I would respect the opinion of a trusted member of your choice that doesn't mind to read all the rules you have stated, and the winner pay a tip for his precious time. Or I like this coin thing, in any digital version. I respect the fate also ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I have read all the rules, both as they were freshly published, and again just now. My opinion is that the clear intent was to end the auction exactly at 12:00 BST, but that pesky little word was not affirmatively included. I think that all other parties also perceive the same intent. The only question that I think is open are these: what was the time, and how do we know? I think the problem exists because the forum time is not correct, something jadatkins did not have control over. As auctioneer, he has authority to take extraordinary measure to fix problems. I recommend to recreate the situation that the auction will end within seconds and there is only time to make one final bid: Reset the auction to BTC 155 with michelet winning. Open the bidding to the two of them, and limit them to 1 final bid per person. The auction is over when Jadatkins makes a post saying that it is. Announce approximately how much time you will give. The unit has made it to London. Remove the option to back out of any newly made bid. You are known only for your ridiculously complicated auctions that took 70 posts, literally to try and explain. And 2 reposts, and even then people didn't get it - this is not your auction. This was a simple auction, we bid, its closed. The auction timer closed at BST midday - 01 July 2013, 12:00:00 according to forum time. Why would there by any other source of time that could vary significantly between people? My desktop clock probably isn't synced to yours, which isn't synced to the next person. Why would we use that as a source of time? The forum time is the ONLY one which is synced by default, and creates an indisputable time stamp. There is no problem here.

You can't sell out of a preorder. He closed the ship to upgrade it first. The easiest way to do that is to set everything to OoS.

I don't think Foxconn would ever deal with them, the worker suicide rate would be 500x higher.
I lol'd, does that make me a bad person? ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) If they had Josh as a guest plant manager, it would be like lemmings off the rooftops! (OK I am a bad person ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ) "MAKE MY UNITS" *all the units explode due to 4x power consumption* "MAKE MY UNITS AGAIN" "with what, we dont have boards, designs or chips" "MAKE MY UNITS"

yeah so he isnt/hasnt/wont respond so game over with this guy. leaving negative feedback
He is aware of the thread, hence leaving me negative feedback. Can we move to scammer tag please?

Why does a 1chip version weight 33% more than a 2 chip version?
|
|
|
Its a good idea but... the chances of ever getting the unit back are low. You don't know who it is, you don't have any evidence, you don't know where they are, you don't know where the unit is, you don't even know which is your unit.
That is a lot of money for people leave in escrow in the hope you will have a unit.
|
|
|
Anyway... 2 units were sold via this thread to the two highest bidders. Locking thread, will open a new one for the next units.

As always, be vigilant. Buying a preorder without escrow is risky.

So, Dogie and and dogjunior are having a conversation? You are grasping at straws because the real numbers don't add up. Hey look, a vague article written over here has some pumped up numbers from some fake ebay auctions. Lets use that instead of actual calculations. You have great business model. Better than yours xD Hai Im Milly, Milly Bitcoin that is.

What is the price right now?
36-40 depending on location. No other hardware is competing at this price, nor are USBs.

BTC25? I'm in!
Not for 25, and neither was he ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Troll logic isn't logic. ... Any more crying and those avalons will short.
You are a goofy teenager trying to rip people off and then you throw temper tantrums when people show you real numbers. I would not do business with you. You have to be a teenager to be a teen, I am old. No one but you is throwing your toys about because you can't scam people into selling your hardware at 40% market value. Boohoo I'm allowing the free market to value hardware, I'm such a terrible person! Please save me! You don't need to worry about people doing business with you, at those prices even the scammers wouldn't LOL. Right, you have no numbers. You are hyping numbers from weeks ago when the difficulty was lower which the hopes of tricking people into overpaying. So the market value fell from 220 to 85 because of a 10% difficulty increase. All the other people currently selling units are also 250% overpriced aren't they. Keep QQing. People lie, numbers do not. There was almost a 100% increase in the difficulty in just over a month. You extrapolate the average increase every 2 weeks and calculate the return. subtract out the costs of electric, ventilation, etc. Some systems may break, your electricity goes out, etc. so there is risk and not units will run 100% all the time. There is no way you come up with anything close to 200. If you don't want to bother with that just go over to the Avalon refund threat where several people want 77 BTC instead of an Avalon in a couple weeks (Of course they are running late so there is added risk there) but there is no way you go from 200+ now to less than 77 in a couple weeks. Some people are just trying to take advantage of others who do not realize how fast these things depreciate. In fact another day has gone by so subtract another 1.5 BTC and another 1.5 BTC for each day in delay of delivery until the next adjustment. If you any actual calculation for how you can get 200BTC back from an Avalon you get delivered today within a reasonable amount of time then lets see it and I might take a few. No one cares what you think, bye.

...First mover advantage is a big one. But there's no barrier to entry. I am making money mining right now. Maybe not much...
And when he makes the market 10x the size? You now earn 10% what you did, and you'll never, ever pay back the costs of buying hardware when you didn't manufacture it.
