And just today another use case in Japan
https://kaula.jp/category/news-en/

The initiative will retain record authenticity and tamper resistance to data processing of the Japanese social security system

Any comments from Factom side on this? Anyone from Japan around, how large this deal might be?

NDAs. Gotta love them!

Factom here, Factom there, Factom everywhere.

They confirmed there s NDA in this case or just in general NDAs?
762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC splits, what happens to my coins in my wallet? on: June 13, 2017, 06:44:56 AM
We have already seen this when Ether forked, now we have ETH and ETC. However, one is OK and the other one is AWESOME!

The same will happen with BTC. There will be one BTC and the other one will become an alt coin.
763  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: why is there no cloud-mining now? on: June 13, 2017, 06:41:24 AM
There is cloud mining, GM provides it, Hashflare provides it. Here is the link:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1579210.0

Whether you have enough skill to actually reach ROI, that s a separate question. I always prefer building my own rigs and using cloud mining alternatives, like PoS for example.

Here is another link for you for PoS:

Let me know if you need help, I ve been in crypto for a long time.

What is the best wallet to store factom?

I tried their enterprise wallet, but it is complex to use and I never got it working right. It is suppose to make it to the exodus wallet and some point. As of now I hear the paper wallet is the simplest wallet.

I really dont understand why do u say it s complex.

You install it.
You sync it.
You transfer Factoids.

How is that complex or different from any other wallet?

Actually Crazyivan with the legendary status  Wink...moving from only using exchanges to figuring out wallets for the first time can be a bit confusing for some of us. I am new to all of this and am in the process of learning about wallets. I too have found this to be intimidating at times. What is extremely simple for the seasoned is brand new to others.

There is pretty easy, step by step guide for Enterprise wallet  https://docs.factom.com/#run-enterprise-wallet
Stick wit the "Running Enterprise Wallet Online" option. In this case you don't have to download the blockchain.

I have read that the online wallet version has some problems and it's not equal safe as the local wallet. is that right?

Both wallets give the option to encrypt the wallet?

Many thanks for your help. I am newbie and a bit lost with all this. I just want to keep my coins safe out of Poloniex and Bittrex.

Thanks

There s no online wallet, both wallets can be used as cold storage. This online option is only for not downloading the entire blockchain, you use cloud stored one. Other then that, both versions re the same. None of them let s you encrypt the wallet. This is why I suggest using cold storage only, an offline machine or paperwallet.
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a mess. ETH is a freight train. on: June 12, 2017, 06:51:44 AM
Very nice attempt to pump a coin which, I m sure you ve got a lot.

Yes, I agree, ETH s growing strong and I would support what you say apart from 2 important reasons.

First, UNLIMITED number of coins. Huh, that one is a problem. Scarcity s something which is very important in the investment world. Gold s pricey cause it s hard to get and it is NOT unlimited. The same is with diamonds, the same is with BTC. Unlimited is something I do not like to see when dealing with crypto.

Second, a few large holders including Vitalik having millions of ETH. Some of them re know of dumping large amounts when they feel like dumping.

All in all, I d suggest differentiating your portfolio and not forgetting to include ETH. However saying BTC s a mess and should be left out ON A DAY IT SURPASSED $3000 per coin?Huh? Nah, that s not how I d classify things in crypto.
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | Hybrid Security | 25% PoS on: June 12, 2017, 06:36:48 AM
This is my post number 6000 here on Bitcointalk and I d like to devote it to my favorite DMD Diamond and its community.

Guys,

we re growing stronger day after day and I have no doubt this we will not give up until DMD Diamond grows into a very profitable long term source of income for its community. There re several interesting projects in the pipeline, you ll get more info soon since whitepaper s undergoing its final polishing. About a year ago, some trolls came here and lauged at us when we offered forecast $1 per DMD. Look where we re now. Where will we be next year this time?

Stay safe, protect your portfolio and let us build this together.

Cheers!
768  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to make serious money by investing into Proof-of-stake – PoS on: June 11, 2017, 12:46:15 PM
There is another nice option to win 10k DMD masternode, by winning DMD lottery.

769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long will the big crypto rise last? What will happen to us after that? on: June 11, 2017, 05:03:29 AM
It can go on like this for years, with some dumps in between. Crypto s still uncharted territory and not even 0.1% of the population and investors are into it. Lots of space to grow, would not be worried about it.
770  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cashing out large amounts of bitcoins? on: June 11, 2017, 04:59:16 AM
How would you explain to your bank or your tax administration where does the money come from? In lots of countries, there re strong AML laws where people start asking lots of questions in order to make sure your money did not come from illegal sources.
771  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to starting mining with giga-watt and possibly more.. on: June 11, 2017, 04:55:03 AM
It all comes down to a single question, can you choose what you ll be mining with gigawatt option?

Cause if it s Etherum only, in 3 months time, the difficulty ll be through the roof you ll need to be able to switch to something else. ATM, it more then doubles each month which means in 3 months, you ll need 4 weeks to mine 1 Etherum with a standard 4 GPU 480x rig.

In other for you to stay profitable mining it, Ether should be $1000 in 3 months which is possible but highly unlikely.

Mining anything else which already s got ASIC chips in the game is pointless. All in all, we need another strong coin to mine like Ether or Zcash. When I say strong, I mean large enough to be able to accommodate millions of GPUs and reduce diff on other coins.
772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scary tweet I've just read! on: June 10, 2017, 07:07:17 PM
I had huge respect for this guy but know I see he s just another money hungry piece of shit simply trying to push his own product no matter what it costs.

This is why I love BTC and its decentralisation. If you go with centralised projects, there s always some asshole like this guy trying to profit from it.
773  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any body know the owner of coinmarketcap.com?please help me!! on: June 10, 2017, 07:02:50 PM
Why would you use such an extension? Why?

Is it really that hard to simply copy the address you want to use?

Sorry for this issue bud, hope you get your BTC back.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ways are there to earn bitcoins? on: June 10, 2017, 07:24:16 AM
DMD Diamond PoS, absolutely the best way I can recommend to earn some crypto.
I ve been into crypto for a long, long time and nothing has been so constant in bringing me profits as this one.

775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: WALLET.DAT or SEEDS - What is the safest on: June 10, 2017, 07:22:49 AM
I do also go with seed combined with 2fa and possibly locked withdrawal address.
776  Economy / Securities / Re: First time investment on: June 10, 2017, 07:21:38 AM
Definitely invest into crypto, this industry s the future.

Where should you start?

Well, they this one:

This is something I can definitely recommend.
777  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: June 10, 2017, 07:18:31 AM
Really great program and very simple to use. After they add Factom and up their security option, it might become preferable choice for most of users.
However 2FA and withdrawal lock address is a must have, the second option is not that hard to implement so I d suggest Exodus to do so.

Sorry bud, it was not my intention to insult you in any way. Let us know what exactly is a problem for you and I ll try to help you out.

For now, you need to go the this link https://docs.factom.com/#run-enterprise-wallet-locally and read how to install enterprise wallet. Then go here, https://github.com/FactomProject/distribution find a download link for Enterprise wallet for Windows 64 or Mac, depending what you use, download it and install it. It s an .exe file. Once you do, I suggest you use cloud node, on that first link there is subtitle "run enterprise wallet online" follow that one to synchronise your wallet to a 100%. There is another option to download Factom chain but it s more complicated so go with the simple option. Once you do that and your wallet syncs to 100%, you re done. All you need to do is to send your tokens to the wallet.

Hope this helps.

Thx guys, I appreciate it.

After all, this is all joint effort, DMD Diamond grows, we all benefit from that.

Do we have a chance at 0.001 BTC?
