7202  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Interest Check] Casascius Brass 0.5 BTC Coin on: October 19, 2021, 10:36:11 PM
I didn't get any messages about the 0.69 BTC tentative offer on this Casascius coin so I think I will most likely start an auction for it at 0.65 BTC and see if anyone is interested in bidding.  I need to get it and get pics and all that wonderful stuff first...

I also hear that people want raffles but I don't think this is the coin for it (I'd love to be wrong if there were enough folks to pull it off).  I'll toss something fun up to keep people busy with a different prize and see what happens.

Man… Ben Simmons got kicked out of practice and suspended today… The drama continues. We’ll have to wait for more details on what occurred, but I think it’s safe to say that Ben Simmons won’t be making up with Philadelphia anytime soon. I really don’t think the sixers have any choice at this point but to dump him off to Sacramento for Fox and try to salvage something from the Ben Simmons failed experiment.
7204  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Where to buy custom holograms for physical BITCOINS? on: October 19, 2021, 09:31:12 AM
Google is your friend when it comes to searches like this.  There are lots of different vendors that offer these services, but there are also a lot of different options involved.  You'd be surprised...  You need to find the vendor that offers the price that fits your budget and the features you want.  Some have 5000pcs minimums, some have massive costs, some can get them to you in a week, some take months...  Once you know exactly what features you want, your budget, and how many pieces you need, the search gets easier.
7205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe BTC can be attacked? on: October 19, 2021, 07:37:47 AM
I’m sure people are attacking Bitcoin constantly. I wouldn’t expect anything less. There is such a massive amount of wealth held on the blockchain now, it would be almost irresponsible of the community not to have people constantly looking for new exploits. Whether or not they will be successful is another story. The L1 blockchain looks pretty secure to me.
7206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 19, 2021, 07:32:23 AM
This market doesn’t seem to want to dip. I figured we’d see a sell the news situation on the ETF approval but we barely dipped below $60K. That makes me think this rally has legs still… I think there’s a good chance we could see new highs tomorrow and break into price discovery territory. That probably means we’ll get the dip to clear out some leverage.
7207  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mass media manipulation - Rating system as way out to freedom ? on: October 18, 2021, 10:30:47 PM
Education would be the long term answer - critical thinking etc - but that's very boring and can't be solved by a tech startup. Stupid people are easier to mold into preferred shapes so I would assume that less education is going to be the trend going forward.

Who would want that?

Don't you love talking big government liberals into a corner?  They are so hell bent on pushing their agendas that their own talking points are dangerous warnings.  Imagine thinking the government wants the population to be dumb so it is easier to control, and then saying they should control our healthcare and tax the rich to pay for further growth and dependency of these "dumb" people.  If you believe the government is trying to dumb down and control the population, stop advocating for a larger government and more taxes.  It's really that simple, but don't expect the braindead Trump hurt me crowd to accept reality anytime soon.  They can't even figure out which bathroom to use...
7208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin > Gold on: October 18, 2021, 10:05:41 PM
Somewhat of a blanket statement that couldn't possibly hold true.  For example, when I make jewelry out of my Bitcoin, nobody ever gives me compliments.  Electricity also doesn't seem to travel along Bitcoin quite as easily and Bitcoin makes for poor teeth fillings.  In the event of a global internet outage or solar flare taking out the power grid, gold may find itself holding value a little better than Bitcoin.  Just a couple things off the top of my head.  Is Bitcoin a better investment vehicle for online trading, sure.  Is it going to be replacing gold in our circuitry anytime soon?  No.

I can’t believe the Suns didn’t give Ayton a max deal. The one good player they draft in years and they’re going to let him slip away while giving 90 million to a backup and keeping Chris Paul around. Sometimes you have to wonder what management is thinking. Does this mean we’ll see an Ayton trade sometime in the future?
I am also surprised about this news!
Deandre Ayton and Devin Booker can be considered "the jewels of the Phoenix Suns".

I would also believe that after Ayton's performance in the playoffs he would have a good chance of getting a maximum deal with the Suns.
Ayton deserves it, he proved he is a good player and consequently has a promising future ahead, as he is only 23 years old, he will improve a lot!

They have got to have something planned.  Booker never really seemed to get along with Ayton and Chris Paul is destined for retirement soon.  Maybe they're planning to do a sign and trade with Ayton and let Chris Paul go to do some major free agent signings?  There's been talk about Deangelo Russel and KAT teaming up with Booker, but that might be a tall order for management.  The Bridges signing for 90 million just doesn't make much sense to me no matter which route they take, which makes me think that Suns management are going to do something stupid.  If only it weren't expected at this point.
7210  Economy / Reputation / Re: 4,836 Hacked BTC from Binance laundered through Chipmixer on: October 18, 2021, 09:55:43 PM
If any other signature campaign was advertising services like this, they would be attacked and trolled into non-existence on this forum.  Every user wearing the signature would be blasted with negative feedback, and possibly warning flags as well.  Why isn't this happening here you ask?  That's simple.  It's the guys that wear the chipmixer signatures that are the ones who do this to everyone else.  Now that they're wearing scam enabling signatures, all you get is them claiming they aren't responsible or deflecting and acting like nothing bad is happening.  Meanwhile these same individuals suck each other off on the trust network and with merit cycling.  Disgusting double standards...

Edit: Funny that suchmoon's buddy ibminer left me negative feedback and has been trolling me for years over advertising a legitimate gambling site that he lost money using, but has no problem with his partner in crime suchmoon advertising money laundering schemes that have now been proven to launder illegally gotten funds for criminals...

Ask yourself why the self-described scam busters here are advertising operations that launder money for scams while the forum's position is not to moderate scams without coming to a nefarious conclusion...

So much for this thread being a respectful obituary for someone who was a very fine soldier...
I for one salute his memory

Instead the anti-vaxers have once again taken a sad occurrence and are using it to promote their views. Shame on you!

Sometimes truth can be inconvenient. The inconvenient truth here is that the vaccine did not work to keep Colin Powell healthy. I understand that doesn’t align with the agenda of many here, but nothing I post alters the inconvenient truth. That is, the vaccine will not save you. The government will not save you. We are all going to die. Some of us choose not to live in fear clutching ineffective vaccines.
7213  Other / Politics & Society / RIP Colin Powell on: October 18, 2021, 01:02:45 PM
Colin Powell was a great public servant and his death will surely bring sadness to many. He died due to covid complications, and was fully vaccinated. This will surely add more fuel to the fire that vaccines don’t work, as Massachusetts also reported 45% of their covid related deaths last week were fully vaccinated.

7214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin transaction fee fixed? on: October 18, 2021, 08:17:25 AM
Transaction fees are determined by the market. Miners can process whatever transactions they want, but it is obviously the most beneficial to include the highest fee per byte transactions as the space is limited in each block. This is a great incentive system that they say cures some problem with some generals or something. (Kidding, but look it up and appreciate greatness.)
7215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problems face Bitcoin? on: October 17, 2021, 08:08:34 PM
The most important issue in my opinion is the inability to scale on-chain.  The limits put in place have stifled Bitcoin's developer community and largely forced those who remain to develop on a subpar chain as they risk being passed up by newer and shinier innovations.  Projects that once thrived on Bitcoin's blockchain are now graveyards of what once was while all attention is on assimilating with the legacy system.  I think Bitcoin's development away from forging a new path and towards legacy systems is going to end up being one of the biggest missed opportunities in the history of mankind.
7216  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RECEIPTS: Patents Expose "Medical Devices" in Jab, Injectable Computing System on: October 17, 2021, 07:58:16 PM
I doubt the government could pull off anything like this.  You're giving them way too much credit.  More likely would be that covid is nothing more than a rough flu strain they used to fearmonger everyone into letting them print 10 trillion dollars.  Injectable computing systems sound expensive and this was an obvious cash grab to make up for the lack of success in the universal health care objective.  I don't think it has to be a complicated conspiracy.  More of the usual inciting fear to print money that we should all be well aware of by this point.
7217  Economy / Collectibles / Re: (NFT'S) Anyone want to comment on them? on: October 17, 2021, 07:44:26 PM
I'm personally a fan of the Bitbones and BullsOnTheBlock NFTs.  They seem to have hardworking teams behind them that are innovating daily to stay ahead of the pack.  Bitbones with their cool development in the Sandbox and BullsOnTheBlock with their DAO and evolutions.

Also an honorable mention to Stoner Cats.  That's a pretty cool little cartoon and with a team made up of celebrities (Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Chris Rock, Seth Macfarlane, Jane Fonda, & Vitalik) I think it's probably a little safer than most.

I should probably also mention I released my own collection on OpenSea.io not too long ago featuring bikini models with some of my coins:
https://opensea.io/collection/blockchain-treasure

one of them forgot her Bikini  Cheesy

Sure.  We'll go with "forgot" her bikini.  Smiley

One thing that didn't get forgotten, the amazing silver minted seat coins they're displaying.  If the artwork isn't beautiful enough to captivate your sense of collector's spirit, that sweet sweet silver is still for sale at your favorite online shop.   Tongue

I'm also giving away NFTs to friendly folks.  If you're a friendly guy or gal (not a troll) hit me up on the PM.
7218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 17, 2021, 07:32:04 PM
We seem to have hit a weekend patch of profit taking, which was to be expected.  I think once the sellers are exhausted and the buyers are back in the office on Monday, we'll see a reversal.  At the moment I'm thinking that Tuesday will be the day we break to a new all time high and set off for the next resistance point (if there is one).  It would be a bit of a disappointment if this rally failed to produce new highs, and I don't think the big boys would let that happen.  This could very well be the last stop before the six figure destination of this train.

Dunno what you are seeing, but you are wrong. Smiley  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

The volumes are too low to matter.

I see pump. Imminent PUMP !!!  Cheesy  Cool  Grin  Shocked  Cheesy  Shocked  Grin  Cool Cheesy

Still seeing a weekend pump? Cooler heads prevail friend. We all want the price to go up but you have to watch the market and listen to what it’s trying to tell you. There are ebbs and flows to this. It isn’t a straight ride to $200K. The leveraged longs make sure of it. We gotta keep liquidating them so no Johnny come latelys get rich overnight with dumb bets.
7219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 17, 2021, 07:29:48 PM
Lebron has been with great players and winning championship, with Miami, (Dwade and Bosh), and then with Cavs (Kyrie) and two seasons ago with the Lakers (Davis).

But one things for sure, with all those great players, Lebron is the King. He might give Westbrook time to shine, but when it is about who are going to make the last shot, Lebron will have the luxury of that. Winning shot for his team, not AD, not Russ and not Melo.

I don't anymore see that Lebron had a successful last shot, in the season where the Lakers won a championship, it was Davis who made the last shot and a game-winner (I know you guys still remember that). Lebron is great, no question about that, but he is not a clutch player like Kobe and Jordan, sorry to say but it's the reality.

I think it has more to do with style than clutch-ness. LeBron isn’t a finesse player, he’s a power player. In last second situations that isn’t what you want, so he demands attention and passes the ball to the open man like he’s supposed to. This play style is the same reason Giannis is easily shut down by good defensive teams while Durant does not.
7220  Economy / Speculation / Re: The "Vladimir Club" on: October 17, 2021, 06:56:49 AM
Oh memories...  If only the people who were posting about this topic back then had any idea what would be coming down the line...  As a once member of this club myself, it wasn't as amazing as it now would appear.  Relatively speaking, I was quite poor when I was a member of this club but very much still a believer in Bitcoin's potential.  I think the mistake that I made was thinking there would be more time before the world caught on.  Everything happened so fast that it was difficult to hang onto your BTC and resist the temptation to cash in massive gains, even back when the price was below $100.
