So is there absolutely no indication so far of who bought the coins and for how much? Will this information ever be revealed or is it up to the buyer to come forward? I very much doubt it was Karpales though.

The coins were "bought" by a three letter agency that simply has priority in these auctions. Only a symbolic amount of USD changed hands, and coins were transferred to a different arm of the US government.

Lol hey tin man take your foil hat off for a second and read this http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/breaking/sns-rt-us-usa-bitcoin-20140701,0,4038036.story

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Venture capitalist Tim Draper won the U.S. Marshals bitcoin auction earlier this week that captured about $18 million for 30,000 bitcoin, according to an e-mailed statement sent to Reuters.

"With the help of Vaurum and this newly purchased bitcoin, we expect to be able to create new services that can provide liquidity and confidence to markets that have been hamstrung by weak currencies," Draper said in the statement.

The statement was issued by Vaurum, a Palo Alto-based company that facilitates over-the-counter bitcoin trading for financial institutions and high-net-worth traders, of which Draper is a major backer.

"Of course, no one is totally secure in holding their own country's currency. We want to enable people to hold and trade bitcoin to secure themselves against weakening currencies."

Vaurum chief executive officer Avish Bhama said Draper will partner with Vaurum to provide bitcoin liquidity in emerging markets.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Marshal's Service announced that there was only one winner of the auction. It auctioned off bitcoin seized from the Silk Road drug ring. There were more than 40 bidders in the auction, with a number of well-known players in bitcoin saying they were unsuccessful.

Why does it matter who I am, I am not the one involved with a criminal. I am not the one sticking up for someone who has been convicted of fraud, and openly committed it on this board.
But, I do know your name, address, phone number, and all your relatives in CA and FL. I know that you and Mr. Gay have lived in very close proximity in FL. and I know a couple more things I am not going to disclose just quiet yet Smiley

That thread is from January 26th...fucking January 26th. ..When did coinpal ipo launch you little troll

Its still fraud you tard, and he is still going to prison. His probation officer was very interested in his activities, fraud being one of them.

There is no fraud dude. The site is live with updates being made almost daily. The mining pool is pretty much done. Now let's get to you. We filed a spoofing report with the FCC against you for spoofing the Winter park PD phone # and impersonating a police officer. Plus, you brought me into this. So trust me little man...it's gotten real personal.

Oh gawd, this is coming from the same guy who was like "please do not contact me" Sad. Christopher conner you are a true idiot and I am a smidge away from just doxing you and paying people to call your phone over and over. Sure you mother would love that... Sad you still live with your mother I must say. Now do you really want to fuck around cause we can, and something tells me you will come up on the short end of the stick.
