7521  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Recover blockchain.info wallet password - 0.5 BTC bounty on: September 30, 2018, 11:50:31 PM
I forgot my password, I do not have a 12-word phrase, but I know the password by 90%!
I got another purse while I was at Blokkchan. I'm trying to get a password for this method, known to me from a new wallet. Says the password was not found. What is the problem? Does this method no longer work?
If you don't have the 12-word phrase you will not be able to recover your account and it is hard to guess if what is the remaining 10% in your password.
You have a 10% chance to recover it by guessing the 10% password of your account.
I suggest you try every possible password that you use before in the history if this doesn't work there is no other way than using 12-word seed.
7522  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: antminer s9 login help on: September 30, 2018, 11:00:55 PM
Is there another password for SSH login, because I cannot logged in with admin on my s9?

If you are having difficulty logging in SSH and Browser just reset the miner and then use "Admin" or "admin" as username and "root" as password.

Anyway, if you don't know how to hard reset the miner you can follow the guide from here Three Ways to Restore Factory Settings (R4/S9/T9)
7523  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Crash on: September 29, 2018, 11:20:06 PM
If you heard that bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are dying or dead it just a theory and I heard this many times every year but until now bitcoin and cryptocurrencies still alive and kicking.

Which coin you are talking about that giving away on the twitter page? I think you are talking about ICO tokens and not a bitcoin? Most likely it's a bounty or twitter campaign who giving away free tokens or ICO.

twitter alive with people giving away coins etc, what are you doing with yours?

Selling Up

Holding On

For me, holding would be a good option than selling it to cut your loses but it depends on which coin you are trying to hold because new coins are the most likely scam so not a good idea to hold them for a long time except for bitcoin or any top 10 coins listed on CMC.
7524  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: A quick fix for antminer S9 missing/not showing hash-board ! no skills needed :D on: September 28, 2018, 11:47:01 PM
I do not think it has anything with the firmware being incompatible as it was running fine for a while in a passive state, nothing has been changed , the hashing board just gone missing for god knows why.

there is 0 hardware issues now and before , i seldom get any hw errors, temps never go pass 80c. the strange thing is, with this FW i seem to get a better hash rate on the pool side.

thanks for the link, my brother has some good knowledge regarding those programming case such as PICKIT 3 , so it may be a good idea to buy broken miners for very cheap and fix them to re-sell them or use them Cheesy.

Mostly, November firmware solved this issues, but sometimes doesn't work so your thread will be helpful to someone if they confused which firmware they should use. Never give up if you feel that the issue of the miner is just a software program, not a hardware issues. Because I experienced on fixing hardware directly without trying to flash it first and then it becomes broken and never solve the problem. So, do everything first in software like flashing it from old firmware to the latest firmware and flash control board with working firmware and now a new tool called PICKit 3 can solve some hashboard issue by flashing it with working hex file. Before you go to the hardware, do this 3 method first because you can save as much as many miners from being useless and revive your miner from being dead. It's the basic thing that we should do before touching any hardware because without knowing which part is broken or damaged the problem can be worst.

Why not buy some broken miners and fix them for study purposes (honestly, it's a bright idea) and software program is a common issue of the ASICminer. I heard some members doing this here on the forum and fixing damaged and broken ASICminer and resell them for a cheap price on eBay or resell them in our local marketplace here in the forum.
7525  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Convert BTC in Paypal EUR service on: September 28, 2018, 06:01:31 PM
You can try this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1757611.0 he is looking for bitcoin sellers to exchange his USD/EUR into bitcoin. The good thing here, you can pay less fee compared to Virwox with trusted forum members.

You can also, make your own thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 and make sure that you deal on trusted members only so that you're far to scammers.
7526  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to sell tokens when they are not yet listed on Coinmarketcap? on: September 28, 2018, 05:37:54 PM
The price in most cases is low in comparison with the price of ICO. Sometimes the same. I had a positive experience, I sold coins from airdrop and after listing on the exchange, the coins were twice cheaper.  Smiley
It's always happening that is why it's good to sell the bounty coin in too early before the coin listed in CMC because as soon as the coin listed on CMC expect for the token or coin becomes cheaper than the ICO sale price.

So, this method is really helpful for some bounty hunters out there they can use this to sell their coin in the early stage before the price dropped twice.

I hope that you would also add how to do it on Etherdelta because Etheredelta is much well-known exchange compared to Forkdelta and I'm just want to keep people safe.

Edit: Ow, your post is now clearer after I gave you merit.
7527  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: You can now safely buy and sell any item for bitcoin in a p2p marketplace on: September 27, 2018, 06:36:42 PM
This site is created last August 08, 2018 and the contact info is only state and country? No original location and the site owner looks anonymous, no more details given from whois which I think that the site is not safe.

He didn't even know the correct spelling of "Privacy Polity" it must be "Privacy Policy" I just made an archive just in case here https://web.archive.org/web/20180927181612/https://market.forra.io/

And I noticed that it only had 40 items in the marketplace. You must provide a local business location, contact number and prove that we can trust the site?
7528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MT-Gox CASE on: September 27, 2018, 05:16:01 PM
Nobuaki Kobayashi, the trustee Mt. Gox, confirmed via a statement that he had sold around $230 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) starting from March 7 2018.

So its seems that he slowly dumping Bitcoin at a average of $7500-$8000 (if my math is correct) and it has no significant effect whatsoever in the market right now as bitcoin is slowly climbing around the $6400-$6500.
This might be the reason why the price of bitcoin doesn't exceed more than $8k because there are days that the price of bitcoin suddenly drops without any bad news and I think when the bitcoin price dropped last sept. 6 from $7,400 to $6,200 I suspect that the huge amount of bitcoin sold to the market is from MT.Gox.
However, Bitcoin still survive at $6k value that I think there is a big group which continues to support at the $6k price.
I hope the case of MT.Gox will be over soon to improve the movement of the bitcoin price.
7529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AntRouter R1-LTC Wireless Bridge - Sharing Wifi to LAN port? on: September 27, 2018, 02:49:33 PM
You mean you want to make your AntRouter R1-LTC as a repeater to expand your wifi signal in your house?
Or are you talking about connecting your R1-LTC to wifi without a cable? I found a youtube guide where you can connect it without using ethernet cable just follow the guide from here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tat5o9uZHMI
7530  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Security tips for beginners on: September 27, 2018, 02:24:17 PM
How about adding 2fa authentication as another tip to secure their accounts and use antivirus that supports cryptocurrencies. If you have this both your account is secured and safe because I experienced before that my facebook account can be hacked if you don't have any antivirus protection your account can be compromised that is why I decided to use antivirus to prevent my computer become infected with viruses and keyloggers.
7531  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Show Extra Antminer S9 Controls Using Only CSS on: September 27, 2018, 01:57:48 PM
I think you don't need to download the stylus chrome extension to reveal the hidden features you can do it manually by following this guide https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2690140.0

But all matter is the control of the voltage! so where is it?

There's no voltage control if you do this method I think you can try to check this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4425212.0 and edit the set_miner_conf.cgi find the line with voltage then you can edit the value whatever you like.

Just curious - What does "Beeper Ringing" do?

According to some article about antminer s7 it's a beep sound so if you uncheck the "beeper ringing" it might remove the beep sound of the miner.
7532  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can u use any mobile app for bitcointalk? on: September 26, 2018, 07:19:31 PM
I'm not sure if you're joking but I think AFAICR means As Far As I Can Recall and not an username. Cheesy

I also remember this script. AFAIK it was a chrome extension (which is open source) and I remember taking a look at the code to confirm it was legit. I can't find it right now but I'll make sure to take a look later.
No, it's not a chrome extension it's a firefox extension for mobile or maybe you are talking about the old one from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=327238.0

Ow sorry, I thought it was a forum name Grin my mistake.
7533  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can u use any mobile app for bitcointalk? on: September 26, 2018, 06:26:23 PM
BitcoinTalk do not have any official mobile app or mobile version of the forum however there was a user (long ago AFAICR) did something (wrote a script) that allows mobile friendly version. If I find the topic then I will update this post with the link.

Warning: The script may harm your account since (so far I know) that no one validated it. I will encourage to do you own due diligence.
I did try looking for "AFAICR" here in the forum but I couldn't find him.

Anyway, I have found a thread which I think may help to improve your browsing experience using mobile but it only works on android devices.
You can check it from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4500633.0

Note: Like mdayonliner said be careful about using any 3rd party application your account might be at risk.
7534  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions if Bitcoin ETFs are approved on: September 25, 2018, 11:59:26 PM

We never know until things already happened, but in terms of price surely it will spike up after the approval, most expectators will begin to buy in when things shown positive, effects as investors will be more widely even new big whales will start playing buy and hold, those people who will accumulate and allow the price to pumped up are just waiting for the right timing after this decision.

Since there are many ETF's coming and another coming rejection the price will pump and dump and this crisis will not be going to stop until the ETF approves it. According to the SEC they need further improvements before SEC approves it. So, there's a chance for ETF to be approved in the future.

That is why there are big investors playing the market and keep investing every time the price drop and they don't let the price drop below $6k there is a strong support at $6k so, ETF will be approved, but we don't know when, if it happens I'm sure the price of bitcoin will burst increase and maybe the price will touch again back to $10k that is why many big investors keep buying before the SEC making decision.
7535  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: A quick fix for antminer S9 missing/not showing hash-board ! no skills needed :D on: September 25, 2018, 11:44:41 PM
I do not think flushing  bitmain own firmware voids the asic warranty by any means , i also do not think that a firmware will harm a good running board. but again DYOR and do whatever you want at your risk . good luck

Flashing default firmware from bitmain doesn't void any warranty it is allowed to flash it but except for customized or modified firmware.

And I think what happened to your antminer s9 doesn't work with firmware auto freq and I think the other firmware is incompatible that is why you get missing hashboard so auto freq firmware solved your issue.

So, there is no hardware issue in your s9. How about the hashrate and temp.?

Other solution for hashing board you can reflash the hashboard with "Pickit 3" you can find the idea from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5032987.0
7536  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycellium Emtropy Paper wallet generator on: September 23, 2018, 09:34:57 PM
Question:
What's the reason that Mycelium does not start to produce Entropy Paper wallet generator again?
I don't see any reason yet except for their slow development, the Mycelium developers are not too active these days.

There are few forum members here on the forum waiting for the next batch to release the new Mycelium Entropy wallet, but until now no news since 2015 from their twitter or from their website.
Take a look at this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3377247.0 and another thread from him https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3779717.0
This man is also looking for Entropy wallet so, if you want to buy this device try to contact bitkilo from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2398761.msg32030449#msg32030449
7537  Economy / Services / Re: Need a Gambling website! on: September 23, 2018, 08:45:09 PM
While searching I found this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4917447 and only offers a dice gambling script but you can try to contact the seller from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=560562 and ask him if they are offering more gambling games.
7538  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Error of set PIC FLASH ...? on: September 21, 2018, 11:43:44 PM
Where can I find the April firmware?

Have you tried to flash it with s9_fix_upgrade.tar.gz first before you flash it with other firmware? It might solve the issue.

But if it doesn't work you can try the april firmware just found it from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3474618.msg36124081#msg36124081

it's exactly the same problem as with my T9 +, see my subject;)

In your case, I am 99.9% sure that with the PicKit3 you bring back to life your card!

1: extract the HEX file from a functioning card
2: the reinjected into the card that does not work (FW 0X00)

Ps : the PicKit3, the cost is ~_ 25USD Wink

I agree with this I found his thread from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5032987.0 flashing the hashboard with working hex file might solve the issue.
7539  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: transaction fees for transfer of the change to new receiving address on: September 20, 2018, 10:03:58 PM
- will Mycellium ask how much I am ready to pay (transaction-fees) for such (internal move of BTC
funds to a new address)?
The transaction fee depends on transaction size sat./byte. If you are sending bitcoin to another bitcoin address in your HD wallet it will ask for a fee from low priority, Economic, normal and priority. Just choose priority to make your transaction faster and low priority if you are not in a hurry. Since you are just transferring your bitcoin into the same wallet the transaction fee doesn't matter.
7540  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum cannot connect to server on: September 20, 2018, 09:32:22 PM
This sometimes happens to me, but it's not a windows OS issue or malware. Changing DNS might solve your issue because it solved my Electrum connection issue.

Here is what I do, I change my DNS to OpenDNS "208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220" or Google DNS"8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4" this time after changing my DNS I open CMD and type "ipconfig /release" then "ipconfig /renew" after that open your electrum again.

You can also try to use a VPN to unblock or bypass any restricted connection.
