I cannot see Wilder fighting again after this re-match against Fury because Fury will win and Wilder will losr - exactly why would Wilder fight again? He will not be able to recover mentally from another defeat and that should put all issues about him fighting again to rest.

Who would watch a wilder vs Fury 4 if Fury will win in this third fight?
I also think there will be no more fight between them, there is nothing to prove anymore, in fact people believe that Fury got robbed in the first fight.

Maybe they should make a "best-of-5" series? Fury vs Wild fourth fight will turn their rivalry into Santa Barbara.
I think 3 fights are enough. Who would like to watch Wilders fancy outfit and excuses (in case he losses) or bad words about Fury, and Fury making fun out of Wilder for another time? Audience will lose interest to them...

Besides there are other heavyweight fighters to fight or to watch.

Fight 3 is enough if Fury will end the rivalry, but if Wilder will win, I think they'll go for the money again, more money this time for sure, and slowly Wilder fans will put their confidence on him again and I think Wilder might be the favorite again, back to the top before he will retire.

If Wilder would able to tie it up on this 3rd fight then high chances that there would be a 4th one where this would be decision making bout which would prove out which of them is the best.
I would definitely see the hype is much more higher than into this trilogy but i dont really hope that much that he can beat up Fury on this upcoming fight unless if he do made up
some good counter or tactics then its possible but if he would still box on the same style just like on their previous fight then the winner is already somewhat anticipated.

The first fight was a robbery if you score the fight every round and if the fight was conducting outside the US Tyson Fury would be declared as the winner but then the Wilder's team will call for the rematch as there is a clause for a rematch and the second fight Tyson Fury said exactly what he was preaching before the fight but now we have the third fight and if you are not prepared well one punch from Wilder could knock anyone out and the rubber match will be the conclusion for this famed rivalry.

You know guys this fight is all about money, and not the real fight for who is stronger among them. Their first fight was a split draw, it is reasonable to have a 2nd fight or a rematch, but it was clear that wilder can't match Tyson since he lost that bout long ago in just round 7. Wilder is just trying hype the people, he keeps on trashtalking to trigger Tyson to fight him but I doubt there will be a fight from these two this year coz corona virus is on the surface, even the Olympics is set to delay due to the disease so we should be talking E-sports at the moment, it is more feasible to happen.

I'm not sure if you are watching the fights, they are fighting to prove who is stronger but they also like to make money at the same time, otherwise, they would not spend their time trying to train to prepare for the fight.

Their first fight was a split draw, it is reasonable to have a 2nd fight or a rematch, but it was clear that wilder can't match Tyson since he lost that bout long ago in just round 7. Wider doesn't need to trash talk to get a 3rd fight as it's already part of the contract in the last fight that he is entitled for a rematch.

They're not fighting for free. Boxing is like any other sport and money has ruined it. Sure, you're fighting for glory but it's mostly about the money these days and taking the biggest payday you can get. Imagine this, what fight do you think a boxer would take? Getting offered $250k to fight arguably the best boxer on the planet in their prime and possibly lose, or take the potentially easier money fight worth multiple millions? Obviously the biggest fights usually are with the best, but fighters usually go with the biggest paydays regardless of who they're fighting. There will be fighters who will want to fight people like Fury and McGregor purely because they know it's going to come with the biggest payday of their lives, even if they know they're no match for them. Heck, I'd even fight either of them for the money I'd likely get. I'd probably be knocked out with the first punch but I'd wake up with a lot of money in my bank account so I can't really blame them.

As Natalim said, Wilder doesn't need to do anything as it's a contractual obligation which he's not going to turn down because it's probably the last and only chance he'll get to win the belts back. It will be interesting to see what happens with the next fight if Tyson loses because he probably will want a rematch clause also so we could be set for yet another fight, though maybe they could agree on a no rematch clause to stop this, but I think Fury would be silly to do so just in case.

If Wilder of Fury wants to earn more money, it is better to wait when all the lockdowns are ended and go to China. There, they can make some crazy freak fight. Like Mayweather vs 20-year old kickboxer fight, where first earned $9kk in 2:12 min. First 1-2 combination and the kid is on the ground. Imagine fight Wilder in his shiny suits vs Bob Sapp or Hong-man Choi. This fight would bring million of dollars.

Why would they choose that country, I don't think they'll have a big fan based over their.. US boxers are usually fighting in the US because there's a lot of money in the US and they are just boxers, it's the promoter who will choose the venue, and it's been scheduled already, if it's postponed at least it will still be realized in the same venue.

Like I said, that depends on the promoter, Smiley

There are two reasons why China:

1) because they have a lot of money actually. Who would be able to pay. I’ve already showed an example. Who would spend $9kk on show fight that could possible be ended in 10 sec just with 2 punches?

2) they love to organize super matches. Wilder with his diamond helm entrance would 10000% suit the crowd. Fury is one hell of a Goliath to fight against. If they would organize Fury vs a midget or Fury vs Godzilla/Spiderman/whatever unreal character - without any doubt they would do that for any money. And not just to earn, but to see who is better Smiley

This was a fun fight to watch, but man did Fury kick his ass. Wilder looked slow and unstable during the entire fight. He simply looked completely outmatched.  Fight III will be fun to look forward to, but I’m mainly excited about it because they’re heavyweights. I don’t know about everyone else but I’m tried of the main events being little dudes like Mayweather. What ever happened to the days of the powerful/graceful heavyweight such as Tyson, Lewis, or Holyfield.  I think the UFC obviously has a partial plane in that, but seemingly boxing is losing some steam as well.

The lighter weight division fighters always showed pure classic boxing unlike the heavyweight division where one punch could end the fight and the main reason was there was not much entertaining fighters as the heavyweight division was ruled by the Klitschko brothers and they were not that entertaining and the promoters were not giving the fights the fans wanted and that is the reason UFC took advantage of that situation and they gave fans what they wanted by giving the fights what the fans wanted and so is the reason they are successful and it is good to see that boxing is following that steps by giving the fans some entertaining fights.

The fight you are talking about took place in Tokyo Japan and not China, these are completely different countries  Tongue. They gave millions of dollars for Mayweather to fight a much smaller kick boxer and the Japanese promoters are known to have these fantasy bouts as the audience see them as pro wrestling and i highly doubt that they were able to recover the money through tickets sales or PPV views. The best place for boxing is always the UK or US because of the high gates they can get than the rest of the countries.

Exactly, well sporting events in China is also big, but I doubt that it will get the massive money if the fight happen Stateside. All PPV records are all in the US, so I don't see the fight happening in China and making a lot of money. The best thing to do right now, is well, wait it out, take advantage of the lull specially for Wilder and prepare himself for his one last chance to get back his belt and redemption for him.

Obviously the biggest fights usually are with the best, but fighters usually go with the biggest paydays regardless of who they're fighting. There will be fighters who will want to fight people like Fury and McGregor purely because they know it's going to come with the biggest payday of their lives, even if they know they're no match for them.
The boxers always have the opportunity to fight anyone and they always do not take the toughest fights because they know they can make money even without taking the toughest opponents, the careers of Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua are prime examples and there is even a saying that Anthony Joshua can fill the Wembley Stadium even if he fights a bartender Cheesy.

Heck, I'd even fight either of them for the money I'd likely get. I'd probably be knocked out with the first punch but I'd wake up with a lot of money in my bank account so I can't really blame them.
I will not dare to fight them with any amount of money on offer because of the trauma and CTE affects that i will get and all those money will be spent in the hospital for my recovery  Cheesy.

No wonder every boxer in the world are dreaming to have its big fight in the US, especially the Asian or the Filipino like Manny Pacman, he got a successful debut in US and that's the start of this popularity, and so this one Casimero was scheduled to fight the Japanese but was cancelled due to the covid-19, with my example, I think they believe that selling the fight in the US would make a fight more profitable.

If Wilder of Fury wants to earn more money, it is better to wait when all the lockdowns are ended and go to China.
Why would they choose that country, I don't think they'll have a big fan based over their.

I don't remember any mega boxing fight being held in China and i think they are not passionate on this particular sport. So for me this would not sell well on that country. If only there is a boxer from China then i could say that Chinese money will flow into this sport just like basketball. When Yao Ming was drafted by the Rockets, that ball club suddenly got a huge fan base in Asia.

Maybe you mean Macau not China.

43 votes in the poll so far

35 vote for Fury
8 votes for Wilder

The majority here are still voting for a Fury win. It is very difficult to see another outcome except Fury winning and Wilder losing.

the most interesting part of this fight for me is how Wilder will return after a loss.

It's his last chance, if he will not work hard on figuring how to beat Fury, then we can't expect him to be champion again, he might retire afterwards, who knows. I still believe on Wilder, though people think he lose in bought fights, but I think only the fight number 2 was a pretty convincing loss of Wilder, we will be able to find out in fight number 3, but like I said, Wilder still has a good chance of winning here.

I wouldn't say it's his last chance, well to regain his belt at least. But he can continue to box again even if he losses in the trilogy. Might not be the same pay check though, as obviously he is no longer the champion. He can work his way up again, probably 2-3 years down to line and make himself the top contender again. For me, it is going to be more on the preparation of the mind more than his body. If in his mind says that he longer have it if he losses this fight, then maybe he will retire.
I do not know about that, Wilder is 34 years old already and if he loses against Fury in the next match there is a very high possibility that Fury will try to unify all the belts and fight against Joshua and if he's successful he is not going to get an opportunity to regain those belts in a very long time, would he be able to keep boxing at a high enough level and get paid way less money than what he has been paid during his career just to get an opportunity to become a champion again? That seems doubtful in my eyes.
