pool having problems today or just really unlucky?

HI,

it's seems that's my mining didn't bring any FTC since a few hours now,
I'm switching pool.
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FeatherCoin Pool - Stratum on: April 30, 2013, 11:57:07 PM
Viperus, as i have said a few times now in this thread, I was not paid for 8 hours of mining at 550 k/h many days ago on the original site. This occurred shortly after I put in a good word for your site as you asked me to do via PM. In fact immediately after receiving my payment for my original work, and posting in this thread that you DID in fact pay me, I turned one of my miners back to your site for a 8 hours session.

This is the session I am speaking of about not being paid. Well, actually i received a one-time credit to my altpool account  of .004 FTC at least 12 hours (and probably longer I forget) after the session ended, but this is clearly not even close to the amount owed for certain. I have not made an account on your new site. If you intend to make good on your above promise of paying your miners for their past work that was not paid due to the site running out of money, then that is great. As I said, I do not have an account at your new site and since the old site is shut down I will provide my FTC wallet address where you can feel free to send me my payment if you wish.

I honestly do not even know how much is owed to me (since the site is down and all) but if you have a record of it still, or send me a payment that even remotely resembles what I should have received, then that would be very nice and I will be happy to report back on this thread to update the situation. Send any payments owed here:

6h3ETimhDYXpEC97wEJiWRYseJ2BJuEjnP

As said before, I will do what I can to ensure all outstanding payments from that site are honored. I have added your address into my list and will process as many payouts as I can this evening.

Hey Viper, if you dont have them, do you have any idea what happened to all the missing FC on the old site?  As I've said before in the thread, I'm mining on fc.altpool with absolutely no problems at all, but this whole previous situation makes me curious.
743  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any hopes of getting an Intrade type predictions market for Bitcoin? on: April 29, 2013, 10:31:09 PM
I've seen what we have so far (bets of bitcoin, and bitbet), and these offer no where near the advantages and freedom of betting as a true prediction market like Intrade have.  Is anyone working or thinking of working on something similar?

I'd love to see a political/predictions market or exchange.  It should be really easy to run, and as a user matching exchange rather than betting against the house, shouldn't even be too hard to set up.  Even right now, there's no reason sportsbooks can't start offering odds for politics and other predictions (Oscars? American Idol? Pinnacle always had those).

someone like btcsportsmatch.com should be able to make this happen SUPER easily, even if they just allowed users to submit or open new bets or markets.

m8 the jones-sonnen aint started yet i dont see the option Sad

ok i see it now

No worries.

Congrats to last night's winners, particularly anyone that took Over 176.5 in the Bulls-Nets game. The final score was 134-142, making for a total of 276 and a cover by almost 100 points. Don't think we've ever seen that!

Good luck today. Great MLB and NBA playoffs, and only 2 days till NHL playoffs starts!

Where was "over 250" on the over/under drop down menu?!  Smiley

12 hrs @ 1260 kh/s and I'll be lucky to receive 20 FC? WTF? (so far I have received just under 10 FC off 20,000 shares with 20,000 left to count)? I have now moved to another pool until you resolve your payout calculation issues Angry

This just sounds like you might either not know this is PPLNS or might not fully understand it?  Did it not strike you as weird that you'd received 10 FC if you'd mined 20,000 shares and had all 20,000 left to count?  You don't have shares "left to count" that isn't how it works.  You have to get your share count up and then you get paid based on your proportion of the pools shares whenever the pool finds a block.  If you'd kept hashing there, @1260 you'd probably be up to something like 6 FC per block  / ~52/day

FWIW, I just switched to this pool yesterday after having lots of problems with p2pool and it has been working great!  automatic payout is working fine, my hash rate is fairly steady, low reject ratio, etc.

crying over a measly 170 bitcoins my sides

lol, sure, pocket change

gl OP, I'm constantly worried the same thing could happen at one of the BTC sportsbooks I have funds on.  Hopefully Pinnacle or someone else reputable opens up a BTC operation
747  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: High Density Milk Crate Rig - 6 GHash on: April 24, 2013, 07:49:22 PM
what kind of setup and connections are you using with what looks like 4 PSUs, 2 rigs with one mobo each, and what looks like 6 GPUs on one rig, 4 on the other?

Do you have something like 2 PSUs per rig/mobo, with one PSU on each powering ~3 cards and the other PSU powering the other cards and everything else, or something like that?

Is there any trick to that kind of setup, or is it just as simple as flipping the switch on both PSUs to turn it on?

looks like there are a number of new asic opportunities starting or on their way, including asicminer eruptors and avalon naked chips.  Any thought as to how to start putting our capital reserve to work?  We have what, 600 BTC waiting for an opportunity?

I'm a big fan of the site and love all of the rapid upgrades and new features.  Got some feature requests of my own-

  • make the home team more clear- standard convention is away @ home, but you guys flip it and say "vs."
  • add alternate run lines to the new MLB run line drop down menu- offer the full range from -2.5 to +2.5 for each side
  • Futures- playoff series prices (better hurry for NBA!) and odds to win conference, championship, etc, and preseason win totals/conference/championship odds
  • Parlays, Teasers
  • Is it possible to make the prices on the page automatically update so I don't get rejected due to line moves and have to refresh and key in the bet again?

Lots of great suggestions! I'm not sure how soon we will be able to do all of this, but I promise we are working to implement some of these ideas very soon!

Please keep the suggestions coming, and we're glad you're loving BitBook!

Ok, since you asked....1st half bets, halftime bets, quarter bets, mlb first 5 innings bets, politics bets, team props, player props...basically, just be pinnacle circa 2006 before they left the US Smiley
