as emergency funds and targeting on buying something. There is no increase of monetary value in saving since little interest of percentage is mostly given by banks; it is just what you put into savings. Investing is different since it is risky to take since there is no guarantee for returns. I agree that you should engage in investments when you are secured with your variety of saving accounts and you have extra money that you can risk without compromising your basic needs. So, both is really vital and you could start with savings and try to invest in the future.

Making as much money as possible when you are still strong enough to do a job is a very good thing, but having a lot of money without being able to manage it will be in vain. Therefore, financial planning at a very young age is much, much better because no one can predict the future. What will the future be like? Maybe now we can still make money, but who knows in the future? therefore true financial planning must be done

It is quite obvious how extremely important financial planning is since it would be a best gift to yourself when you grow older or retire in the future. Life is very unpredictable, so we should at least be ready for the perceivable events that might happen. It is best to plan everything and start saving at a very young age that considers your financial situation. Also, invest on yourself to continually improve and make yourself be active and healthy since these would make a difference when you got older. Lastly, I personally believe that we should continually revamp our knowledge so that we could always catch up to the advancing world that we live in.
726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Early Profit can be misleading. on: April 09, 2023, 08:21:02 PM
Just like op heard said, early profits can be very misleading because one might be thinking that he does not need the help or tutor of any protraders around him because he had starting making some few dollars from the market. The can can be tricky atimes especially for those newbies who joined the market and start making profits immediately without passing through any difficulties or making loses. Although sometimes I see it as luck since the market moves in a different way from our general perspective and making profits from the market does not really mean that you are a good trader at the initial stage.

I agree that early profits are misleading. There are different circumstances that might happen since there is no guarantee that you would get profit. It might happen to some people but not to all. Beginner's luck might come to your mind but keep in mind that market and economy is always changing. So, we should always be adaptable to these changes. Learn to assess the economy and see to it how you can apply your past experience to this current market. When you are newbie, it is best to explore the market cautiously so that you can gain experiences that you can use in the future.

...
Just give them time. Even professional traders are having obviously a newbie mindset back when they are noobs. Smiley

I feel myself still a newbie in trading and most things I can advise are about how not to make the same silly mistakes I did or saw multiple times. Well, what is good in that I've got some experience is that I lose now much more rare than in the beginning, but if about earning I'd say that I get more from those deals which become more investing than trading. And I guess it's not so bad even if it is not too much. At least I usually do not go into the red when viewed in retrospect. Grin

I agree, there will always be a newbie era for us to everything that we will do. Mistakes are normal to have but it is best to minimize it so that damages would be minimized too. Also, we should always learn from these mistakes and never ever do it twice again. It is great to have experience since these would be very vital and useful to your future decisions.
727  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: April 09, 2023, 08:00:29 PM
Yes that is true. People can do business from social media as well as create job vacancies for others too. Social media is useful for businesses, and it enables you to interact with your customers through Instagram, Facebook, Tweeter etc. Nowadays there is huge impact of advertisement in social media that's why social media influencer gets huge amount to promote any brand's products. In todays world social media is no longer just a place to connect and socialize with friends but now even small business use social media to promote their products, through which their business become very effective.
Its not always a smooth flow of money for all those who are doing business on social media
there are goods and bads - they too face moment of stress. Like we do in our offices and business

Yes, there is always a disadvantage in everything that we do in social media sites in terms of business. But this does not mean that it is always a disadvantage since majority of businesses have used the power of social media in various advantage such as promoting and conducting their business through online. The advantages actually outweigh the disadvantage because it has been proven how effective it is to use social media in business. Just use it wisely and make sure you use it the proper way.

...In todays world social media is no longer just a place to connect and socialize with friends but now even small business use social media to promote their products, through which their business become very effective.

I agree with these but I must add that social media's main purpose which is to connect people would continue to be the major function of it. I think majority of people are using these apps to contact and connect. The use of it for businesses would continue to grow since more and more people are engaging in business. So, it is actually good that more people are engaged in these apps so that broader customer can be reached since most people are aware and experiencing the digitalization of businesses.
728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 09, 2023, 07:44:04 PM

For me, predicting the winner of the first game of this series is so hard because like I have said before that this is a 50-50 series and either team could become a champion so I'll just wait for the result and bet on game2 as the loser will surely adjust and have the high chance of winning game2.

That's right, it may be a good strategy to bet on the team that lost in game 1, and then double down if they still lose in game 2. For sure, no team in this series will have an advantage of 3-0. This series will likely be a close one in my opinion, and it could potentially go to game 7 as the crowd loves to support Ginebra, and maybe they will take the game in the Philippine Arena again.

Well, I think that in terms of keeping the game more intense, both teams would let a game 7 to happen since more games would make more presence and more advertisements. I agree that it is a close fight but as someone whose majority of people around me tend to favor the Ginebra team, I adapt to their knowledge on these game. They believe that the Ginebra would get that win. Also, they are the ones who says that game 7 would most likely to happen and that there is some kind of alternation of the team winnings so that game 7 would exist. This is just a speculation, but is is fascinating to see it happen.
729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How honest and transparent are casinos? on: April 09, 2023, 07:14:29 PM
I suppose to provide peace of mind over people a small change in a reputable casino's site isn't that much of a problem isn't it? They can even just go over and do something like what's present in this forum where spreadsheets that are backlinked to a post could be made to fully list the names and details of the people who were able to obtain their bonuses. Plus they can automate the process and sort through the countless lists of accounts that are confirmed to have had bonuses enjoyed, nothing is really impossible in their case if they want to follow through with it.

Some casinos may do this, especially ones that are in this forum and are enthusiastically observing customer's feedback, but I doubt the whole industry will incorporate something like this, for one, this is soft-doxxing since you're letting everyone know of a gambler's username.

This is actually one way to go since it would make the process be more transparent. But since gambling is involved by majority that don't want their identity to be exposed, it would not probably work for all. I think there is no concrete way to validate these drops and see how they actually do these process. Since there is no regulation to most of these, there is no guarantee that it would do the actual process so reviews of people who got something from these is not that significant because even that can be manipulated

Well, i can only say one thing here. With dishonesty, the casino may gain few gamblers but in the long term they will lose the players and their business cannot survive and grow
On the other hand, if the casino is honest, the gamblers will be retained, they won't look for a new better casino and hence it will be good for the long term business.

Now it's up to the casinos how they want to operate and be successful in a world where there is a lot of competition. If a gambling casino is found to be dishonest, I am afraid gamblers will leave the casino forever, and it's hard to regain the trust of the casino.

I agree with these. I think there would always be a way for the people to know how legitimate the site is when it was experienced first hand by people. Every dishonesty would be found at no time. Trusting casinos is a big deal since money is involved in these and people tend to be very cautious. So, for me, I think majority of casinos are honest in giving these drops since these kind of marketing strategy is very effective to gain more customers and they probably do not want to ruin their image in the gambling industry.
730  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I take a loan to invest in bitcoin? on: April 09, 2023, 06:45:57 PM
Taking out a loan to invest in bitcoin is extremely risky because the cryptocurrency is unregulated and volatile. Bitcoin is a long-term investment, and the price can rise and fall at any time. How will you pay back the loan? It is preferable that you have a source of income so that if prices fall, you will not feel the pain.
Loans are only more suitable for use in more real trades, for example, such as opening a business buying and selling daily necessities that are always selling every day. Not to be used for investment because it will indeed be difficult for a borrower in terms of paying it off when it is due, unless the person taking the loan does have other income every month which income can be used to pay off the loan.

But still, it is highly not recommended because considering the risks are not small, so I say that loans in the form of money are only suitable for more real trading capital because the money can be rotated regularly so that it is not so difficult for the borrower to pay.

It will never be a good idea to take a loan just to invest in cryptos since it does not have guaranteed returns. The monthly profit from investing in bitcoin is not always positive profit that you can use to repay the loan. I agree that loans should be taken if it will be used to something that has guaranteed positive returns such as business. It is best to allocate small percentage of your income into bitcoin investment taking note that these percentage is insignificant that it wont affect  your financial security in terms of needs.

everytime I make an investment - of course after the home work - it hardly has given me any profit.
So I think I should stick to my job - and be a slave for ever rather than investing in my own business and try to be super smart by being my own boss.

I think you just have no patience when it comes to investment. Any investment does not make you rich in seconds. Any profit, no matter how small it is, is still a money you earn. In todays time it is kind of hard to start a business since the competition is getting broader in the market, but I think it takes courage and determination to start it. Everybody starts from something small. Even I want to have my own businesses so that my future financial status would be secured. I could retire early and just enjoy my life and not be stuck with my job and be slave. Well, that's just me.
731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1$ per day crypto investment plan any good ? on: April 09, 2023, 06:06:04 PM
Is 1$ investment in crypto every day enough? I'm making up to 10$ per day and I don't want something that will tie me down financially since I have other things I'm using the money for aka responsibilities so all I can afford is 1$ per day, also is BTC the best option with this 1$ per day?
I think btc is the best option for you it is a long term investment, if you invest 1$ everyday in a total of 5 to  10 years then you can maybe earn depending on the bitcoin price by the time you withdraw it on your wallet, one 1$ is not a big amount so you need to wait for a long time before you can get huge profit.

I agree with this since bitcoin has seen to be the strongest in the crypto market. I think bitcoin will still be at this state for a long time so investing with this is a great move to put the money that you can afford to lose. I think that it is smart move to always consider your financial needs before going into making part of your money to go to investment, always secure your needs before deciding in taking the risk.

It all depends on the volatility here. If you invest $1 a day, the volatility is not too noticeable. And the whole question is when you invest. Maybe this altcoin has already peaked. When investing small amounts, risk management is usually not followed.

Well when it comes to altcoins things can get interesting, because generally an altcoin is very difficult for it to rise in price, generally altcoins depend directly on bitcoin, and unless bitcoin is in an uptrend, it is the best time to buy altcoins, because if the trend continues, what it will do is make the altcoin multiply its value, and 1 dollar can even reach 10, and if by chance you trade, and if it flattens out, then things become more interesting and you can bet more to earn more, but if and only if when you are sure that the trend is bullish.

I had same sentiment since it has been always proven that most of the altcoins follow the trend of bitcoin as if it is the major indicator. If you are considering in broadening your portfolio, you can consider the most competent altcoin in the market such as ETH since these are the crypto that would stay since it show great performance in the market. It actually boils down to having in-depth analysis of each investment so that the risk would be lessen. We all want returns of our investment so just be careful on where to put it and just invest what you can afford to lose.

735  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe racism has come to stay!! ? on: April 04, 2023, 04:07:34 AM
In my opinion, in the state of racism in USA, it will come to stay for years. I think racism is deeply implanted in the roots of americans. They tend to see theirselves to be the superior race. I think this continued to be passed on to the generations since there is nothing done to end it. They continue to do racist acts. The mindset is still there and will still be passed on. It is sad to think that some people have that innate hatred towards a specific group of people. And it is more sad to think that kids today are still acquiring these mindsets.
736  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: April 04, 2023, 12:06:41 AM
At this time our economic situation is not good, and those of us who earn mediocre income, of course, we must rely on side jobs in order to meet our needs, for me whatever I can do and have free time then I will use it as best as possible to be able to get additional income, and the economic crisis we are facing today is indeed very difficult for us to live, All need hard work and patience so that every problem we can face.

This is true since with the continuous increase of inflation and other economic struggles, it is hard to be successful at this time in having business. But this isn't the case all the time since there are some businesses that take opportunity at this time but it is still risky in my opinion. Side jobs or hustles is a great way to improve your financial stability since it would add additional income to you. It is really hard to make ends meet this period but we should just be competent enough to have our jobs and have money to provide our needs and wants.
737  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: April 03, 2023, 12:58:38 PM

Yes, no doubt A.I is the new trend of internet marketing, affiliate marketing and online gambling as it has proven to do works initially meant for humans in the slightest few seconds, more faster and accurate. And as such making many people now lose their jobs, which is quite both good and bad, as with the use of A.I a user don't need to pay for voiceover anymore as we have got an A. I human-like tool that convert text into speech in few seconds, write a full blog post with A.I, generate a YouTube video, analyze a sport betting team and do lots of more others.

But in all this, usage of AI in gambling has proven to be ineffective since gambling games require some player's input that AI may not be able to meet up with, so even though AI has proven to be effective in some areas of operation but it will be a failure in the gambling market and casinos already have an anty bot features that will block AI access to some scripted games to avoid manipulation of the games result.

I agree, aside from that, the knowledge put in an AI is very ineffective on games that is based on chance.  Yes, AI can calculate the percentage of chances but it can never guess 100% the right one because of the randomness of the result.  AI is great on data processing, comparison, historic profiling, etc. but it will never perform greatly in a randomly generated result.  I watch a game where the streamer asked AI of the possible result of a bet and performs very poorly giving the streamer losing predictions.

Indeed, it isn't that easy for the AI to predict the randomness of the results since there are many factors that should be considered. I think it would be hard to make AI think like humans when deciding on games of luck since the physical environment, strategies, and other considerations have different effect on the result. It would probably happen in the future, but for now it isn't that good to depend on these AI since it is still an artificial way of gathered knowledge which is only dependent on the resources that it can accumulate.
738  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 03, 2023, 10:04:13 AM
Wealth and in this case maybe money will run out if it is not managed properly. no matter how much money we actually have, if it is not run properly sooner or later it will shrink and of course one good manager for this apart from investment and business planning is to do so of course saving is something that is certain. it doesn't matter how poor or rich you are i think if people are financially savvy then they will save no matter what.
We already know what the consequences will be and still don't do anything about money management, it's really stupid.

I agree with this since it is true that even though you are wealthy, there are still unexpected events that might happen. It is always important to be ready with those events by making sure that you have wide savings allocations. Emergency fund is one thing since it is really for emergency. Securing your financial status is an achievement and it would really help anyone regardless if you are starting to build your finances or even you are wealthy enough.
739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which of your friends and relatives deals with bitcoin? on: April 03, 2023, 12:38:55 AM
Some of my friends are investors of cryptocurrency but I never wanted to encourage those who are not especially my relatives. Reason? exposing them to risk. Ofcourse they should have the initiative to do so, but what I am worried about is to be blamed afterwards especially if things won't work out as they have expected. The market itself is unpredictable and prices could fall down in an instant.  Given that you are a relative to them, you'd be somehow responsible of their action especially if you're the one who somewhat encouraged them. So everytime some of them are asking I either not encourage them or change the topic for them to seek curiousity for themselves than to be exposed because of my presence.

This is the same reason why I am super hesitant to share or encourage any of my family to deal with cryptocurrency investment. It is a risky investment and they tend to just focus on getting the profit. It is also hard to explain that you should be investing what you can afford to lose. It is also a waiting game for you to get the profit that you want. It is hard to be blamed when you gave advice regarding your assessment in the economy since it is your personal. They should have their own assessment so that the only thing that they could blame is theirselves.
