Is this what Exodus wallet was announcing they were adding this to their wallet in their last update?
I never heard of it before when I upgraded last night and boom!
It was available to my wallet to start storing them with out asking me. Undecided

Kind of weird if you ask me.
But ah well. Embarrassed

This is part of the ERC20 Ethereum token system so it runs on
the Ethereum blockchain as has been mentioned by hannusolo above.

It is easily incorporated into exodus as they already had/have wallets
for ethereum.... which also means that all the other tokens can be
stored in exodus going forward.

here is their roadmap > http://woobull.com/exodus-wallet-roadmap-a-list-of-upcoming-asset-support/

So regarding Golem there is much speculation here about what the
price is going to do but for me I think this is a long term project.

7326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GNT] Golem Project - The world’s most powerful supercomputer on: April 24, 2017, 11:24:01 AM
I know golem is currently useful for rendering, but might it eventually be used for ''harder'' calculations? Like numerical calculations for physics (like CAD and FEA)?
It'd be really useful to many people and companies. (personally i'd use it from the get-go)

Also, do the different golem stages (from the roadmap) have any rough dates set?

Thank you  Cheesy

Just curious if anyone here is currently using Golem?
are you using it yourself Hiyatus for rendering?

as I mentioned I love the idea but I would not have
need of the service/technology [yet]
7327  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [COMING SOON] The biggest e-shop with Cryptocurrency as payment method on: April 24, 2017, 09:25:49 AM
This is great news! and to expand on what has been mentioned
its great to see a warehouse in the UK which I assume will be
servicing Europe if this is the case have you considered the
implications of brexit?

Anyway its good to see Deals 4 Coins and good to see Bitcoin,
Litecoin and Dogecoin being accepted.

I understand Ethereum to be more of a technology platform rather
than a "Coin" so i'm not sure payments would be accepted?
7328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Belacoin - Supercharging entrepreneurship with the power of the blockchain on: April 24, 2017, 08:36:17 AM
great, thanks for the updates!
I have noticed them on the website and I agree that they are definite improvements
especially the change to 0.25bela for a like and the possibility to delete images.

I'll head over to slack and check out the threads there.
7329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: April 21, 2017, 01:13:54 PM
I answered "trading" purely because of the pump and dump
scenario's that are happening lately with alt currencies.

Look at what has happened with Dash and Ethereum since
January, I made a nice trade back into Bitcoin from those 2

Of course everyone knows that trading is risky but I think in regards
to signature campaigns [although they are a nice reward] the return is
quite small on a weekly basis. The signature campaigns are obviously
more lucrative as your level of membership grows but I as a conservative
trader what you could earn in a week of signature campaigns you could make
as a day trader.
7330  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [IDEA] "Can I buy this with bitcoins?" site on: April 21, 2017, 09:52:26 AM
This kinda sorta ended up being BitForTip.com but I wish it were better.

the problem with a lot of websites and products is getting it out there
so people know about it. I never knew this existed thats a great idea!

great site, there seems to be a lot of activity on the english language section alone

What is the rate of completion of the tips?

I see on page 1 there is a signature code for Junior Members and text to say
members above Jr.Member may apply. can anyone confirm if Jr Members can apply?

[because i'm not going to read through almost 500 pages]

No buddy sorry. Junior members are not allowed to join this signature campaign. It takes from the member level first. So you cannot apply now. If you have any confusion, you can go through this link below and read it carefully. Then you will be able to understand it.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=907271.0

Yes no worries thanks for the info,
what threw me was the the Junior Member code, thats all.

thanks again
7332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple releases 333 million more Tokens on: April 20, 2017, 09:31:54 AM
My understanding of releasing more coins on the market is that its needed to facilitate the
potentially millions of transactions which will occur and is occurring between banks.
This I think is going to rise with more and more banks adopting it.

as it stands the total circulating supply is going to be shy of 100billion, we are only at
37billion now . . . i view it as something for the long term.

Because its so low in value now its a no brainer to risk $20. Thats my opinion.

That number is arbitrary, given that they can be subdivided.

I didnt know they could be subdivided and I cannot find anything online
which states this.

Why do people like a coin that can just randomly put 333 million coins into circulation, raising the market cap substantially?
Crazy

Who do they sell? I mean they sell the tokens through which website? It is insane to gain the supply again. Ripple will be dead soon

I hope they will to many supply and they will just release as they want,of course they have a good roadmap but being a decentralized is such a big letdown to this coin, the team and the company are the whales here, since they control their supply and their premine but you cannot argue with success.

I think in every crypto there are whales creating waves for the minnows to deal with
7333  Economy / Services / Re: YO-EX Signature Campaign [Pay Per Post]{PAUSED} on: April 19, 2017, 09:35:45 PM

7334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GNT] Golem Project - The world’s most powerful supercomputer on: April 19, 2017, 11:35:57 AM
Any reason why i should believe this will ever be worth more than 10 cents a coin?

Are there any reasons why it should be more that 5 cents per coin? Or 1 cent per coin?

When an asset starts to approach previous highs it is tempting to rationalise its worth as such. Technical traders may sell and declare: this is normal.

In truth however, the wild west of the cryptospace doesn't quite work like that.

The 38.2% retraction from Golem's ATH held confidently and thereafter upwardly rebounded, and the fact we're now knocking on the door of 0.0001 proves that GNT's worth is likely to be much higher. If that weren't the case, the price would have descended a long time ago.

We're in a process of price exploration. The combination of mainstream Golem exposure in publications such as Bloomberg and Wired is something that is likely to be built-upon and further compounded - an example of a successful Ethereum asset with demonstrable practical usage.

These are the ingredients of a luxurious asset rich in speculative energy that is prime for the new mainstream.

It starts with 10 cents per coin, and suddenly it is 20 cents per coin. And soon after it is 40 cents per coin. And in time speculators are wondering whether 80 cents is too high or too low, before it finally becomes clear that a 1 dollar Golem is actually a pretty good price for the current climate.

Excellent analysis for sure and can be applied to a lot of new Cyrpto which promise "demonstrable practical usage"
Crypto which offers tools that can be used NOW by people looking for solutions to problems and who dont know
or have any interest in crypto currencies rather than a "coin" which can be limited in useage and which may
never be used outside a crypto community.

I love the potential blockchain technology holds
7335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what hinders bitcoin to become a mainstream currency? on: April 19, 2017, 10:11:59 AM
I think its near impossible for Bitcoin to become mainstream,
Like other crypto currencies it is used primarily as a trading commodity.

but it can improve to become another payment system.

This is how I evaluate it

This could take a number of things: Adoption, Awareness and Acceptance

As has been mentioned if lets say the top 10 global online retailers adopt and accept
Bitcoin as a payment option awareness and acceptance could follow.

So if the awareness raises in the general shopping population how do they
purchase in bitcoin because their wages and assistance are all paid in fiat?

They have to buy bitcoin with fiat, whats the advantage? This is the acceptance issue!
7336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm Selling My House to Buy Litecoin on: April 19, 2017, 07:45:11 AM
All depends on how his trading goes and whether he gets out at the right time.
Actually that goes for all trading really.
Thede are big gains to be made with big funds on small movements, but yes it is risky
7337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GNT] Golem Project - The world’s most powerful supercomputer on: April 18, 2017, 11:05:43 PM
I have recently  [today] traded into Golem
what caught my attention is the fact that Exodus Wallet is supporting it from yesterday.
I like Golems use of the blockchain to provide a "service" rather than a "coin"

The super computer idea is fantastic, especially for rendering of graphics which
takes a lot of processing power.

I also like the reward feature for renting out your computers processing power.

7338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many people here are using tether? on: April 18, 2017, 10:27:44 PM
Well at the moment on Poloniex if you want to trade currencies to the US$ you have
to use USDT, its like US$ on the blockchain and give a clear indication when trading
into and out of it the value of your traded currency in $

I think its a great idea. the option is to trade from one crypto Bitcoin to another . . . Ethereum
but this can be a little misleading at the moment especially as BTC is on a rise.

Its handy to trade into something that is relatively static
7339  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Cross & Parker Writing Instruments / Pens on: April 18, 2017, 10:08:31 PM
I have an old CROSS pen [stainless steel I think] for about 18 years and its unused
It has the original refill and still writes. It has the box also.
Its a promotional type pen with my name engraved into the upper part
of the barrel beside the clip and a company logo attached images below.

Not sure if you would be interested. [apologies for the crappy camera phone/low light images]

7340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maidsafe, Sia or Storj, which one do you like the most? on: April 17, 2017, 09:22:02 PM
Back in the days, I had some issues with the Sia wallet, meaning it was a bit unpractical for me to login using a VERY long password, which you used to type in a blind fashion. Also the command line was a bit unpractical for me with long synchronization time. I am sure Sia is working better now than during its first days.

The Storj software used to work very good for me in windows as well as Linux. It has been quite long time since I do not participate any longer in those projects. However, I kept a bit of their coins.
The interesting thing is that Sia some weeks ago started to wake up increasing its value, the same happened with Storj.

Interestingly enough, Golem is the new and first digital asset featured in the quite famous EXODUS desktop multi-wallet. It was a bit surprising to see the first digital asset "Golem" together with 5 digital currencies BTC, DASH, ETHEREUM, LITECOIN and DOGECOIN.

What do you think guys having Golem within the EXODUS wallet, together with: BTC, DASH, ETHEREUM, LITECOIN and DOGECOIN? Does it mean something to you?

I have bought into Sia, I like their road map and the
function behind the crypto, being solely dedicated to online storage!
I like also that there are rewards for providing storage space.

this from the last line in the first post of their [ANN] thread >
"We are looking forward to the data storage revolution."

on a seperate note, I also use the Exodus wallet and will  be checking out Golem, thanks for the heads up.
