Well, you'll distribute 166.667 ORA assets for each stakeholder. Somebody for sure will dump, somebody will hodl, somebody will buy. And then goes vote what to do with unclaimed stakes. If vote will win that unclaimed stakes should go to stakeholders, so how these unclaimed stakes will be distributed, while there will be new ORA assets holders after mentioned dump, hodl and buy? Or do I miss something?

I am heavily invested in NXT since several months.
Result:
I am heavily disappointed about price development (and others) and I deeply regret my decision for NXT. Can see a lot of "good News" but no real progress.

You did good LONG TERM investment, IMO. Smiley

Since we are going on NXT AE, what will the price of those stakes?

I think market price Smiley

@martismartis: which version are you running?

0.0.59

EDIT: Ups, missed 0.0.73, sorry. I'll try newer version.
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Moderated Thread - Open Alpha Has Launched[Updates & Discussion] on: July 22, 2014, 04:00:26 PM
Hi

I installed and uninstalled one click client and returned to 0.0.59. Firs I run NIS and after I run NCC I get this error in NIS window

Code:
09:52:15 WARNING No mapping found for HTTP request with URI [/heartbeat] in Disp
atcherServlet with name 'Spring MVC Dispatcher Servlet' (org.springframework.web
.servlet.PageNotFound noHandlerFound)
09:52:15 INFO Http Status Code 404: Not Found (org.nem.core.connect.ErrorRespons
e <init>)

When I open http://127.0.0.1:8989/ncc/web/index.html, I get "NIS unavailable" error window.

Where is the problem?

System used: windows 7 64 bit, chrome 64 bit

Before one click installer, everything worked OK.

EDIT: Errors repeating in NCC command window:

Code:
09:57:41 WARNING No mapping found for HTTP request with URI [/ncc/api/info/nis/c
heck] in DispatcherServlet with name 'Spring MVC Dispatcher Servlet' (org.spring
framework.web.servlet.PageNotFound noHandlerFound)

Anybody? BUMP.

I'm getting errors in command window, while NRS 3.2 is running:

nhz.dontforge="true"
Forging is disabled in config

In properties file I can't find such parameter. Where is the problem?

It's on line 5 of conf/nhz-default.properties
https://github.com/NeXTHorizon/nhz-source/blob/master/conf/nhz-default.properties
If it isn't there you use an old config file, please replace it with the current.

@everyone holding btc/doge: did you already redeem your lottoshares? You can trade them on our Asset Exchange!

Ups, my fault. I was using nhz.properties and copied it from the previous  version. Thank you.
It would be good to know changes in properties file, which goes with newer versions, if any.

Do we need nem.log.x files in order to properly run NEM? It is already 550MB. Can we delete them?

Yes, you can delete them.

OK. But there is a problem with these big log files. I can't leave my Android TV stick running NEM node for week or so, because my stick memory will be empty. Is there some tweak to prevent these log files?

Hi there,

do you have a guide for RasPi  please.

This. Yes please.

I sincerely hope we can see a number of guides to help people set up the client on a number of different platforms, especially as release draws closer.

That's perfect for the wiki. This is something that the community should be doing.
People have been trying to run NIS on quite a few devices including an android-tv-stick (worked Smiley) so I'd appreciate it if those people could share their experience and write up some guides.

http://wiki.nemcoin.com/

It's was me who started NEM on Android TV stick, but I'm not so good in English to write wiki. Short tutorial was here and on nemcoin forum. If it is enough, feel free to use them. Smiley

ELI5 - How is NEM different than other coins?  I'm ready to buy my stake!

One big difference is POI (Proof of Importance) as no other coin offers this. POI will try to alleviate some of the problems with POS where only the large account holders are able to generate any interest. With NXT for example, even if you had a million of them in your wallet you will barely forge anything. POI is totally new, a system where nodes are rewarded based on their "importance" to the network.

What is included in "importance"? running a node for xxx hours, days or making x transfers per day, etc?

it's not about HOW MANY transfers you make, but WHO are you making the transfers with, and WHAT are the amounts.

I'd like to know more, what is WHO and WHAT Smiley Or it is a secret for a while?

Fantastic work!
Can you tell us more about the hardware used? Maybe a picture?
May I link to your post on Reddit.com/r/nem?

Stick info http://www.tvstar.eu/smart-tv-stick-ii/
I think it is possible on any Android stick.

Of course, you can share this info free.

Ok, guys, just to confirm, NEM is runing on my Android TV stick with ubuntu in it. The stick also runs public NXT node, so they work both together Smiley

Thanks for joining!

Thank you. Small instructions:

1. Root android TV stick
2. Install Ubuntu in it (I use "Complete Linux Installer" from google store. There is also "Deploy linux", but not tested by me. Check for youtube how to install ubuntu on Android with Complete Linux Installer)
3. Start ubuntu, install java 8
4. Start nis and ncc.
5. Leave processes running and get back to Android. Open chrome and type 127.0.0.1:8989
6. Enjoy NEM
