I take this one:

722  Economy / Services / Re: Reasonable solution to start your own sportsbook on: February 21, 2024, 05:26:44 PM
As a one-man team? Running a successful betting operation is much harder than many people think. It's certainly not something one person should attempt to do as a hobby. You need qualified staff to help you run all parts of the business. A security department to oversee the money and protect the site from outside forces; support personnel to handle client inquiries, a legal department for licenses, regulatory work; developers to help the site and the games run efficiently, and take care of all errors and bugs that will appear, etc.
723  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Setting up Blockstream Jade on: February 21, 2024, 05:00:24 PM
Well the seedsigner is fantastic but I wasn't able to find an RPi Zero (the one without the WiFi adapter).
I see. I take it that you bought it as non assembled and assembled the parts yourself. Otherwise, you could have purchased the assembled unit with the correct Pi Zero v1.3 from BTC Hardware Solutions. The Jade supports Bluetooth, though, while the Seedsigner doesn't.

Technically, a major difference is that the seedsigner doesn't generate entropy. So you must enter your own entropy by flipping coins or throwing dice.
They do have an option to generate entropy from a picture you take with the device's camera. I can't comment on the technical part of it, though or how secure such seeds are. I hope the Jade has been put under severe tests to verify that the generated entropy from the device is strong enough. It's not exactly the most popular HW (which is also true for the Seedsigner) and surely doesn't generate as much interest as the major brands.

You forgot to mention the battery. How do you like its performance?
724  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Suite now supports coin control on: February 21, 2024, 04:42:51 PM
Activity tab was not working correctly for me in new version, and it didn't show any transaction notifications like before, but maybe they fixed that in v24.2.2.
That's why I always like to wait with new updates unless it's something major that fixes serious vulnerabilities. And that's not the case with the new Trezor Suite whose biggest change is in the UI. Bugs and errors are expected.

Address poisoning attack prevention was also introduced for improved security.
Not sure how they want to battle that. You can't prevent someone to send crypto to an address, and when they do, that transaction will be displayed in the transaction history. Perhaps there will be an on switch to hide zero value transactions and possibly fraudulent ones or display a warning of a possible poisoning scam if a similar address is noticed or if the second transaction occurred seconds after your own legitimate transaction. Poisoning scams usually appear seconds after you make or receive a normal transaction.
725  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Setting up Blockstream Jade on: February 21, 2024, 04:29:26 PM
<Snip>
It seems like an interesting device, especially for its airgapped nature and affordable price. I might consider buying one. How long have you had it, and how satisfied are you with the battery performance? Since you mentioned Seedsigner, what made you buy the Jade and not the Seedsigner, for example? They are quite similar in several ways. The SeedQR is an invention by the developers of Seedsigner, unless I am mistaken.

Have you discovered any major cons or do you regret buying the Jade?
726  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: February 21, 2024, 04:23:43 PM
What intrigues me about this, is that XMR performance is very poor compared to other cryptocurrency. It used to top in top 10 coins (in marketcap) just 5 years ago, and it is nearly 50th now (46th in time of writing). This means losing much of its valuale compared to BTC.

Something is not right. XMR price is not showing this scarcity. Maybe XMR price will be adjusted in the future?
Monero has been battered lately after Binance announced that it would soon delist it from their platform. That caused a big downward trend for the value of the coin. Binance is just the latest big exchange that has turned its back on Monero, many others before it did. Privacy coins are constantly under attack by regulators and governments that see them as a bigger threat than stablecoins. Whatever bitcoin is going through, in terms of being called a haven for scammers and thieves, monero is subjected to double of that. All of that has affected the price and overall interest for the coin.
727  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: February 20, 2024, 05:17:42 PM
Nope the reserves of XMR are accurate, but indeed XMR is often empty. But it is for sure not a secret and well displayed.
Every time I visited the exchange website in the last couple of days, XMR was always at 0. But you are right. It was showing a little bit above 121 when I saw your quote. A few minutes later and it's back to 0 again. There is great demand for no-KYC monero.
728  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Coldcar on: February 20, 2024, 05:04:37 PM
The only thing that I could imagine that would be very bad is if some newer wallet versions would not recognize the transactions from the older ColdCards, because maybe some kind of format change. But that does not seem to be the case in any near future.
Yeah, I don't see that happening, and even if it does, you can always use an older version of the same software where those changes were not made.

Coldcards, like most other hardware wallets, have a maximum size limit for signed transactions. I wasn't sure how big these were, so I had to look it up quickly. For the Mk3 model, the maximum size is 384k-bytes. Also, the transaction can have 20 inputs and up to 250 outputs. The Mk4 offers much more: 2M bytes in size and many more inputs and outputs. The source says they successfully tested signing a transaction of 250 inputs and 2000 outputs.

729  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Setting up Blockstream Jade on: February 20, 2024, 04:53:01 PM
I would rather use the SeedQR method instead of QR PIN unlock if I had a Blockstream Jade. It's quicker to gain access to your hardware wallet by just scanning a QR seed code then scanning multiple QR codes both on the hardware device and a secondary device. It's true though that you need some time to set up your SeedQR, but it's worth it.
730  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: February 20, 2024, 04:35:46 PM
I have a question about the reserves you display on your website. My apologies if it was already asked, but this thread has 16 pages, so it's quite time-consuming going through each one looking for the exact thing I want to ask. I have noticed that you always display your XRM reserves as 0, but in the 24h trading volume, we can see how much Monero was exchanged. Is the total Monero reserve a secret or can't the site display it for some other reason?
731  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Staking kriptovaluta on: February 20, 2024, 04:28:05 PM

732  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: trezor + metamask on: February 19, 2024, 05:33:11 PM
I take this opportunity to ask: tu upgrade firmware on my trezor, i need to insert again all the Seed Phrase?
No, you don't. Not unless you have reset your device to factory settings, which wiped the seed phrase from it. If it still works and the seed is in it, then open Trezor Suite on your device, go to the settings menu, and start the upgrade process. Read Update Trezor device firmware for more information.
733  Economy / Reputation / Re: Standing Strong Against Unjust Attacks: A Call for Community Support on: February 19, 2024, 05:29:49 PM
You haven't scammed JackpotRacer regardless of how many times he says it. He first needs to figure out what he wants and that's not happening. It seems that he wants to be back testing/playing blackjack on Blackjack.Fun and I don't think that's going to happen either. Perhaps it will after he conducts KYC, which he doesn't want to do.

In light of these challenges, we've temporarily stepped back from the Bitcointalk forum to address the situation. Once this matter is resolved, we plan to return with a significant signature campaign, open an ANN thread, and continue our engagement with the community.
No need to create a new ANN thread. You already have one. Reopen it and continue with your work. Other players might have valid questions or posts that they want to write there, but now they can't. Negative comments are unfortunately part of the game.

holydarkness has covered most of the questions I wanted to ask and that I asked in the scam accusation thread that JackpotRacer opened.
The issue with the wrong license has been solved, but do you want to comment on why the wrong one was there for so long?
The second issue is the Provably Fair logo. Are your games provably fair and can you prove it?

A few questions and comments on the bugs that JackpotRacer found.
What can you tell us about the timer reset bug? Are you working on it, has it been fixed, do you not want to fix it?
JackpotRacer does not have a case, but he did find several bugs. You fixed some, but the timer reset seems to be a major one that directly influences the outcome of a round. If that is true, you shouldn't be hosting real-money games until that is fixed.
734  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ SCAM ALERT ] Blackjack.Fun is a cheap Scammer on: February 19, 2024, 05:04:20 PM
I am bringing to both of your attention that they've replace the license with an African license.
OK, thanks for the mention which made me aware of this. Last time I checked, they still had a link to the Curacao logo, but I also see the one for The State of Anjouan now. I have never heard of it either, but that's a different topic of discussion. What's important is that the correct one is now displayed. My only question remains if they should have the Provably Fair logo or not.

I am currently inquiring about PF on that recent thread they're having.
Going there now.
735  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: trezor + metamask on: February 19, 2024, 04:55:32 PM
In this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67hkAEcEH1o) i see that it's very important not to do "import wallet" but instead "create new wallet".
I don't remember what i did in the past, but, right now, what i should do?
No, you shouldn't import your wallet because that includes entering your Trezor seed into a web wallet. The seed and everything it holds would then be much less secure, and you essentially turn it into a seed from an online web wallet. Don't do that. Creating a new wallet and connecting the Trezor with Metamask is what you want to do. In that case, your private keys remain on the Trezor and you will be using Metamask as the software interface instead of Trezor Suite.

Right now, in my trezor suite i see my eth, but not my tokens...
I use the Bitcoin-only firmware with my Trezor, so I can only speculate why that is. Perhaps you need to add every single token in the settings of your Trezor Suite. Or it could be that Trezor Suite doesn't support those particular assets. Take a look at https://trezor.io/coins and see if your tokens are supported there in Trezor Suite. If they aren't, you will not be able to see them. But that's why you have Metamask, to interact with your tokens through that software. Also, you can always check everything you need to know about your address on Etherscan.

Firstly meta mask is not a safe wallet will advice you to kindly sweep your funds from both of them.
Both? What's the second one? OP's coins/tokens are on the Trezor, not on Metamask. Metamask only has his public keys if he established a connection to it with his Trezor. No transaction from the hardware wallet can take place without a physical confirmation on the Trezor.
736  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Coldcar on: February 19, 2024, 04:37:02 PM
As far as I understand all the Coldcards form MK1-MK4 can still be used safely as of now or is that not correct?
I don't know about the first two models. But I think they should all work. Coldcards are airgapped offline signing devices. They create partially signed bitcoin transactions that you import to micro SD cards and broadcast on an online machine. As long as each Mk model can do that, they essentially work. I believe DaveF was complaining about Coinkite dropping support for the older models and not adding new features to it. But their main (signing) purpose can't and shouldn't simply stop working all of a sudden.
737  Economy / Reputation / Re: A clear change in airfinex's posting pattern. on: February 19, 2024, 04:29:23 PM
Hahaha. This is dust in the eyes. Do you really believe in the phrases (our professional team) (I’ll consult with a lawyer)?

He simply realized that he would not be able to use this money to its fullest without consequences, but he would return the money to the participants of the subscription campaign and no one would tell him anything for the 10 thousand dollars that he would keep for himself

I'm closing the thread because the original public question is no longer relevant as users are about to get their money back, although how will they be able to verify the authenticity of the amounts received? But I will have more questions if he refuses to pay someone, saying that the seven-day period has passed when you should have been contacted.
I am not sure what it is that you want to achieve here or why you locked your thread and than quoted my post from there in this discussion. Unless, I am mistaken, I don't think anyone appointed you as our representative on Bitcointalk. When I say 'our', I mean of the members who participated in the Sinbad signature campaign. We are very capable of defending ourselves if there are problems that we believe should be handled or brought to the community's attention.

Tu su još GitHub i Reddit ali nisam uspio ni tamo naći utiske korisnika.
739  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Tangem Ring HW - The Lord of the Rings? on: February 18, 2024, 01:23:53 PM
What I can't stand are these partnerships HW wallet manufacturers enter into (Ledger went way overboard with that), and even some software wallets like Trust have done it as well.
I don't like it either, but I understand why they do it from a business perspective. Why have the users move the funds they want to exchange from the hardware wallet and into a third-party exchange if we can create the same type of service and have them do it on our terms? Plus, we earn a small commission from it. I also don't buy the marketing hype of how it's cheaper than doing the swap directly through the 3rd-party exchange.
740  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 will not pay anyone for the last week /Sinbad campaign/ on: February 18, 2024, 01:11:18 PM

It's usually bad news that travels fast, but this time it was good news that travelled fast. My guess is that Royce consulted a legal expert and needed some time to figure out whether and how he can move those coins. Even after all these months, it's only the escrow address from Sinbad that is still on the official OFAC sanctions list. Incredible work done by the government agencies with great attention to detail. Roll Eyes
