You really think that DDos pools and forking coins is legal behavior? Boy are you guys in for some big surprises. Just beecause you have been in Crypto for over a year don't mean shit. This a straight up joke right you people can't be as retarded and facist as you sound. You must want crypto dead right your bankers or some shit. This will only hurt crypto you can't really be so stupid to not realize that. Hacking coins, DDos Pools, these words get into the media and it's going to be curtains for crypto. So fucking retarded.

Great choice of words there clown.

The first person to fork ADT and / or make zackclark70 pay 10BTC to save his coin then kill it anyway will get 10btc from us !

The coin is total crap we have killed it time and time again but people go against our advice and fix it for him.

After its been destroyed this time anyone that helps revive it will have there coins destroyed as well if they don't have a coin we will destroy coins that they hold !

This is a warning to the rest of the crypto comunaty that we wont tolerate scam coins !

To the users of ADT please pm me and I will hand over the full dox of zackclark70 and his immediate family so you can track him down and get your money back

currently he is dumping coins that belong to the comunaty on cryptsy ! we estimate that he has sold over 1000LTC worth making the minimum total scammed 16,000USD!

we advise you to post on the ADT thread that the coin is going to be killed soon and to request that it be removed from cryptsy

we are sure zackclark70 will be here defending his scam soon

we will also be killing all the other coins that zackclark70 has made and warning everyone about all of is alt accounts !

here is a few of his coins to get you started!

ADT 1
ADT 2
IFC
nyan
Took over NAN
PYC
SXC

There are many more on the list once we have totally obliterated all of his coins we will be publicly handing out his contact info so people can blame him for the money they lost !

Before I go just a reminder WE are always watching !

The only thing I can say to that complete rubbish is LMFAO

hey man, how is NAN doing? you know, since you apparently took it over and all....
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 22, 2014, 07:49:38 AM
are you sure zackclark70 is dumping ADT? how can you prove it? also, zackclark70 has absolutely nothing to do with NAN, so you've already discredited yourself once...
724  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Let's talk about BTC.SX and MT.GOX on: March 22, 2014, 07:45:17 AM
The basic question with any derivative is, "who's the counterparty". A derivative is a promise to pay something under some condition at a future time. Who stands behind that promise? BTC.sx tries to squirm out of responsibility with their "terms", which look like they're copied from some ordinary web site, not a financial service.

This is a big, big problem. A "Bitcoin exchange" is essentially a cash business - they match orders and execute them. There's no inherent financial risk to the exchange.  (Despite this, over half of Bitcoin exchanges have managed to fuck up and collapse.) BTC.sx, on the other hand, is itself the counterparty. They can lose big if they guess wrong or there's a sudden change in the price. (This is how a lot of big banks lost money in 2008.) But BTC.sx only has $150K of their own funds, less whatever it took them to get the thing going. That's not enough financial strength for what they're doing.

ICBIT also offered Bitcoin futures, but they were just running an exchange in them. They weren't a party to the transaction, and reserved the right to close out a futures contract if the other party didn't have enough in their account to pay up.  (But you don't know up front, with ICBIT, how much money the other party has in their account. So any big win is likely to not be paid off.)

That's the problem. Derivatives require financially strong counterparties who can be relied on to pay up when they lose, and systems to make them pay up. BTC.sx and ICBIT lack both.

pretty accurate view of the situation, and ultimately why i never even registered with either service. the inherent risks involved were to great.

Piece of crap bunch of fraudlent children. Who calls it "trading platform"? I wish I could sue them.
Who ignore their users like that? They are like 5 years old. Making straight-up daylight thieves.

Why only 16 characters for the password, and why it says invalid password when i try to create account??? Do you not support special characters?? Personally i despise any service that places restrictions to my passwords. I hope you do not ask to reset it once a month  Undecided

Reset no, 2FA optional, secure password yes! Sorry security for all users whether they like it or not since it helps protect everyone.

i guess he was griping about the 16 charachter limit on passwords. probably enough entropy though if you're using bcrypt and strong salts. i tend to agree that 16 charachters is a rather sheisty limit. my cryptsy password and email passwords both exceed the limit.  not an insult, your exchange is pretty decent(you claim its the most secure). don't ignore the users though. increase that weak password limit.

Everyone should be using 2FA. Given that.

It's a waste of time using over a 16 character password.  No one in the real world bothers with that crap.  All it does is force regular people to write passwords down or store it in a file on their computer.

maybe if you have problem remembering strings longer than 16 charachters.

730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 21, 2014, 03:31:44 PM
My guess is that there is a lot of small miners willing to give up a few days of mining to join a pool looking to destroy coins.

The beauty with this project is that you only have to take out a few coins, the rest will crumble in fear. No one will hold coins that might become useless overnight. When the fear sets in coins will be dumped, buy orders will vanish, prices will crash and hashpower move to the established coins leaving the shitcoins weak and dieing.

So what you are saying is that terrorism is a key component to this plan?

i guess the guy is too young to realise threatening people and damaging their property because they don't like it is a criminal offence.

holdings in cryptocurrency may not fit the definition of "property"

What do you think a jury will say when they hear that one guy paid money for some stuff and then some other guy destroyed it?

I see most of the shitcoins mentioned here as simply scams dominated by insider trading which is likewise illegal in the fiat world. But those rules went out the window. this is free game. Just like how the exchanges get bribed by the scammers, and MK walked away with everyones coins, time to fire back. This is the wild west. Good for the goose...

Hey man, its only illegal when it fits their argument. when it fits a counterargument, its totally different...

And if cryptocurrency is to reach mass adoption and have real world use they have to be secure. If coins can be destroyed as easy as some claim they, then they shouldn't exist at all. And to put money in them is just stupid. I honestly belive this is great for crypto currency as a whole. The strongest will survive and prosper.

i agree. it could breed an even better currency in the long run, by picking up where PPC left off with its checkpoint server. If a decentralized checkpointing method were invented, that would be huge imo.

shit coins are dead already ...... look at the ann section moving very slowly now.

New releases - nobody bothers with them much, they are way less of an event than 2 weeks ago

This wave is almost over. When btc hits 5000 dollars there will be another wave.

it won't hit 5.

looks like some trolls trying really hard to discredit me.

If you made both of those post in which one claim coins were stolen and the other denies it, then which ever one you own up to, the other proves you to be a liar.  How is that being a troll? Sounds like solid and legitimate question to me.

First of all, I'm sorry for the attitude i have been giving people. this is a very stressful people for everyone involved with OpenEx, customers included. We are working on sorting out exactly how much coin left the exchange which was not supposed to. This is where the confusion lies. We are not going anywhere, and we fully plan on paying all customers which have been wronged. Once again, i apologize for this entire mess. It appears that less coin than originally we thought has been stolen, but there has been coin stolen. It just wasn't as cut and dry as a straight up server break in or RPC vulnerability.

We will post an update on 3/27/14.

I don't like the new dgc logo. it looks amateur. The old black and white one was the most legit logo ever. i was always jealous of how cool DGC's logo was. just my thoughts.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digitalcoin Dev ROBBED! on: March 21, 2014, 04:39:32 AM
You make no sense. Even if he had sold a bunch of his own coins that he supposedly stole from himself, he had any right to do so at any given time. It would be disappointing because he would really have to be a total idiot as he could have sold them AT ANY FUCKING TIME over the past year when they were worth much much more than over the past two weeks. Extremely weak motive, esp as he is working as hard as ever to improve DGC at the moment.

BCX is flat out trolling you. he posts outrageous claims constantly without any proof. you have two options: sue him for harassment/slander or simply hit the ignore button.

ETA on paysha bud?  i'm genuinely intrigued to see what kind of service you offer.

Hopefully soon. All the legal shit is out of the way already though. We've got a private demo right now that is almost done. Once that is up we just have to test and test and test before we open it up for beta. We are already behind our schedule by a few weeks so we decided to just over test and find any holes since we are already late

that's good, better safe than sorry.
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx to be shut down[Hacked] on: March 21, 2014, 02:59:43 AM
Here's what really bugs me.  r3wt said that whoever stole the btc basically just added 0's to the txid's, allowing for multiple withdrawals.  His system apparently strips the zeros.

Why did it not check for duplicate txid's AFTER the 0's were stripped?  This wouldn't take much.

Also, the withdrawal portion is missing from the pastbin r3wt has provided.

Here is a link http://pastebin.com/vzZN6eQu

Looks like an inside job to me.

justin gillet wrote that particular part. why don't you ask him.

here's the code in question:

Code:
if(isset($_POST["fchk"])) {
if(isUserAdmin($id00)) {
if($_POST["Transaction_Id"] != NULL && $_POST["Coin"] != NULL) {
$tid = mysql_real_escape_string(trim($_POST["Transaction_Id"]));
$coin = mysql_real_escape_string(trim($_POST["Coin"]));
$sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM Wallets WHERE `Acronymn`='$coin'");
$id = @mysql_result($sql,0,"Id");

$sql2 = @mysql_query("SELECT * FROM deposits WHERE `Transaction_Id`='$tid' AND `Coin`='$coin'");
$id2 = @mysql_result($sql2,0,"id");
$paid = @mysql_result($sql2,0,"Paid");
$wallet = new Wallet($id);
$trans = @$wallet->gettransaction($tid);
echo '<pre>';
print_r($trans);
echo '</pre>';
if($trans != null) {
if(is_array($trans)) {
if(in_array("Invalid or non-wallet transaction id", $trans,true)) {

echo "non wallet transaction id or invalid tx";
}else{
$account = $trans["details"][0]["account"];
$category = $trans["details"][0]["category"];
$confirms = $trans["confirmations"];
$amount = $trans["amount"];
if($id2 != NULL) {
if($paid == 0) {
if($category == "receive" && $confirms > 3 && $account != "")
{
mysql_query("UPDATE deposits SET `Paid`='1' WHERE `id`='$id2'");
AddMoney($amount, $account, $coin);
echo $amount." ".$coin." was credited to your account";
}
}else{
echo $amount." ".$coin." was already credited to the account.";
}
}else{
if($category == "receive" && $account != "") {
if($confirms > 5) {
mysql_query("INSERT INTO  deposits (`Transaction_Id`,`Amount`,`Coin`,`Paid`,`Account`) VALUES ('$tid','$amount','$coin','1','$account');");
AddMoney($amount, $account, $coin);
echo $amount." ".$coin." was successfully credited to the account";
}else{
mysql_query("INSERT INTO  deposits (`Transaction_Id`,`Amount`,`Coin`,`Paid`,`Account`) VALUES ('$tid','$amount','$coin','0','$account');");
echo "This Deposit is unconfirmed. Current confirmations:" . $confirms .". Required : 6.";
}
}else{
echo "transaction is not a deposit or account is invalid.";
}
}
}
}else{
echo "Contact the admin. Error Code: 35-1a";
/* ERROR CODE INFORMATION

Error Code 35-la
the result wasn't an array. so its probably invalid. inform customer to disregard.
*/
}
}
}
}
}
}

Any idea why it wouldn't strip the zeros(since they are obviously in the database?)
