781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 16, 2023, 06:05:14 PM
The Lakers are coming from a back-to-back game and are 19-23 against the spread. so I do not think it is good idea to bet on that line.

Ya, but the Rockets are tanking on purpose while the Lakers are desperate to try and stay in position for a playoff spot.  I think they should be able to win today.  By how much, who knows...
Lakers only mission is to get to playoffs and that's the only goal that I can see for them achieving, coz the other teams that will get to playoffs are just better team than them. Man I literally count how many passes that Lebron made earlier that Bryant wasn't able to catch under the rim. SMH.

Do you think the tanking of rockets is worth?

Then we've got a little more excitement in the later game on TNT between the Grizzlies and Suns.  Always great getting a chance to see Ja Morant on tv.  He's got the most bounce of any player I've ever seen.  With the Suns still missing Booker, the Grizzlies may take home the W.
Man Ja is just something else, this dude be dunking over guys. Not to mentioned this guys entered the  NBA few years ago, and he made 30 posters but the thing is he can't finish them all HAHA!

783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 16, 2023, 08:53:45 AM
I think the Nuggets will be the next team to enter the NBA finals if they will remain healthy throughout the season, they cannot spoil this one because such kinds of season performances cannot be assumed to be the same next year, they really need to do something this year to stop their traditional playoff knockouts.

They could, but so the other teams in the west. There are lots of strong teams right now in the west it is hard to predict who will win the WCF. They have the right roster though and with luck they might get to the finals. We will see, we will see what happens after the trade deadline since some teams get boosted with a good trade during that time. Maybe the Nuggets can still get a good trade and boost their roster to win the WCF.
Seeing Denver having a hard game with Orlando magic makes me think that maybe they are just another team to choke during playoffs, worse if they choke on finals. Imagine if Jokic missed the winning 3-pointer earlier, Orlando will have the momentum to regain the lead and will win the game for sure. Another thing is there's no really a superstar in Orlando, they are being carried by a rookie Banchero. It's just a 3 point lead for denver with that crucial game, over a team with just a soon to be superstar rookie.

Now my suspicion from you just got stronger. My man, you're not a rookie campaign manager you should have known that for how many  years you've been around here. I tried to apply to your campaign, just minutes after I applied it went FULL. I was thinking if you really scanned the profiles of your SELECTED PARTICIPANTS. As I see it, it's full of unfamiliar usernames, don't get me wrong we're thousands here I may not be as active poster but I am an active reader so I know. Then I found out there were revived accounts, unqualified ones, and suspicious accounts. I knew it was something that uncertain, and this just happen.

I was thinking if I'm gonna post about you earlier coz I don't wanna judge, then this happened. You got 2 things you need to explain now.  Huh

789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Digital dollar a threat to Bitcoin ? on: January 09, 2023, 11:53:15 AM
In my opinion, both are entirely different, so they cannot threaten each other, using CBDC is no different than you are using fiat. In a sense, CBDC is a digital version of fiat and if we cannot compare fiat to bitcoin then CBDC is similar.
Not entirely technically coz fiat like any other currency powers the bitcoin. How would you think any cryotpcurrencies would raise their value without any external force to power it up? What I think should be more appropriate to call any currency is competitor rather than being a threat coz basically there won't be any digital currency without any fiat back up. I agree, on this case bitcoin is merely an investment to people, not even a currency thought of a thing.

I agree with pooya87's point: digital dollars have been around for a long time, and we have been using them for a long time, so it would not be correct to say that it is a threat or will compete with bitcoin. Bitcoin is not just a currency, it is an asset and an investment, so to speak, there is no such thing as a government-created asset class to compete with bitcoin.
Uhmm I don't think so. As you said Bitcoin is an asset and investment, there are lot to compete with being these two.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a lone Sports Bettor or a Team Sports Bettor? on: January 05, 2023, 02:22:45 PM
A lone sports bettor, in my opinion, is someone who does not rely on another person to interpret the odds and advise them which sporting event to wager on. Before placing a bet, the lone gambler conducts his own study and analysis.
Even a so-called lone bettor will look at other opinions to validate his predictions, its part of the analysis in sports betting checking if he overlooks something and needs to double-check or re-analyze
I agree. If you are a lone bettor you should always check things first before betting, there are many factors in sports especially during tournaments. Like who are going to play for team A, or who are not going to play for team B. Who are not playing because of injuries. Who are not playing because of sickness. These are the kind of factors that affect your betting, while you can check these things on your own there will be some people, same bettor on the same sports or game that you might want to also check beforehand.

Well for me I'm kind of like an analyzer bettor, I check stats, standings, players, history, etc. before I bet.

791  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Banking is more reliable and faster on: January 04, 2023, 03:35:10 PM
I can boldly say that Bitcoin Banking is more reliable and fast because Bitcoin transactions is been done through wallet, the only problem that may occur is if the wallet is not correct another challenge is if the transaction is been encountered with down network but this is in rare cases.
I find it very contradicting. I want you to know first the meaning of 'Reliable' and 'Volatile', coz what is something volatile cannot be reliable. Volatility comes with a risk, and you can't be sure if there's a risk on anything. While we praise bitcoin as fast, fungible, and secured, there's this fiat that pops up everywhere when banks want it that all of us needs to have for the system they have built on a shallow soil. Bitcoin has a use, but not for primary utility.

You can't rely on bitcoin when you want to feed yourself.

793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 19, 2022, 12:54:15 PM
Argentina won its 3rd World Cup title. Messi won his first World Cup title after a long struggle and under pressure. There's been a lot of pressure on him so far because everyone expected him to do that for his country, there's been ups and downs and some sad stories until he finally manages to give that gift to the people and fans of Argentina. So congratulations to Argentina and Messi, the dream is now real.
I think we are the ones who have pressured Messi, I mean without him knowing we expected him to do so much for the team when in fact they are 20 there running trying to get a good play and score. He has his country on his back, everyone of them was but he was leading it all the way. It was a hell of a journey for Messi winning that world cup, his final year will be so memorable indeed. What a great ending for him. I was thinking if it was Ronaldo that qualified for the finals, it won't be hard for France to beat them, I mean Ronaldo wasn't the same after the tragic trauma he's got after a baby loss.

794  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and crypto and stock is bs, but property is real on: December 19, 2022, 11:44:14 AM
What a call!

You call it BS but you have it, I mean it is in some ways but these days you may use it to get a property especially fiat lol

Property investing may sound too good for everyone but it also depends, you can't just buy and sell a property when you want to make it liquid. If you gain millions from crypto you would not have the urge to call it BS, or stocks or have any business. You call the property investment more of a real thing when you can't mention its cons, probably because you are blinded by the promo ads by it. I know its value is appreciating but you can't eat it when you're hungry and there's a McDonald's across the road.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is your local game includes in online casino ? on: December 15, 2022, 01:32:55 PM
Local games are rarely included in casinos, they are usually filled with the games that are commonly run in mainstream sports channels and are well known globally. Instead if you are into gambling on local games, this can be done inside the location by a bookie - or in other other words physically. Again local laws on gambling will start to be applicable here. A good example is how the hen-fighting games happen.
I think they don't include local games to online casino due to its integrity. I believe it can be easily rigged as players doesn't have any image or a career to be taken care of, they can be easily rigged and bribe. And even the popular ones won't be in online casino if there is an issue like the game/player integrity due to past reviews. I think every casino has a connection or reporting quarters where they tag games/players that may be involved in illegal acts like game fixing. I've been betting in Dota2 and many sports, local games are only limited.

Just want to correct you mate, it's not hen fighting. You cannot have a hen fighting to a rooster, I know it sounds so sexist but it can't be. It's cockfighting, now think why they call it that way haha.
796  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla’s stock prices dropping fast on: December 15, 2022, 01:17:57 PM
Tesla is still highly overvalued for a small car manufacturer. It doesn't make sense to be worth more than many large and experienced car manufacturers.
Well that is mainly because of over-enthusiasm investors for Tesla. We know how Elon Mush behaved for the past years back riding the trends on every platform. Becoming overvalued stock makes the tesla a good and bad security, though it is expected to have a farther 'potential' fall it is fine to buy more with slight to medium caution coz Elon founded it in a gen Z manner. Tesla will stay at top for Car manufacturers stock prices, but not with earnings, there's a ratio in relation with these two. I've got to be honest, tesla is looking good for the next 5 years, its just Elon that making of a hell of unpredicted stuff these days.
797  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla’s stock prices dropping fast on: December 14, 2022, 02:00:17 PM
Funny enough, if Elon Musk would just shut up he would have better PR but i guess that's not an option for him. He is just too addicted fo a publicity and fans adoring him.
Might be his greatest strength or weakness. It always come the way we never want it haha.

But stock didn't crash only because his twitter saga train crash, which was a huge part of it. It's now winter and clear to everyone that no-one in Europe can't afford to drive electric cars, not until there's cheaper energy around. We were counting too much for pipes coming from russia. And it didn't help Germany to shut down their nuclear reactors.
I am expecting every thing to be down during this time, inflation in many countries have been alarming with less competitiveness from the government. Tesla will drop by 20% in the 1st quarter of 2023, that's a quick maffs.

We need to invent cheaper and eco-friendly ways to produce energy for preventing something like this in the future.
How do we make this when the leaders are being neck-grabbed by these money freak company owners? They are just the ones who has a future in this world.
798  Other / Off-topic / Re: Messi is closer to his dream on: December 14, 2022, 01:15:36 PM
I don't watch much soccer, or really any to be honest, but I have been paying a little bit of attention to the modern day GOAT talk between Cristiano Ronaldo & Lionel Messi.  My understanding is that if Lionel Messi wins this World Cup, he'll have a damned good argument at being the GOAT over Cristiano Ronaldo.  I'm sure it isn't that black and white, and no matter what happens there will always be doubters, but from my perspective I think Lionel Messi will be the GOAT (of modern soccer) if he is able to win this World Cup.  I'm hoping he can pull it off.  I like a good legacy.
It's going to be a great legacy for Messi, but speaking of who's the GOAT is? it's gonna be a long one coz there's a lot to be considered. With Messi and Ronaldo on the line there are great players that lifted their team winning world cup which is the biggest league for football, and neither of them have won a single world cup. In comparison, Ronaldo may be better than Messi given his stats on each league he have played, plus he is the most influential person on instagram so he's the GOAT jk  Grin

While Messi is on the Finals of the world cup, that made Argentina proud of him. What a man!
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Mercito Gesta (January) on: December 14, 2022, 11:01:45 AM

Yes, it's been in the news lately that Ryan Garcia will have its own tune-up fight before a showdown with Tank Davis.

His opponent is a Filipino slugger named Mercito Gesta which is for me a very lively opponent and dangerous as well but i also do think that a very good tune-up fight for him.

Although Gesta is a very good fighter with a good background I consider this a cherry-picked fight for Garcia because Gesta is not a promising boxer, already old and checking his fights on Youtube I saw some weaknesses in his style he is flatfooted and has lax his defense especially when attacking, these loopholes are the things that's Ryan's going to explore when they meet, I'll pick Ryan to win this fight because obviously, this is a cherry-picked.
Perhaps you are cherry-picking because you have your bias to Ryan Garcia unconsciously. If you spend a lot of time on social media, you'll see his face everywhere since there were heck of a creators that uses his influence in sports to something irrelevant on platforms mainly youtube. LOL. BUT tbh, even I am a Filipino I will go with Ryan Garcia, watching his previous fights are worthy of any opponent, just not as ripe as crawford and spence. It's a Filipino-American fight, so it's gonna be exciting. I wanna see 12 rounds of back to back exchange.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bloody Year 2022 coming to End on: December 12, 2022, 12:54:11 PM
Indeed, many thing happened this year; from values breaking barriers and 'celings' to a deep downfall. At the present, recovery still is a struggle for this industry and no one knows when will the market in general go up again. For now it is either holding, or investing more, are the best options to do if you are an investor. For those who are planning to engage with this industry, be sure to gauge your capabilities and circumstances because no assurance still whether the market price would be able to recover early next year, with that, you have to endure the market situation.
The market will start greening once there will be new interesting projects around. What I think, what happened to the market is that we forgot how it works we hold onto something that we know at first is not a stabilize one and so we keep a yearly discussion about it lol. It goes high and low ( lowest ) name your analysis, name what tools you use, market will behave like it was 10 years ago but on a bigger scale. The only advice I can give is LEARN, learn the cycle, make the mistakes and timing more relevant.
