7581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: August 19, 2018, 08:31:02 AM
I've always got caught by deposit bonuses... Usually it starts with make deposit of atleast 15 euro, place a bet, and if it loses, we will compensate you your bet. Previous week play a lot with strategy "place bets on football score result almost a the end of period or game". Placing bets on 40+min and 85+min I have managet to get from 15 euro to 100 in like 2 hours  Cheesy
Bonuses are there to tempt players. Its because there are people who have the intrinsic urge to make money from nothing because they hate their jobs and they are poor. They would rather make money from gambling than work at all. So they fall whenever they see some tempting bonus on the casino and soon they get addicted to it.

Even if they try to stop it, it tough and they will always find themselves rolling away their coins one by one. Some people will get lucky but most wont. End of the day its the house that will make money.
7582  Other / Meta / Re: Account buy - sell should be ban officially on: August 18, 2018, 08:30:05 AM
You can't totally stop account selling and buying when multiple accounts are allowed and you can't disallow having multiple accounts too because the community advocates anonymity.
Forum rules allow account sales but it is discouraged. Simply because the account carries the value of the trades done and the social network that they have set up while in this forum. Someone may mistake that as their old pal while actually its a scammer in disguise who bought that account for scamming only.

Quote
Users has to create new accounts when they  promote something new.
As long as they confess which accounts they are owning as alt accounts in the user generated thread made just for this in "Reputation" they should be good. It would make everyone's lives easier then to tag them in case they end up with some wrong doing.

Quote
I think all the mods, staff and all other else including the DT members are going to just be busy spotting all these account sales and merit abusers.
You dont seems to have read the rules/OP's first post. Read what I wrote in the first line and the OP's post and the rules of this forum before you post again.
7583  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Role does Exchanges Play in Fighting Pump and Dump? on: August 18, 2018, 08:24:12 AM
If exchanges can help in preventing pumping groups from pumping and dumping cryptocurrency then it would be a wonderful thing, cause these groups are destroying coins for their own pocket benefits.  But also on the other hand, I have doubts that the exchange owners will want to do this, cause they too are benefiting from this through the withdrawal fees.
Exchanges dont care about pump and dump.

The trader has to take the decision whether the market is being moved by some group or if it is a healthy movement of bulls and bears. What you can do is join some Pump groups yourself and listen to what they are doing. Dont get involved because you would money if you follow their signals. Rather use them to the opposite advantage.

For example if the group is going buy! buy! then you will SELL. But it is not so easy because there are other people who are doing the same thing and so its risky as well.
7584  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom of BTC descending channel is 3000$? on: August 18, 2018, 08:16:21 AM
IF we went down to 3k and you'd be looking for similarities with 2015 there would be no space left for another year of bear market, simply because that would already be almost 90% drop in value, which was exactly what happened in 2015.
It wont happen, at least for now. The drop happened till 5995 USD and then umped back to buying pressure and now bitcoin is over 6.3k USD at the time of writing this post. Bulls are ready to buy back whenever the drop happens and happens significantly. Its not a surprise that people had buy orders set at 5.9 K USD mark and they got filled in at that time.

Quote
The difference is, BTC needed 2 years to reach that level and here it would happen in 9-10 months.
What also changed is the mainstreaming of crypto and crypto related topics. Almost every 1 out of 3 internet public are now talking about ICOs, bitcoin, ethereum and all. This was not the same in 2016.

Quote
IMO it would be not only too much of a dip but also too fast and for that to happen there would have to be a fundamental flaw. Pure market sentiment won't cut it.
Pure market sentiment would push it back everytime it went down. Simple observation. Smiley
7585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction mainly due to loneliness and dissatisfaction? on: August 18, 2018, 08:11:52 AM
A man who belong to a backward country can understand the situation better. people mostly addicted to gambling and drugs because they become disappointed in the society by finding job.
That means they have moral values and nobody taught them importance of moral values in life. If a person finds solace in drugs because of "poverty" in their country then they need to mend their ways. Life is tough for everyone. What might seem rosey red to you might not be so for another person. Even the person living in a high class society have their problems to deal with. So end of the day its all safe - what differs is how you tackle the situation and gambling is definitely not one of the methods to tide over it.

Quote
some people become addicted because of their company having such friends who are already addicted to gambling and they motive their friends for playing gambling.
That is a correct statement. Peer pressure can make a person sign up but it is their choice whether they want to play or not. So again its the moral values of life. Wink
7586  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for btc and I’m going to be honest... on: August 17, 2018, 01:20:24 PM
I have no collateral to give back. I got into crypto earlier this year because I’m interested in the future past just fiat and I liked the idea of bitcoin after researching. Due to emergencies I had to sell the little bit I had(and Litecoin) and now I’m a owner of ETC.
Then use that ETC as a collateral? Whatever amount you have can be used as a collateral.

Throughout my life I suffer from depression from various things. My looks being one of them. Rhinoplasty has been something I’ve been wanting to do for the longest as I feel it would help my self esteem and life in general. I have been to therapy and tried to not to let this become a fixture in my life but that hasn’t been the case due to ridicule.
This forum is not a place for posting your sob stories. Make a blog about it and a facebook page and you might actually be able to garner a group of nihillistic scum to follow you for that as well. Blog might actually get you some money because you seem to have a good grip of English as well. Just a thought. Wink

You are asking for a loan here and begging for 0.8 BTC for a "car"? Here?

So what is first? Rhinoplasty (maybe add septoplasty as well) or getting a car? Or just running away with people money?

7587  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom of BTC descending channel is 3000$? on: August 17, 2018, 12:51:23 PM
I used to follow magicpoop, I have to say he gets a lot of crap from other "traders" on his charts, but to be far during our rise in April/May I think it was, when everyone and their mother was saying "bear is over" he stuck to his guns and said it was not over yet, so fair play to him, his calls are good.
Be careful following any trader. Most of the trades posted there will be given after they have completed that trade so you wont actually be able to "Copy-trade" them. Rather you can analyse and try to find out why they did that trade or the motive behind the trade - whether it was for a short term gain or a long term hodl.

It is not important where the bottom is. When we will see a new ATH is more important.
Both of them are important. The ATL in a short period of time is the point where new traders are going to come in and fill the market. Then the ATH is the point where most people exit the market. Its important to watch the market cap during these times even though it is highly manipulated to get an idea of the amount of cash coming in or going out.
7588  Other / Meta / Re: Deserved or ass licking? on: August 17, 2018, 12:47:04 PM
For some reason my view was limited only to merits.
I lean towards " trust " more than merit in this situation. Even more if the situation where there are users who are abusing system by trading merit for acceptance in bounty campaigns is true.
Dont take trust or merit to draw a conclusion about any person of this community. The type of posts a person makes will earn them so merits but you never know who among them is going to con somebody in the long run. There will always be these people who ruin a community but doing something bad and then running away.

Both of the terms are subjective and your views may or not be same with others. Still what you believe is your to keep.I already explained in this thread previously what I thought about the topic being discussed. If you think its not a good thing to merit an ANN then its not. A second person may or may not agree. Sad
7589  Other / Meta / Re: What do you need merits for? on: August 17, 2018, 12:43:11 PM
In my case, i reallt want to rank up and enjoy some privileges of it.  Especially having an avatar!

Think of having a profile with a meme as an avatar!  Meme is life you know.  I really want to have a meme as my avatar hence I need to rank up, and ranking up needs merit.
Privilege it is. Make sure you use your privilege properly and not abuse it over time.

Of course you can disguise the "meme" as a mode of saying something new to forum. Then again most people in the forum don an avatar because of the signature campaign. Lets hope you are not among the "most" people of the forum.

I, and others, want merit for rank up. Bitcointalk is like a small social, or online game, the higher rank you are, the happier you have, it is the self-satisfaction when you're proud of yourself. High rank is like high level game character, you will be admired and respected.
"Small social game" - where did you get that from? Or is it another of the common made up words that you bounty spammers use in your day-to day lingo? Consider bitcointalk to a game, not a bad comparison. But in games its not the people around you who rank you up but you rank up yourself. So it was a game at one time but no longer.  Wink
7590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Five Reasons to Impact Bitcoin Prices on: August 16, 2018, 08:08:23 AM
Lot of things really impact bitcoin price and i agree with you that exchange website are the reason for the price drops. The sudden drop of bitcoin prices now is because no one buys bitcoin for a huge amount. All they want is to buy in low amount.
If you mean to say that buying low amounts of bitcoin makes the price drop then you are grossly mistaken. Whatever price or whatever amount they are bought at, will raise the price of the coin. It does not necessarily mean that every small buy order will move the market a lot but they have an effect cumulatively as people maintain a buying pressure. Seems like you have no idea how markets work and how trading bots pump and dump the prices.

Also I would not blame people for buying low amounts. One whole bitcoin is expensive for anybody coming newly into the market for whatever base currency rate we talk about.
7591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Really! Where is the fun at? on: August 16, 2018, 08:03:27 AM
And what about playing online games like LOL or Wow? This is online playing and having fun together. With online gambling the story is the same, you can sit in the close you wish, take a drink you like and totally chill. Isn't that fun?
For the gamers it might be fun because they are doing it professionally or as a hobby but mostly professional players are the ones betted on. Next they are competing and so they are having an adrenaline rush playing it as well. Its tough if you get under pressure but most players handle that.

But its not same for the gambler. Those who are betting on eSports know what they are doing and how each match is going to be fixed. Trust me all those eSports games are not fixed many end up with luck but most of the time they get fixed and both teams are paid to play.
7592  Economy / Services / Re: GIVING AWAY 1 BTC to the best advertiser(Contest)!!! on: August 15, 2018, 05:08:06 PM
I am ready for this as soon as you Escrow the amount with a reputed member here.

Forget it easy money maker dumbos.

The OP does not have anything at all. They are just posting BS with a huge reward allocation in order gather some views on his topic and hopefully swindle somebody in the process.

Either escrow the funds or GTFO.
7593  Other / Meta / Re: What do you need merits for? on: August 15, 2018, 09:02:36 AM
As far as I can see, system of merits here is some sort of reputation.
Shows you to be a perfect newbie in the forum who does not read stickies and older threads before making a new one. Welcome to the forum's Meta section.

Quote
It serves to distinguish experts in cryptography from inexperienced users, that is quite useful inside the forum, since we know how much we can trust a certain user.
Experts, LMAO. I got more than 100 merits earned and do I look like an expert in crypto/cryptography? Hell no.

Quote
And of course, merits can serve as a moral encouragement for the help given to others.
To some extent. It helps to recognize who makes good comments than those who shitpost to rank up.

Quote
And, consequently, they mean nothing if we got them in a different (undeserved) way. In addition, outside this website, these merits don't mean anything and can not be used at all. So, why do so many users try to get them from the very beginning of their registration, as if this is their main goal on the forum? It seemed to me that merits should be just a tool, not an ultimate purpose.
People need merits to rank up.

Quote
Numerous daily posts like "How to get merits", thousands of similar responses to posts only worsen the state of the community and do not do any good, but kill communication, don't they? Or, maybe, I've missed something?
You missed it totally since you created this thread which was pointless.
7594  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom of BTC descending channel is 3000$? on: August 15, 2018, 08:57:55 AM
I think so. It's probably the worst scenario to think of. That is the worst of them all but let's just pray for it not to happen. May God help bitcoin.
God? LOL
Only time will help bitcoin. If you are dumb enough to believe in people's made up rumors and FUD then you will also think that bitcoin is a shitcoin. While if you are experienced trader you would look into the 3-4year charts of bitcoin and make predictions on where the bear market might end. I was thinking it might touch 5k USD yesterday but seems like as soon as the 5990 USD figure touched there has been a buying run on bitcoin and the price is now +10% around 6.3k USD.

Dont listen to FUD makers dude. Listen to the market cap and the movements.

7595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want you to panic :-> on: August 15, 2018, 08:54:34 AM
There is no reason to sell coins at this time when market prices decline, I always hold the coin that I have as a long-term investment.
Mate, your long term hodling are for long term. Keep that in mind. You would never want to sell coins which you bought at 300$ to sell then at 250$. Hold them till they reach at least 500$ or even more since its long term. Its as simple as that.

I think so . So I will not sell what I have. I believe in this market. So even if I lose everything I will not sell and I will not regret my decision.
You should buy into the dip in case you are confident about certain coins than others. Missed ICO tokens that are dirt cheap at this point wont be so after a few weeks. In fact several tokens touched all time low this week and people are loading them up.
7596  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan 0.40btc for 3 months on: August 14, 2018, 04:59:38 PM
I did not appreciate it. I estimate between 5000-7000 €.
Lawyers are not necessary. I pay back my loan

Do you live in such a remote place of the world that there are no banks out there to mortgage your house for you loan? Moreover it is not your decision on how much its worth. It would be the job of the bank and bitcointalk is definitely not the place for that.

In the meantime of paying the loan while you are in debt - do you have any secondary residence to stay as well?

I keep wondering why people find this forum on the interent and no other place to ask for a loan using their house as a collateral.
7597  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: are you now afraid to save bitcoin until December 2018 on: August 14, 2018, 09:07:42 AM
they said this in order to make people panic and selling their bitcoin.if it can happen, they get advantages from this massive selling buying in lower price
Market manipulation happens but if people fall for every small bit of news then it cannot be helped. There are people who are panic sellers and they dont learn about crypto before investing in it. I have probably a million times to every panicky investor that they should learn a bit about crypto before stepping into it. Its not something to make them rich overnight and they volatility is high in the market specially during bull and bear markets.

We can teach people about not listening to FUD and prove it by the rise and fall cycle. Every bear run has been followed by a bull market and this is one no exception. There will be a bull run but people need to have patience.
7598  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any reason to day trade anything other than bitcoin? on: August 14, 2018, 08:56:36 AM
Well if people are making money with bitcoin's fluctuations then you basically can't tell them to stop. Fluctiations can be taken advantage of when you day trade that even bear markets can produce decent profit.
I dont see anything other than holding or buying the dip when you enter a bearish trend. Its the time to stock up and get ready for a bull market as people keep on making FUD comments in every social media. You can try placing order to test the resistance of the market and the market movement trend but in my opinion thats not necessary for those who are not trading professionally but as a hobby.

Of course it is, every other cryptocurrency around the stage is perspective to have this volatility that bitcooin has, so you basically can have your profit from all the different cryptocurrencies around.
Thats not totally true. If you enter altcoin trading you need to do extensive work on its history market and also the current price trend. If you can make money off trading it then its worth the risk though.
7599  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to Trading on: August 14, 2018, 08:52:39 AM
demand can also determine the value of cryptocurrency, it can be seen from the number of requests that can make prices soar high can also make a decline
Demand and supply are what determine the market metrics. As long as there is a demand on the market for a certain crypto the deflation will continue and its price will continue increasing. On the other hand money like USD and other fiat are being minted everyday without any capping and thus price of USD drops against bitcoin.

While the inherent demand fro crypto comes from the limited supply, there are a lot of things happening outside the market where people buy/sell using crypto and they dont really get analysed by coinmarketcap and others.
7600  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.5 BTC Loan For 3/4 Months on: August 13, 2018, 09:14:40 AM
And wtf does a valid collateral mean? 2 months ago if i had asked for the same loan and offered the collateral in xrp today it wouldve been 0.3 btc so whats your point exactly 😂

You would actually have a better chance getting a loan here if you select an altcoin from the Top 10 altcoins on coinmarketcap and those which the crypto community would recognize on a single mention. XRP would be a good one if you ask me. Also collateral needs to be 120% of the loan value and needs to be topped up in case the value drops below a certain level at which point the loan amount cannot be recovered by liquidating the collateral.

You might want to sell your Deviant tokens and get some other altcoin (like I said) to offer as collateral.  Wink
