721  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safest Way to Sell Bitcoins? on: September 09, 2017, 12:32:22 AM
What is the safest way to sell bitcoins? Where can I do so?

It depends on what fiat currency you want and where you want, if you want payment in wallets then exchange like poloniex, bittrex are good but if you want to sell and get payment in your bank then you can try localbitcoins site as they have lot of option to sell bitcoins and their are lot of users to trade. Even the escrow system is very good.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/breaking-bitcoin-altcoin-prices-tumble-up-to-25-on-china-exchange-ban-rumors

Local outlet Caixin is reporting the Asian country is planning to shut down local bitcoin exchanges, according to a Google translation.

Bitcoin's price fell 7 percent Friday following the news, according to Coindesk market data.

So this is the one causing the price significantly, they are just planning and yet the price is dropping on all coins in the market, what more if they implement that Ban this is not good I hope they scrap the plan.

Even if china going to shut down their local exchanges i dont think that will affect much as now other country have started to buy in bitcoins and lot of exchanges are going good, so no more china fud this crash is nothing to make panic in traders but nowadays users are taking this crash as buying opportunity. Bitcoin has very bright future.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: September 09, 2017, 12:12:51 AM
Barcelona shoulf be having an easy job against Espanyol they always score in every game against of city mate Espanyol and it was always normal for the hosts Barcelona to get 4 or 5 goals scored in that type of games . But we can not overlook that FC Barcelona has lost some of its shine lately but they are still Barcelona and a win is a must for them with Suarez is fit again and Dembele is improving so Messi is no longer alone and it should be. Better game for the catalans while Espanyol this is of course the game of the year their derby for them so motivation is no shortcoming and I wouldn't be surprised if they scored they done it before in camp new 3 times from last 4 so I'm going with over 2.5 goals.

If you see most of the Barcelona matches they have conceded goal so both team to score is also a safe bet and over 3.5 and 2.5 goal bet is also a good one and you can even take over 1.5 goal in first half.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 09, 2017, 12:09:54 AM
My predictions for 09/09/2017
Manchester city vs Liverpool: both teams to score
Arsenal vs Bournmouth: @Arsenal score 2 goals or more
Stoke City vs Manchester United: @Manchester United
Leicester vs Chelsea: @Chelsea or draw
Everton vs Tottenham: both teams to score

I will go with your prediction because all your bets are safe side as some matches can go draw so betting on this type of bets will give your more profit.
725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Bitcoin is banned? on: September 09, 2017, 12:06:53 AM
It would be really terrible news. Some people have a lot of money invested in bitcoins. It's scary, to lose everything in a second

Very terrible and many will be disappointed with this type of news. But we will not be heading on that scenario, we are on the opposite side and bitcoin will not be banned instead it will be lightly accepted and will be adopted by with different countries so there's no way I can see that bitcoin will banned. It may be banned in some other countries but the whole bitcoin itself won't be.

Any thing can happen latest china started to ban ICO offerings and now they are in the process of shutting down the local exchanges. what if other country also start to follow this and make illegal use of bitcon. So that is why it is not recommended to keep full investment in bitcoin or other cryptocurrency. I keep only 30% of my bitcoin earning in bitcoins and balance i just convert them to fiat currency for safety side.
726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Seeds deeply unsecure? on: September 06, 2017, 04:47:33 PM
So brain wallet would be the safest to get not hacked?
No. The human brain naturally loves to have short cuts in remembering stuff. If you generate a brainwallet using a passphrase, it is very possible that the passphrase is weak and it can easily be cracked. This is true even if the brainwallet you generate uses an algorithm that takes more time to derive.

The safest way to not get hacked is just to create a wallet like everyone else.

What you said is true that brain wallet is not the safest but the seed key generated through software is the best option and what OP wanted to is not possible only 1 % chance in 100 and i think OP is lucky Smiley

Hi guys,

I want to trade my VSL for BTC and then transfer the BTC to Kraken.

Which exchange can I use best to do this? Basically I have the choice between Liqui and Livecoin.

Most trading of VSL happens on Liqui, however I read that this exchange is not reliable when you want do do a withdrawal.
Another option is Livecoin, however I cannot find if this site is reliable when it comes to withdrawals and what the maximum withdrawal amount is.

Does anyone have any experience in trading VSL and can recommend me what  to do?

BR

I withdraw from Liqui all the time and never had a problem. But the withdraw fee for btc is high compared to other exchange exchanges. I don't use Kraken but am sure they have ETH or LTC you could look into send alts and save of the btc withdraw fee from Liqui.

Is it safe to trade on liqui any of the tokens? I see some complaints coming up on the withdrawal side when the request is pending for a long time on the liqui thread. How is the current experience trading there and also it is safe when considering a few hacks being reported by users on their liqui accounts?

I have traded a few coins on liqui with no hiccup. Though i should add that went i said a few coins, i really meant it. total was under 0.2btc. Anyway, my withdrawal took a few hrs but my only complain is there fee. it's quite high compared to the other exchanges i use, thus the reason i stayed away after that initial use.

Agreed, they really have too high fees for withdrawing BTC and if you check ETH based tokens it's even higher for that.Compared to bittrex where the fees range from 0.1-0.5 for a token like HMQ, it's totally higher in the range of 3-5 HMQ in case of liqui. This is the reason I don't use the exchange for trading any new tokens.

That is why the big whales are not trading on that site and only the site developers and their bot is running on all coins because lot of time i have seen that only the bot is trading in the coins and you have to sell in lower if you want to sell your coin.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: September 05, 2017, 08:39:25 AM
I still think that vDice might be a lot more popular with lowered/adjustable maximum bet amount.
We asked about it couple times and it seems that even this simple change is something hard to implement for vDice team.
I stopped betting on vDice when price of ETH crossed $50 - as I can't risk more than $80 (current 0.2210 ETH) in one bet...

Ya it is true that still they have not lowered the minimum bet amount and due to this  i think most of the gamblers have stopped betting on their site and it is not good as it will feature a bad image to the coin and its developer.

731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much did you lost today, including profits. on: September 05, 2017, 07:40:07 AM
I don't trade more frequently but I have some investment in Bitcoin and altcoins. My portfolio is showing a loss of nearly 10% but yes, it was expected and I am going to accumulate further considering long term speculative gains. I am aware of the crypto markets and its wild behaviour so I am investing slowly and I can bear the loss up to 60% to 70% for my portfolio as I did the research focused on the long term market environment.

Perfect investing pattern, only if you invest this way of split and invest now you are able to invest more in this dip and average your investment price so that next pump of price you will be in profit very soon. Only the shitcoins where Chinese were involved will get dead other good altcoin will pump back to high price in some time.
732  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why are people acting as if China couldn't cause a market wide collapse? on: September 05, 2017, 07:36:23 AM
China didn't cause a market-wide dip.

Stupidity, over-reaction and panic did.

Perfectly said, this all panic is from the weak hand traders who are always reacting to the fud and silly unknowing the details about any news and just panic and sell everything and when the market reacts positively and go up then come and cry here of their stupidity action. But this is good for the real investors for investing back in low.
733  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: "ICO ban" in China: not about ICO, but about crypto at all on: September 05, 2017, 06:31:58 AM
translation...
standard finance warning about running a Fiat using money service business without a licence
and the risks of investors putting money into such things
You pointed that out in one sentence. There is nothing to worry about. It doesn't remain to bitcoin or well known cryptocurrencies.
It is like the thing with the oil pricrs or shares. There is sone "news" and all panic, price is falling until shareholders are aware how the real facts are.

What you are saying is true this all are the tactics to bring down the bitcoin price so that the chineses big whales who are in short position wanted to cover it and then they will pump the price. Same thing happen last time when china banned bitcoin transaction in exchanges but after some days they restarted and the impact was not that much as now apart from china other country users are more activerly working on bitcoin and on any decline of price they are taking as buying opportunity within this week end we will see the price moving up.
734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 6 Days! Going on a week still Unconfirmed!! on: September 02, 2017, 03:10:23 PM

Now that his transaction got confirmed but the OP did not turned up and i dont think he will atleast come to this post and give thanks to the persons who helped him, as OP have mentioned that will give some tips to the helpers but still no worries as this was expected.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Frustration in betting. on: September 02, 2017, 03:05:59 PM
In betting, you can be disappointed only if you constantly expect a guaranteed win from them. If you treat this as entertainment, then sometimes it will be possible to receive a bonus as a bonus.

For me, in order to prevent me from frustration, I'm usually prepare for loss rather than winning since math taught me that the chance of loss are greater than winnings.
That's why only few people able win big from total thousand or million bettors who experience loss

What you said is the perfect solutions for the persons who are in loss and why the successfull persons are richer because whether in betting or any part of life , if you keep patience and follow the rules then you will surely be successful in life and you can control the frustration and gambling addiction
736  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is BTC going on bearish trend now? on: September 02, 2017, 01:41:01 PM
Don't want to scare anyone, but here is what Goldman Sachs wrote on 14th August:

http://uk.businessinsider.com/bitcoin-price-technical-analysis-goldman-sachs-top-2017-8

Quote
Sheba Jafari, the head of technical strategy at Goldman Sachs, wrote in a note sent to clients on Sunday that because bitcoin was approaching her target of $3,691 (which it has since passed), an extension wave five of this move could take bitcoin all the way up $4,827 before a correction pushes it all the way down to about $2,221.

She was right in the first part of her prediction in that bitcoin blasted up to $4827+.

Whether she is right about the correction following that is anyone's guess.

I dont think that it will go to that level of downward we can see some correction and going till 4200+ level but below that it will start the panic selling and then we cannot see how much low we can see because now 5k is the sentimental price which once crossed it will move more 400 to 500 usd upward.
737  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Neteller and BTC on: September 02, 2017, 08:25:42 AM
Hello,

I work for a company since 2 years ago and they pay my salary via Neteller every end of the running month, I've been using XAPO as my BTC wallet because I can use my money on Neteller to add funds to Xapo and transfer the USD to BTC instanly on XAPO, then I use to sell the BTC all the time sending to external address paying a very low fee.

Now the fees on XAPO to send BTC to external adress are ridiculous, Is there any other good wallet on the internet where I can add funds easily with Neteller and tranfers to BTC with small fees for transactions to external addresses ?

The problem with transaction fees isn't xapo's fault. They used to have a free to pay business model but a few months ago they changed that so that you have to cover the transaction fee yourself, which was understandable since the transaction fee was so high. Coinbase did a similar thing.

I would suggest sticking to xapo if you are already using them and verified. Because you won't get much better deals elsewhere, you will still be charged blockchain fees and you'll only get worse rates. And you have to do all your verification again.

For example, the best offer you're going to get on LBC is around $300-400 above spot, and you'll still have to pay the 0.0005 or so transcation fee if you are sending to a bitcoin address.

I see.. Thank you for your suggestion.

But XAPO is a web wallet and it is  not recommended to use it for storing bitcoins for long term, just be caution because anytime they can block your account if they found any suspicious problem.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🔴 ICOBID PLATFORM RELEASED 🌟🔴 GREAT REWARD 🌟🔴 HOLDING FOR REVENUE SHARE on: September 02, 2017, 07:51:58 AM
Been holding for a while, no word from the dev is not a good sign. Just sold all my coins. Good luck to you guys. There are way too many other projects for me to be holding on to this. Adios.  Kiss

Well that is sad that you have to abandon ship, anyway I hope you enjoyed your stay and had a profit on the one year of existence of ICOBID.  I am also tempted to leave but I decided to give it until the end of the year Smiley.  If no development or news then probably it is time to follow those who jump out of this coin.

I wont sell my coins i am doing every week trading and earning nicely as their is trading going with 4 to 7 sat range. So now i am not worried about the coin future as i know that future will be superb and even if get dead i wont regret as i have earned more then ....... Smiley
739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Found a bitcoin wallet on my old computer, what can I do? on: September 02, 2017, 07:44:22 AM
I want to get rid of an old computer, but I checked it for bitcoins, because I knew I tried to mine this in the past.
The only thing I still have is this:

It include a  wallet.dat file and some other files

I wonder what I safely do to access this
Anyone an Idea where I can find instructions what to do?
And anyone knows where all these files are for?

As per my experience what i have seen in the pic is the files which are resembling to other crypto currency and not the Bitcoin so better you can also check with other coin wallet which were their on that time.
740  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase help! on: September 02, 2017, 07:35:53 AM
They will not respond to any thing i send them and they have the worst customer support. you'd think with all the money they are making off of exchange fees that they would hire more people. Any advice would be appreciated!

Join the club. They're the worst exchange I've had to deal with. I've not had a single response to several support requests over two months and I've verified my bank with them successfully twice now but still wont let me withdraw funds. If they had an account on here I'd for sure leave them appropriate feedback because their service is appalling.

So it shows how unprofessional this online web wallets and bitcoin traders are , because seeing your response it means that really coinbase are scammers and still they are surviving. If i am not wrong they are surviving because of giving customer details to the government authorities so  that they can scam the users and coinbase is helping them that is why their site is not getting any hurt from this officials.
