Simple and easy. Getting 82C on an overclocked Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 in an enviorment with ambient temperature of 30C. (Our A/C is currently out, I expect core temperatures at least 15C colder once it's running again)

Hmm I'll definitely keep it in mind! Ill wait around for any better offers for now since I don't have much BTC to spend until a week or two from now anyways .
I can also offer for trade some OEM Windows 7 Ultimate serials, I believe I have one unused one remaining, or videogame gift codes that came with my Saphire 7950. (Far Cry, Bioshock infinite and Crysis 3) I give first if you're a trusted member.

I read the title as "Open Rig vs Cat" Rather makes sense. Keep fuzzy animals away from open rigs.

You gotta list your price mate, including shipping to 33314.

Tempting, but I don't have that kind of money right now. I'm only a student. I've found one with HDD/OS and original PCMCIA ethernet cards for 25 on craigslist before. (That's the one that was stolen)

Autologin is enabled in CentOS 6.4 like this.
Open the /etc/gdm/custom.conf file as root and add the following two lines under the [daemon] tag:
[daemon] AutomaticLoginEnable=true AutomaticLogin=your_autologin_username
The login username is case sensitive, I was stuck on this for a while. But I figured it out now.
Then, to get CGminer to detect your card with ADL working, run this.
export DISPLAY=:0 xhost +
I have it all in a script, so it should be no problem.
Just in case if it's useful for anyone.

That's actually decent.

I see. Thank you for the precise answer!

Hi. I have a question.
When I reboot my mining PC, and SSH to it, if I attempt to use OpenCL on it's ATI HD 7950, It doesn't work until I log-in from the GUI. It can't find any OpenCL devices.
Any idea on how to correct this problem?
Ideally I'd like to be able to remove the GUI and run it as a headless server.
Thanks.

This isn't a stupid question. The guy didn't know how much heat the CPU actually produced when not in heavy use.
Anyways, yes you will still need a fan and heatsink. It doesn't have to be a good one. This is because although the CPU is not being heavily used, it still is on, and as long as it is on, it will continue to produce heat, just not a lot. Enough to burn the CPU if left without a heatsink for too long.

Yall's stuff too new. Please list your prices, though. How much for the P3? I might be interested.

Hi. I used to have a Dell XPI Pentium 1 90MHz and 32MB of ram, but it was stolen from me by some idiot right on the day I got the oh-so-nostalgic Windows 98SE running on it. This was a while ago. Just wondering if anyone on the forums has a similar old laptop, because I'd like to buy one. Just for old times sake. Typically anything with Pentium 1 or Pentium 2, or that uses EDO Ram or SD Ram (PC100). HDD isn't necesarry, and viruses or horribly slow OS doesn't matter either. (Duh ) ~Re Edit: I can also offer for trade, some OEM windows serials, or videogame gift codes that came with my Saphire 7950. (Far Cry, Bioshock infinite and Crysis 3) I give first if you're a trusted member.

Alright then. Good luck with selling it. We sure do need a bitspend alternative, for whenever they are all slowpoke mode. x.x

Im really curious on what you use to make these cases. I'd like to make my own.

Don't be surprised if this bot is running a specifically unoptimized algorithm to decide how to trade, which in turn leads to more profitability for the creator. Never trust bots that aren't programmed by yourself. The only bot that can truly be on your side is one you've written from absolute scratch.
The code is open source. Anyone can check the code to see if there's any weird stuff going on. I know. I'm not saying that it's sabotaged, I'm saying that it's probably an inferior version of what the creator privately uses for himself. The trading deciding algorithm can be unoptimized, or optimized. Both being legitimate trading algorithms, but one resulting in a less favorable result than the other. Resulting in scenarios that are easily exploitable by the optimized trader. I'm a programmer myself, so I know this to be a possibility, which is why I don't trust it. If you can understand the code it's best to go out and create your own private trader.

Can I ask why you are selling it? Is it personal or life issues? Because I loved the way you were running it.

Agh, your pictures are forcing me to tilt my head sideways.

Great. Now GPU miners will be completely obsoleted. Way to go.
