Here are a few lessons I learned from crypto market in 2018:
- be more selective when choosing to invest in ICOs - don't take for granted people's advices: nobody can predict tomorrow's price as market is too volatile - most important: never, but never invest more than you can afford to lose.

If by stocks you understand the total amount of Btc in circulation then yes, the less btc in circulation, the better the price is.
If you are referring to stocks market (Google, IMB etc) then of course not, as they are completely different and independent markets.

If you are in cryto for long-term it's a good idea as cryto is technology and technology developped constantly the last 20 years.
Cyrpto is an investment for the future of currency so buying today at $1,000 or $10,000 should have little affect if you think it'll be at $100,000 in the next 10-20 years.

Guys, financial & crypto experts, do you just watch the BTC/alts price because you were promised to get rich overnight? Where is ya fecking brain?
All these commentators cannot read a chart but throw up their useless opinions into the oblivion like no tomorrow. Did anyone ever check another chart in 'serious' assets like the SP500 and sees what is happening across the markets? Crypto is just no other and also not a safe haven asset. It is a general market cycle we are in, and people with more than two brain cells, will try everything to figure out good entry points, all over the boards, building a cheap catalog of diversified assets, not only moon lambo hodl crypto, but with crypto as a vital part.

I think that during long bearish periods cryto market splits men from children. During bullish periods is much easier, everyone is an expert, you can invest in every single sh*t coin (ex: Dogecoin) and still have a nice profit.
When market is red things get nore complicated, you need nore knowledge, patience, some trading abilities if you want to survive.

I think Ethereum will rise because Ethereum is already popular and good for ICO. I'm sure that if we have patience enough we'll see in the future important price improvements for Ethereum.
A lot of other cryptocurrencies are more risky but more likely for a fast grow up of rate when market will recover.

On long-term (3-5 years) nobody knows what will happen. You cannot know fir sure that hold-ers will win or lose imo.
I'm keeping a small amount of bitcoin on the off chance that it does go up. And I do have a little faith in it seeing as it still seems like a great concept. However, looking at the facts without any emotion involved, it does look like a pretty bad situation - very little positive activity with bitcoin now and has been that way for quite some time.

Eth lower than 100$ is a good price to step in and buy some more Eth. It's possible to see Eth even lower, but as nobody knows when/where the bottom is, we might not see it at such low level next year.
When cryto market will recover and price will go up, Eth will be one of the altcoins with the most important increase. That will be the moment when it's good to have some Eth bought cheap in late 2018.
Ethereum has a lot of changes to increase in the future, as it's still a very good coin, with a real utility but unfortunately in a long bearish market. The question is when will it recover. As if it continue to decrease, it might reach 20-30 $ in a few months and from there it might take years to see again prices similars with what we saw in 2017. However, when altcoins will start to recover, Eth will be on top of them.

You lose only when/if you don't have patience and sell your holdings very cheap.
Instead of being frustrated due to the long dip, if you still believe in cryto you can buy some more at a very low price.
Most of the people stating that Bitcoin will be worthless don't really believe that but they like to spread fud to try to buy Bitcoin as cheap as possible.
Others are just very frustrated they bought at ATH and they invested more than they could afford to lose.
Cryto changed a lot. We won't see coins raising 1000x overnight. People still remaining with cryto need to be more patient, as market is more mature now and price evolutions will be more linear.

It depends on what your strategy is:
- if you plan to remain involved into cryto for long-term, then during this bearish market you can continue to hold and eventually buy more cheap btc - if you plan to exit, you can accept the loss and liquidate your Btc as price will not recover very soon.
On long-term I'm confident that market will come back on a bullish pattern.

Why you guys keep saying "personally i think it's a dip". Technically speaking since February it's a bear trend and there is not a single reason to see it differently. It will only change when new hype cycle will start like last ICO one but it must be a reason not just some minor news about eft delay etc.
If Bitcoin "destroyed" you it is all your fault, no offense. This means you didn't respect the most important rule in cryto: you invested more than you can afford to lose.
I invested a lot in cryto, too. But that's not a tragedy if I lock these money into cryto for a longer time until the market will recover.
I think the better option for you is to keep patience and don't panic sell as your loss will be higher. And next time don't ever invest more than you can afford to risk.
I would recommend you to invest rather in Bitcoin, Ethereum or any other known coin that proved already over the time that they keep developing and survive during long bearish periods.
Most of the altcoins without any added value will go back to near zero and they might never recover.

No matter if a project/altcoin is the greatest, without marketing it doesn't exist, as people don't know about it. This is why if very hard for an altcoin to become as popular as Bitcoin, as it has 10 years of being the "King of crypto" and specially in a long bearish market this is hard to be changed.

I plan to invest in Mycro project. It has a great team and community behind and a huge potential to be one of the best projects in 2019 (see details in my signature).
Don't forget that on short-term cryto market is still bearish, but for middle-long term it is bullish as new good projects will come on the market.
"Buy the dip" sounds like a good strategy in theory. The problem is that nobody knows when is the lowest dip The best strategy is to put yourself a dip price target and if you are below it you might consider you buy the dip. What's extremely important is to always follow the market's trend, as it changes very often.
Sorry to tell you that, but you started investing in cryto with the wrong step. Main rule in crypto is: NEVER INVEST MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE.
You should have invested progressively and monitor the market trend to come with new investments. Anyway, if you are patient, price will recover in the future, but not very soon.
If you invest now in cryto, this should be a long term investment, otherwise there might be a lot of panic sell feeling and frustration as market is very volatile.
Days from 2017 when you might have earned a lot overnight are gone and don't come back anytime soon.
