721  Economy / Economics / Re: Untouchable Savings: Do you have it? on: February 09, 2023, 05:46:38 PM
That is very nice story and I am also impressed by the tweet of yours. It just made me think lot of stuff that I do on everyday basis and can help me reduce my expenses or at the same time help me gain more exposure on spending on right stuff. This is really important to understand because we always get carried away with unwanted expenses and regret it later. The emergency fund is really important and we never know what circumstances our lives would put in front of us. Better save some money in the name of emergency and spend most of it but only on logical things and routines.
722  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Since 2013 | Longest Running Crypto Casino | 113 BTC Jackpot! on: February 09, 2023, 05:15:42 PM
The race for wagering is dope man. How crazy fans are here from prime dice base? Look at the wagering amounts they have got. This is cool race but I am first time on the thread of prime dice. So is it hosted in the games and rounds section of forum or is it just hosted on the website itself and you are just announcing the updates here ?

It’s good to know that primedice has been around the internet since 2013 which makes it the oldest and elite one in my list at least. I am very active on few of the casinos here but never thought about older guys here. Must be killing it in business!! Keep it up guys.
723  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is risky, be conscious on: February 09, 2023, 04:35:27 PM
It’s big well of money where you never find the solid bottom and never leave out of your desires if not controlled in time. That repeating feeling of “I can get more”, “I can overcome my loses”, “just the last trade”, and so on; all of those feeing and actions can be dangerous in the long run and everyone goes through this. Many traders keep stating they are strong mind but somehow everyone goes through above mentioned actions and thoughts. Everyone knows it but none of them openly state it. Better stay away if someone is not able to control such actions. Otherwise it’s horrible unrecoverable money.
724  Economy / Economics / Re: The fear of global recession is real or just a speculation? on: February 09, 2023, 03:44:07 PM
There are already foundations, NGO’s, groups and much more which are formed across the globe however we are failing to achieve the desired results. I think there are as much as worlds leading community’s doing there best to resist the climate change.

UN Environment Programme
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPPC)
the Green Climate Fund(GCF)
Climate Investment Funds

And much more to count on. The list is big and growing all the time as we seek real organisations to fight this through for the sake of humanity.

I am not sure how much successful it is or will be but we do have plans for all. It’s just that we have made it worst in this world and god knows how far we gonna get.
725  Economy / Economics / Re: A steady source of income is a man's bottom line to support his family on: February 09, 2023, 03:08:02 PM
I would vote plus one to the multiple income sources because that is the bottom need of today’s lifestyle. Our employers are giving x salaries based on let’s say skills, minimum wager criteria and also the industry we work in. The problem is we are not able tackle the inflation with that money. Apart from the inflation, we are not even able to fulfil the daily needs properly since stuff is getting way way costly in day to days life. I’m sure to overcome this we need or have only multiple income solution and nothing else. Hope so we keep up with the pace of modern era. Smiley
726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If You Could Start Over, How Would you Learn Day Trading on: February 08, 2023, 06:11:21 PM
Instead of finding mentor one can go for professional tuitions that are made into various courses or modules. They will guide you step by step from investing into the crypto space and how to trade them. One of the friend from circle did same thing and he is gaining nice exposure on his own these days and already got what he invested on his tuition fees. I can vouch that, if you are going to learn from tuitions then that's really going to help you in the long run without doubts. Many of them actually making it career. Rather than going into lets say science backgrounds they would choose the trading as option and invest more energy learning and practicing them. Obviously when we start, we should always start with the practice account only.
727  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can golden cross on S & P chart trigger buying in Bitcoin? on: February 08, 2023, 05:31:55 PM
Yes it would impact cryptos because we are risk on like stocks. However the question is whether this cross will actually work out. In the past whenever we got these MA crosses it sometimes worked and sometimes was a nice trap. So pretty much works 50% of the time. And at that point you pretty much can just use another indicator.

It has lot of impact on the crypto actually. One of the article that I was reading earlier this morning suggest same thing. Big investors actually look for the signs of investment into crypto from S&P 500 moves, how they are earning in the current timeline and whether there is any chance if they are having their investments into the crypto market as well.

One fine article does suggest big investors actually look for FED chairs speeches all the time to see in what direction an economy is moving and how it could indirectly affect the crypto market.

I am positive that you technical analysis data could be related with the increased in bitcoin purchase activity or at least it will spark one day.
728  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 08, 2023, 03:39:42 PM
I believe we have to rely on our luck, hoping the most unexpectable of the outcomes happen for real, instead of focusing in accumulating many golden tickets, because it's simply not possible to compete against the whales. Last winner had 4870 GTs, what requires a lot of gambling activity and/or money invested for that purpose. I suppose most of us can't reach that number of tickets to stay highly competitive on the biannual draw.

My guess is that the previous winner wagered at least 24 BTC to get 4870 gold tickets. That's really too much, and I think a lot of users aren't ready to take that risk. Moreover, we have seen many times before that a user with a few lottery tickets has won the top prize in the weekly lottery. So I have no doubt that one day we will also see the lucky one who will win the Lambo with just a few golden tickets.

Jeez man, that’s lot of money to trade for lambo. Though players are really smart these days. They would just wager same amount of money again and again with smart plays and with the free bitcoins bonus. Imagine a person gambling 10 btc, he would be eligible for equivalent amount of bonus bitcoin and thus try to gamble their way up with huge amounts. Though I’m saying this casually, there exists people who see 10 btc as nothing but fun Money.

Anyways, I have concluded for myself that GT is game of riches and not someone like me whose hands would shake even after wagering 100 dollars safely. Lolz.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Few gimmicks about AI tokens & why they are getting strong economically . . on: February 08, 2023, 02:37:08 PM
Crypto is full of surprises and we have seen how trend keep shifting from one stuff to another, sometimes back to the first one and sometimes it's just bitcoin getting stronger. For example, we have seen how there was era of ICO, then NFT's, and now it's about the AI-based Tokens which are actually putting the Bitcoin's economic strength far behind than what it used to be.

However, there is catch to that statement. Personally I don't think that is really true and can last for very long. It's just that another trend moving here and there all the time.

But there are some who believe in it and there are few reasons. AI-based tokens are getting popular because people find it attractive to invest in the new and cutting edge technology. In addition to this launch of ChatGPT has given mixed push to entire AI based economy because many of them are relating it as next GEN future.

The drag is all about gut feeling, FOMO's, new trends, first invest kinda stuff & etc.

Quote
Crypto markets are known to be fueled by narratives, and artificial intelligence (AI) is the latest trend.
Prominent traders on Crypto Twitter are heralding AI-based tokens as the sector that might lead the next bull market cycle. They may be right so far: Such tokens are up an average of 80% in the past week alone, CryptoSlate data shows.
Among the biggest gainers have been tokens such as Artificial Liquid Intelligence (ALI), Fetch AI (FET) and Singularity Net (AGIX), which have surged as much as 220%, as CoinDesk previously reported.
The tokens of AI-based upstarts like Image Generation AI (IMGNAI) have more than tripled over a two-week period. The protocol allows users to generate artwork using text disruptions on social platforms such as Discord.

One-time popular tokens from 2018 and 2021, such as Big Data Protocol (BDP) and Measurable Data (MDT), seem to have jumped on the hype with tweets that seem to remind investors of how they utilize AI technology within their blockchain applications.
BDP has surged 2,100% in the past week, CoinGecko data shows, while MDT has jumped 150%. Both protocols use their tokens to commoditize data, allowing providers and buyers to exchange data securely and anonymously.
Crypto majors such as bitcoin and ether have paled in comparison, rising just 30% each in the past month despite fundamental catalysts. However, the market capitalization of major tokens is upward of $300 billion, meaning they require significant amounts of investment and public interest for prices to surge multifold within a few weeks.

Why are AI tokens surging?
AI broadly refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines programmed to think and act like humans. Popular applications for this technology have so far been limited to chatbots, self-driving cars, optimizing search in online marketplaces, and image-generation software – but futuristic usecases envision wholly-autonomous cities, cyborg humankind and interstellar travel.
Much of the recent surge in AI tokens emerged after the public launch of chatbot ChatGPT and image generation software Dall E in mid-2022. Both are traditional software that do not use cryptocurrencies or blockchain and were launched by OpenAI, which recently raised $10 billion from Microsoft at a $29 billion valuation.

Such institutional interest has helped create a compelling argument for crypto traders to bet on AI-focused tokens as the next growth sector.
"The growth opportunity around the AI and Web3 space combines early interest, potential and hype,” states Ravindra Kumar, founder of crypto wallet Frontier. “While it's true that there may be some hype surrounding AI intervention in the crypto space, we are seeing the emergence of innovative and compelling use cases.’

Aditya Khanduri, head of marketing at Biconomy, takes a milder approach: “I believe that the current AI trend is still pretty speculative, leading to a jump for tokens like OCEAN, ALI, AGIX. Some of the tokens with more buzz and followings have pumped and it's less about the actual tech behind it.”
“This is because the current AI tokens and web3 projects may not yet know what these decentralized AI tools look like. There's a lot of unanswered challenges and lots to be figured out,” Khanduri told CoinDesk in a recent chat.

The likes of Khanduri say token-based usage while scaling AI software is a hard problem to solve.
“Say an AI tool gets to 250 million users. Then what will its infra look like? How will people use it? How will the data be trained? Where does the token fit in? Can you even have a way to reward people for their data if you used it to train your models?” he said.
Meanwhile, some market watchers remain cautious about the AI token hype.
“Once the market starts livening up a bit, all sorts of new trends come out of the woodwork. And they are not all as solid as they might look,” financial market consultant Valentina Drofa told CoinDesk.

“There is a risk that this whole ‘new trend’ is going to end up in an empty hype, as there are many speculators that would seek to make use of short-term price pumps,” Drofa added, referring to the recent multifold gains put up by some tokens.
“The industry at large will end up dealing with the long-term fallout and another hit to its image. Such cycles are becoming rather tiresome and sad to observe again and again,” she stated.

At the the article just states that how it is temporary hype associated with the AI, how they are making everyone invest by luring into the future that may not exist or only exists in the parallel universe!

What is your story? Do you believe that AI-based tokens are worth it or is it too early to adopt them?
730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do small e-commerce businesses are scared of accepting crypto payments? on: February 08, 2023, 01:51:14 PM
Till date bitcoin payment remains as a choice and it should be kept that way since that is the whole point of it. Bitcoin isn’t forced asset into the system. Those who understand the bitcoins true power has already started accepting it and those who are deep inside the crypto sphere has already made grand acceptance of the same.

I think it’s not about who is big or small, it’s all about who makes best use of the crypto currency for their own benefit in the long run.

Also, e-commerce businesses can simply accept fiat to keep the accounting easier and profits at highest.
731  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon reports its first unprofitable year since 2014 on: February 07, 2023, 07:15:47 PM
Why not, they are expanding the physical warehouses everywhere in the need of increasing the prime services and also cut down the delivery times as if you can press order and the delivery guy would be standing next to you. They are slowly forgetting that they are e-commerce businesses and not something retail OTC with store nearby every customer they are fulfilling the needs. Due to this they are heavily investing the money. Once the contracts are made they can not be altered with the physical locations until it ends or they are penalized for the same. This is why they are now destroying the jobs of corporates and showing the loses in turn to it. It's entirely wrong and they should not be changing their actual business nature to stay in the competition.
732  Economy / Gambling / Re: WINZ.IO 🚀 WELCOME BONUS: 300 FREE SPINS 🎁 $45K CANDYLAND QUEST 🍭🍭🍭 on: February 07, 2023, 06:55:36 PM
Make a deposit with the bonus code TUESDAY till 09.02.2023 23:59 UTC and the free spins for Penny Pelican will be credited to your account right away!

I am impressed the way WINZ is consistent about the free spins giveaway every week. Till date my mail box is flooded with the Winz promos and they keep reminding me about this casino. Over the time things have been little messy at my end choosing the casino which are solely based on the crypto currency. However, there are few select which made it clear for me to choose from many. I can say that WINZ is one of them. There is huge competition out there as to which one is best, WINZ definitely stands clear chance in it. I am posting this because I saw the email as well as this announcement here. Now I am confused whether I should shift my entire focus on investing in the WINZ slots or do it gradually with these free spins. They are attractive! Keep it up guys.  Tongue Tongue

Hello, just passing by to drop a very positive feedback to support and staff from this casino. They asked KYC, i sent everything and about at maximum 10 minutes was everything verified and i could cashout with no problem. I recommend  Grin
indirectly you give a good reputation to this casino, I am not an active user of this casino, but if you trust this casino to give your identity that is your right, after all for the rules that have been set when they ask you to submit KYC for withdrawal, then you have run by the rules they enforce, I think that's fair  Wink

I think it's really fair to give KYC as and when required if our money is involved and opposite party is trustworthy. Obviously these things give it more confidence and we can also be sure about our money in the long run. Sometimes tracking trails can be beneficial. However, in case of WINZ I barely doubt one can have trust issues.
733  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - take profits or continue to DCA? on: February 07, 2023, 06:17:39 PM
My thinking behind selling is although I got in at a good price (my current average buy is £15k), that it is only a 6x from £100k which is the expected amount Bitcoin will reach next bull run.

That's really nice average mate. You can easily gain bigger profits and considering you have already (almost) doubled your investment with this rate. That is already a good success point for you and now it's your own decision whether to increase your profits more or just take what you have right now in your portfolio.

Now, since its open discussion if I were you, then I would continue your DCA methodology considering you are doing it perfectly. I mean bitcoin is non ending asset, it's growth is entirely based on demand and supply method and it was meant to grow in value eventually. This gives us crazy upper hand in the DCA. It's both volatile and beneficial that way to keep up the demand. Happy DCAing mate.
734  Economy / Economics / Re: Indonesia Completely Positive about the Crypto - To launch Crypto exchange on: February 07, 2023, 05:50:07 PM
~
Despite all this, I consider it a smart attempt by the government of Indonesia to monopolize the sector for itself, as it does with any other central service. This will ensure more transparency for users and greater guarantees that their savings are safe.
~
Despite everything, I still think that Indonesia is logistically unable to control efficiently in this field. Therefore, it is not surprising that the launch has been postponed many times. Other countries, more technologically advanced than Indonesia, did not risk such an experiment.

You see, that's the problem with monopolies at the state level.
If they would just compete with CEX then that would ensure the users would get to choose, and the government itself would need to keep up with others in order to not fall behind, once there is no such thing they can just take their time, provide crappy services, spend money like there is no tomorrow on useless stuff and in the end the population foots the bill.

Of course, the good parts still stand but them acting like an overlord in the entire crypto arena won't lead to any breakthrough.

That’s true and it could be bad in the long run because once people lose their trust from government run schemes then it’s just one way. People will straight forward go for the private sectors because they are more corporate like (though costly). However, we don’t want it in the crypto space since private institutions has already failed to deliver security of funds and also those cases are rising with the time.

In case of government run projects at least there non ending money which flows and secures outrageous falls that may occur over the time.

But checking out the Indonesian visions I am seeing ray of hope for the locals and businesses as well. They will definitely stand by their promises considering the way they have speeded up things. :-)
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin? openAI ChatGPT edition on: February 07, 2023, 03:47:29 PM
Yo man, that's crazy how AI was able to explain it to every age group and it did just well considering the fact that we were expecting humanly answers from the AI. Oh man, it's now more fearful, AI knows what bitcoin is and sooner or later it will figure out how to crack the blockchain and gain the historical data. Lolz (kidding).

I just hope that it remains a joke, about what I said in the last line above because the forum itself is flooded with the ChatGPT topics and there are some amusing topics that are being discussed about it. Some of them are also more detailed and are technical thus making it worrying some about safety of our data.

Anyone feel like this is close to "Eagle Eye" project. ??
736  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ChatGPT and Trading on: February 06, 2023, 05:51:51 PM
Gosh, stop it with the whole AI thing right here right now. I don’t know where the world is going with this but it is going to create lazy quota around the world. It was time when everything was being discussed face to face, man to man and now it’s all about the computers and their language and their actions. Really? Are we going to be that much lazy now that we want a machine to trade for us or do something for us?

At the end of the day when we will sue our brains or on what we are going to use it? Are we loosing the hopes from bright minds or creating one out ourselves with the time? Oh wait I think we should ask this to ChatGPT!
737  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 06, 2023, 05:25:26 PM
Yeah they got amazing promotions all the time. I barely doubt any other casino has able to pull such high stakes on this forum. There are some others though which are running their campaigns way before than Roobet does and till date they are doing it. It’s no wonder why they are running today also, they know very will this forum has huge network size which adds up more and more everyday. This mean campaigns not only giving more exposure to the casinos but they are also getting huge assets on the way.

I mean even if they get couple of new gamblers every week who wager’s more than few thousands over a week then they are almost running it at no cost. Obviously they have studied the market properly and just love that thing about them. Hope so they will maintain their presence like this and be symbol of honest casino around.
738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gavin Andresen calls it a "mistake" to trust CSW on: February 06, 2023, 04:48:30 PM
Good, at least someone openly stated their mistake about the involvement in game of who is and who isn’t Satoshi. This should be lesson to all those who keep digging deep down the history and try to impersonate the name of Satoshi.  I think it’s really disrespectful to get started over that conversation. I know there is curiosity since the beginning but if Satoshi never wanted to be visible then why the heck world cares about it. Let him be in piece and enjoy his millions of bitcoins that are in his wallet. There could be sad news about his life, why we should even try to get the matters in our hands. It would have been different if they were present and were open to discuss the bitcoin agenda.
739  Economy / Economics / Talk about crypto investment - But Investors await FED Chair speeches! on: February 06, 2023, 03:30:34 PM
Interestingly, crypto has made non ending connection with the real world and out of the crypto space since many investors and the bigger one's look for the signs of goodness from FED all the time. One of the report shared by @coindesk, dives all the way into paradigm of conspiracies' and how bitcoin is dependent on the fact-o-check from FED.

Companies are looking for data from the FED to make any big moves in the crypto sphere. Even they are looking and analysis what S&P500 are doing, because their earnings directly affect the market, how investors react to it and how investor based companies make their decisions in the long haul.

Quote
FactSet data shows that less than 1% of the companies in the S&P 500 reported earnings that were above estimates. This is below the five-year average of 8.6%, and the 10-year average of 6.4%.
"As a result, the earnings decline for the fourth quarter is larger today compared to the end of last week and compared to the end of the quarter," FactSet's senior earnings analyst John Butters wrote in a Friday market update. "If the index reports an actual decline in earnings for Q4 2022, it will mark the first year-over-year decline in earnings reported by the index since Q3 2020.”

Quote
“Capital is now concentrated into areas with business models and product market fit. There is also less appetite for pure token rounds, with many investors preferring equity," Le said.

Quote
“Investors were very willing to underwrite risk, bet on exploratory and niche products, and take an optimistic view of the space,” Nate George, Venture Capital Co-Lead at Cumberland, told CoinDesk.

Speaking late last week on CoinDesk TV, David Siemer, CEO of accounting software provider Wave Financial, said that the market is giving mixed signals – strong job numbers, but mediocre earnings results – and he still expects a recession this year, albeit a weak one.
“I am a little more optimistic that it won't be quite as severe a recession as in a great recession or major, major recession,” he said, pointing to the resilience of consumers. “The fact that the Fed's actions are having such a slow effect doesn't mean cumulatively they won't eventually have a major effect. We're probably still a quarter or two away from seeing what the Fed's actions have really actually done to the economy.”
And what does this mean to crypto prices, looking forward? Joe DiPasquale, CEO of crypto fund manager BiBull Capital, wrote in a note to CoinDesk that crypto markets are “optimistic” after a modest rate increase and bitcoin will “oscillate around the $20K support level for the next few months, barring other unforeseen events and market action.”
Meanwhile, the U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) is opening the Asia trading week at 103.12, staying in what many analysts call a “defensive” position. The measure of the world’s largest fiat asset spent most of last year surging, hitting stock and crypto prices hard. Year-to-date it’s down 1.4%.

The article suggests, this connection is due to relation between hovering minds of investors who are looking for the profits from both side of world. Many institutional investors would be having both domains registered these days. This means, crypto and share market can be seen playing all along and could affect optimistically.

The written article is very big, and contains properly researched data.

740  Other / Meta / Re: [Results 2022] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: February 03, 2023, 07:06:02 PM
Oh man nicely hosted competition here!
Congratulation to all the winners and a big heart to those who did not win but its never the last competition.

Wow, I think we should have more awareness about the Bitcointalk Community Awards though I have seen it flashing on the top tab then also I only got engaged few times with it.

However, considering the volume of the members we have on this forum, it should be even grand than this.

Still, loving the energy here and those different characters and awards are just cool. Add more categories, may be we can have more participants soon.

By the way I am seeing all the names in the winning list which are always there whenever I am opening the forum everyday! Definitely worth it.

That's a cool idea!

Although, I think it would be even nicer to add a BCA forum badge with the specific award(s) in the tooltip, like this:

Definitely worth coding it! Smiley
