I know golem is currently useful for rendering, but might it eventually be used for ''harder'' calculations? Like numerical calculations for physics (like CAD and FEA)?
It'd be really useful to many people and companies. (personally i'd use it from the get-go)


Also, do the different golem stages (from the roadmap) have any rough dates set?

I have bought at bittrex some only with the idea of investment for medium to long term based. I do believe that team will make the project very useful and that will drive it to its real value. It faced typical situation after hitting the one of the biggest exchange so better wait and keep holding to maximize the outcome.

I still buy and hold it for long-term period , Guy. This project is potential and profitable and it's listed on big exchange
so It is worth to invest rather than sell it now. That's a smart decision.

i have been heard my friend about this project and I thought that this project is good. My friend said that he is now into this project and hopefully someday he will be teaching me about this project I really want to get into this and be with you guys earning with this, when I have enough coins I will put some investment on it. Hey, this project is what I used to dream about: not to mine MWh of energy away, but to do some freaking science with it! This is so cool I bought some Golem and holding long-term.

However, I have a noob question: let's say I have a video studio and I want to use Golem to render 3d visualizations. Oh, for exmaple, I'm a scientist with some budget but without a supercomputer. So how exactly can I access the Golem computational powers? What is the interface? How to I rent the needed amount of TFOPs?

This is part of the ERC20 Ethereum token system so it runs on
the Ethereum blockchain as has been mentioned by hannusolo above.

It is easily incorporated into exodus as they already had/have wallets
for ethereum.... which also means that all the other tokens can be
stored in exodus going forward.

So regarding Golem there is much speculation here about what the
price is going to do but for me I think this is a long term project.

I'm not a huge fan of iex, golem is open source right now and you can see how much love/care is going into it. Tons of work on tests, tons of "niceties" for people to use (can just brew install it), etc.
