SEC approval are those only countries that has approved and regulated crypto under their jurisdiction.

SEC is for the US, and US only afaik. Which countries needs to register to SEC if they want to open a public/private offering?

For now, only few countries are running crypto projects and registered under SEC for most of the team bringing projecta are afraid to get jailed due to the fact that running a crowd project is not easy. All the blame will goes to the team if project will not grow.

Which one? Looks interesting to learn.
7742  Other / Off-topic / Re: [GUIDE]TWIENDS.COM - get countless followers on Twitter (for Beginners). on: May 09, 2019, 04:05:48 AM
I advise you to read the first post carefully because everything is described there in details.

Seems like your thread were attacked by spammers who need to increase their post count, and they don't even read the OP.

IMO its better to have a few twitter followers who are interested in what you tweet rather than thousands of people / bot accounts who ignore your tweets

Looks like this guy is one of Yobit sig participant who spams on this forum and he got banned. No need to reply to them, dude. It's a waste of time.
7743  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to create a MN/POS coin? on: May 09, 2019, 03:54:08 AM
i am not gonna open any retard project i wanted to learn just

Just ignore post like that. You don't have to repeatedly state what you wanted to do as most people won't read it. Seems like there are several tips up there already, maybe it's time to start your learning journey. Don't forget to learn about programming too as it is impossible to know the know-how of cryptocurrency by typing online guide on your command prompt.
7744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Posters - Read before composing and publishing your posts on: May 09, 2019, 03:44:52 AM
I've been reading bitcointalk offline (or rather without having logged in) for a while now.  Some people seem to just stay logged in which I feel isn't a good idea when it comes to hacking.

It depends on the context too. If you use a personal device that never leaves your place, it might be okay to use forever logged in feature or something similar. On top of that, you need to log in if you want to post a reply which most people do here.

It's just a matter of style imo. Anyway, as long as they can post constructive post, we don't really care how you do it (logging in when you need to post or stay logged in forever).
7745  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [INFO][GUIDE] Waktunya menggunakan SegWit address/wallet on: May 09, 2019, 03:27:11 AM
mohon penjelasannya cara bikin custom segwit awalan 3

7746  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Binance Terhack dan kehilangan 7rb Bitcoin on: May 09, 2019, 03:21:17 AM

Cheesy

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Safu

Ternyata ane kudet.

Quote
Secure Asset Fund for Users (SAFU)

“To protect the future interests of all users, Binance will create a Secure Asset Fund for Users (SAFU). Starting from 2018/07/14, we will allocate 10% of all trading fees received into SAFU to offer protection to our users and their funds in extreme cases. This fund will be stored in a separate cold wallet."
https://www.binance.vision/glossary/secure-asset-fund-for-users

Cuma masalahnya:

7747  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [Info] Data Estimasi, Sirkulasi BTC & Reward Mining BTC yang masih tersisa on: May 09, 2019, 02:25:24 AM

7748  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Apakah mungkin suatu saat nanti bitcoin menjadi tidak berharga [dead coin] ? on: May 09, 2019, 01:44:39 AM

7749  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wrong Bitcoin Core private key on: May 08, 2019, 03:29:28 PM
Are you saying that you're supposed to receive a private key from someone to control an address?

If yes, what's the format of the address that you're supposed to own? Does it start with 1, 3 or bc1?
Either you were given a wrong private (intentionally or not) or you made a mistake when importing the private key.

BTW, never ever use an address which private key is known to somebody else. You can lose your funds easily.

Unfortunately some "mentions" on social media doesn't prove the legitimacy of a project. Especially when it comes from a new created account... Roll Eyes

Correct, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not worth to look further. I just want to know why the almighty Justin Sun talk about this exchange Cheesy

BitAsset was established since 2017 and is a Global exchange that is stong in the Asian community.
Now expanding to other regions.

I live in Asia and never heard about you (been involved in crypto since 2017 too). Maybe you're offering your services only to Chinese/South Korean/Japanese users?

Your article is a press release, I'd rather read detailed info about the team instead.

Btw what is this now? You will buy LEO on behalf of your users? You sure that's legally allowed?

7752  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance hacked AND proven to be wash trading on: May 08, 2019, 02:58:16 PM
Prixbit has a big amount of trading competition. And it has $400K prize. I think it may be a great opportunity. In the beginning, the volume will be less and we can get a profit there.

You can't determine whether an exchange is good or not from their trading competition. Look for their policies, their response to customer support, where are they based, whether the team is known or not and so on.

Those trading prices are just a way to attract new user that will surely (or 90%) leave the platform when they've collected the prize.
7753  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance just lost 7000 BTC in a security breach on: May 08, 2019, 10:20:49 AM
No problem if Justin Sung wants to donate his bitcoin to binance and he wants to buy BNB, BTC, TRX, BTT to support binance.

How does buying TRX and BTT equals supporting Binance in time of crisis? That looks like Justin is pumping his own project tbh.

There's no need to help Binance, they are rich (or at least they told us like that). But I still don't get why CZ consider block re-org to fix his problems. Sounds like he's trying to control what miners do. Fortunately that didn't happen and there's no more drama.

I've never had a fav. team in EPL but tonight Liverpool won me over. Not only from the stands but also from the pitch, sweet baby jesus what heart they showed tonight. Happy for the lfc fans in here Smiley

They played good enough on the first leg, so it's not really surprising for me to see how they beat Barca 4-0. Cheesy
Liverpool is really famous for a night like this, don't know why but the atmosphere is really dramatic. I believe that's what makes the player played the way they did last night.

Poor Barca.
7755  Economy / Economics / Re: Joseph Stiglitz: ‘We should shut down the cryptocurrencies’ on: May 08, 2019, 07:34:13 AM
I understand where his words are coming from, but i think he’s more focus on the disadvantage of using the technology. Once the industry fully regulated and apply it to different businesses and transactions then growth is inevitable.

That will only come true if the majority of the people realize that fiat is not entirely sound. Before that happens, crypto might easily be replaced with digital cash backed by fiat. I think we're still far away from that point, and I'm sure it needs a lot of education, and probably will take years before people lifestyle change. I think in the near future we'd see crypto being used more as a store of value or speculative investment except for a few projects that have a real use case and demands where users need to buy/use/stake their tokens/coins to use the services.

Apakah sebanding?

I do not view it as appropriate for trust ratings to relate primarily to non-trust matters.

- It is absolutely not appropriate to give someone negative trust because you disagree with them. I'm disappointed in the reaction to this post. Although H8bussesNbicycles is perhaps not particularly trustworthy for other reasons, the reasons many people gave for neg-trusting him are inappropriate. You can argue that what he's advocating is bad on a utilitarian level, but he would disagree, and his advocacy of a certain Trust philosophy doesn't by itself mean that he's an untrustworthy person. DT selection is meant to be affected by user lists, and it is totally legitimate to try to honestly convince other (real) people to use a list more in-line with your views.

I'm not going to blacklist people from DT selection due to not following my views, since a big point of this new system is to get me less involved, but if a culture somewhat compatible with my views does not eventually develop, then I will consider this more freeform DT selection to be a failure, and I'll probably get rid of it in favor of enforcing custom trust lists.

Referensi:

- Giving negative trust for merit trading and deceptive alt-account use may be appropriate, but you should use a light touch so that people don't feel paranoid.

7758  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Mohon Bantuannya, Skripsi Perihal Bitcoin on: May 08, 2019, 05:51:40 AM

There is a huge bot army spreading fake-FOMO about XRP and they got busted recently. xD

Very true. Use #XRP in one of your tweets and you'll likely get retweeted by XRP bot. I still don't understand who run this bot army or why they should even do that if XRP is the best. They no longer need shilling like ICO/IEO out there, almost listed on every exchange out there. Should've done better if they focus marketing XRP to future clients instead of traders and moonboys. Way more productive.

7760  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Don't download any Electrum software if asked, if it's a version below 3.3.3 on: May 07, 2019, 06:58:52 AM
I would always have all my wallet files in an offline laptop. I have used Electrum 3.3.2 but didn't encounter any issues like this except once before.

That's probably because you use auto server selection and at that time got connected to a malicious server. You should not be able to use old version of Electrum older than 3.3.3 anymore as most server stop supporting them to prevent this phishing attack.
