7421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Old (2013) video on Bitcoin by news media on: May 05, 2020, 09:34:08 PM
Just sharing this collections of clips from different news media back in the day

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G314jRumV_8&

Back then they still didn't understand what bitcoin is all about. And all they talk is that it is going to be shutdown by the government and it's just a fad. Moving forward seven years ago, some of them might have change their view or at least this old video is still relevant specially if you're a perma-bear or really hates bitcoin per se. Well they missed a lot!  Smiley

Proud to see another "kababayan" ranking up and you really deserved it man. The threads that you created are really helpful, not just in our local board, but in the community as well. People here are very appreciative to members who contributed so I wouldn't be surprised to see you reaching Legendary one day.
7424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: May 03, 2020, 08:15:49 PM
I would think right now Fury is top of the current crop of heavyweight boxers. Joshua, Wilder, Ruiz and maybe a couple more are in the same bracket. Then lower than that would be the next group.

Right, he is a shoulder above the rest of the current heavyweight right now. Before it was Joshua and Wilder and obviously, they have lost that 0 already and Fury come back and reclaim the belt he won from Wladimir Klitschko. But what happened to him after that big win was history (mental breakdown, alcoholism etc).

So he was really on top already prior to the breakdown and those belts that both Joshua and Wilder has was his in the first place since and he was strip and then vacated the rest of the title.

^^ Thanks for updating this thread.

Yes I would consider this a win for Zhan because it was ruled in his favour. I think this is very big win for him and this might pose another road block to Jihan's grand scheme to have full control again. I'm still seeing that this case will be drag for years in China's court and it might take a toll on Bitmain. Lol, at Jihan suing the city, he really thinks that he is untouchable now. I think this will also create a lot of uncertainty within Bitmain itself including their investors.
7427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: May 03, 2020, 01:18:20 AM
It must entail a lot of money for Wilder and Pulev to step aside and give way to let the Britons fight each other huh.IMHO, the way i see on his last fight against Ruiz, Joshua's confidence is still not there and making this fight with Fury is not a good idea at the moment. That would be history though but letting a less than 100% Joshua in a history fight is just like depriving boxing fanatics the maximum fun that a boxing fight could give us.

But this all depend on how the greedy promoters negotiate, if they think the Fury vs Joshua would generate huge revenue i think they would push for it.
It is a possibility that we could see Fury and Joshua fighting with the international travel restrictions and the uncertainty about when everything will be sorted it is a high possibility that  the fight would happen before the Wilder trilogy, Kubrat Pulev accepted the offer that he would step aside if he gets a good payment and if Wilder accepts that then we will see another one of the biggest fights in boxing.

As per this article: https://www.boxingscene.com/fury-promoter-convo-wilder-step-aside-never-taken-place--148638, someone offered them, but it doesn't mean that the fight will happen in Britain, let me quote:

Quote
"That’s where we are at the moment. There’s been offers made from various countries and organisations to host the fight between Tyson and Anthony Joshua. One of these countries we signed an NDA [Non-Disclosure Agreement] with, which I can’t go into. When I say me, I mean myself, MTK on the behalf of Top Rank and I know Matchroom signed an NDA as well.

And for this fight to really happen, all the parties should agree to everything though, not just how much step aside money Wilder or Pulev will get. Managers, organisers, TV's everything, so it will take a lot of effort just to shoot down the trilogy and push Fury vs Joshua here.

Quote
Frank Warren, who along with Top Rank is the promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, agrees with his promotional rival, Eddie Hearn, when it comes to rejecting speculation that negotiations have begun for a fight between Fury and unified champion Anthony Joshua.

So I think the trilogy will still push through, obviously, it is rescheduled later or early next year and then they can sit down with the next best option for Joshua vs Wilder/Fury.

I agree with Odesk o Upwork na ang tawag ngayon.

I'll try to login to my Odesk account ulit at sisilipin ko nga, baka may jobs na mag fit parin sakin kahit wala na ako ng matagal dun.

7429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of the two will you choose as a gambler? on: May 02, 2020, 03:15:32 AM
19 votes so far and I'm not surprised that gamblers here chooses option 2 because of it's security features. I also voted for that too, because it gives me control, and as far as 2FA goes, hackers are advancing, they can intercept it already. So I prefer to have key base, I think the pros outweigh the cons here.

virustotal is trash. It can't be used as "proof" of malware, only a very vague hint. It is mighty suspicious when someone posts a binary without source which you're supposed to run as root, though.

Example: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/ip-address/<insert ip address of suspected scam sites here>/relations

7434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just hit $8000 today and dropped right back on: May 01, 2020, 11:00:07 PM

2017 is great year for bitcoin and many people keep looking that we will see the same way on what happen before but I think this time will be different but there are strong points that we can see for the price to reach a 5 digits but the one I hope now is we can touchdown at $10k and if this one reached provably the hype will start which will add the pump.

Some time ago it did rally to 12K so yeah, not impossible to break the second (and even the first) ATH.

It was last year, May if I'm not mistaken, it did rally and went to $13k, however, it was followed by correction. Anyhow, this healthy correction was different though, we have the halving, so after climbing as high as $9400, we are back to $8800 today. Not bad though, at least it didn't go to $4k-$5k as other speculators have been saying. And it seems though that accumulation period is over as we approached the halving in about 10 days.
7435  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: The elephant in the room on: May 01, 2020, 01:31:20 PM
Yes it will take time maybe pero darating din ung time na mauungusan nya ung mga ibang members dito in terms of rank. Mangyayari lang un if may willpower pa siyang gawin un Cheesy.

As an alternative, You can go to that page and directly report this kind of scam attempts.

I do hope that no one will fall for this kind of trick. It looks like the page was just created on April 26 and posting random pictures of Filipinos.
7437  Economy / Speculation / Re: New ATH after halving? on: April 30, 2020, 11:58:26 PM
Before 2016 halving, the price went up a total of 50% and this time, when btc is getting closed to the halving, we saw this sudden price pump. During 2016, there was a little uncertainty from China, while we have now the pandemic. What do you think? Will we see 10000 above within this week and new ATH soon?

We just had a minor correction, so I guess if we are going to hit $10k, then we will have to wait. We have touch at least $9400 but quickly fell off to $8700-$8800 so I guess that will be the support for now and we don't know if the bulls are exhausted or FOMO has slowed down. Or maybe some long positions got liquidated above $9k. We still have 11 days to go before the halving, I'm expecting another wild and bumpy ride, we might see some major re-test before a leg up to $10k. Take note as well that we ended this month very strong.
7438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: April 30, 2020, 11:24:34 PM
If Wilder of Fury wants to earn more money, it is better to wait when all the lockdowns are ended and go to China. There, they can make some crazy freak fight. Like Mayweather vs 20-year old kickboxer fight, where first earned $9kk in 2:12 min. First 1-2 combination and the kid is on the ground. Imagine fight Wilder in his shiny suits vs Bob Sapp or Hong-man Choi. This fight would bring million of dollars.
The fight you are talking about took place in Tokyo Japan and not China, these are completely different countries  Tongue. They gave millions of dollars for Mayweather to fight a much smaller kick boxer and the Japanese promoters are known to have these fantasy bouts as the audience see them as pro wrestling and i highly doubt that they were able to recover the money through tickets sales or PPV views. The best place for boxing is always the UK or US because of the high gates they can get than the rest of the countries.

Exactly, well sporting events in China is also big, but I doubt that it will get the massive money if the fight happen Stateside. All PPV records are all in the US, so I don't see the fight happening in China and making a lot of money. The best thing to do right now, is well, wait it out, take advantage of the lull specially for Wilder and prepare himself for his one last chance to get back his belt and redemption for him.
