6 Bitcoin Scams To Avoid When Using P2P

1. Romance Scams
Quote
The first of the three man-in-the-middle (MITM) scam scenarios we will feature, a romance scam preys on your emotions to distract
you from a scammer’s true, nefarious motive.

This is true and many men seeking for fun fall for this move. Scammers can update very seductive and suggestive dress on their profile like telegram, Facebook, Snapchat and the suspecting client will be after what they see and start having trust because they feel the lady can fall and visit them for a good time. This is a very popular way that many investors can be scammed when they want to sell their coin. Is better that we expose this here. Most profile you see with seductive and nude pictures are signs you have to be careful while dealing with such accounts.
782  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 06, 2022, 07:35:11 PM
BTC will surely show major volatile move in both ways before moving upward. BTC move usually that way.

This is to be expected with the very end of the year. November is the month presiding December, activities are going to start up and we may start to see some pull out or cash out for the investors around the beginning of the year. Although the past few months have not witnessed volatility which means profit have not really been made but the end of the year is still what it is. Maybe we are going to see some volatility during the end of the month.
783  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think of gold price in long term? on: November 06, 2022, 06:12:12 PM

It doesn't seem like a bad idea to have some gold in your portfolio, but the question we really have to ask is what percentage of our total portfolio should be invested in gold?

This shouldn't be a major concern. It should be according to individual capital and strength of investment. Your personal conviction about gold investment will give you that kind of push to either divide your portfolio to be loaded in gold than other assets or to have it 50/50 but in my reasoning, the investment that has greater potential now for growth is what should be considered. I think bitcoin in no time is going to leave the bear areas and start to grow and with halving you can have another ATH. Therefore, I may choose the bitcoin investment and altcoins.
784  Economy / Economics / Re: Personal greed Will create quick pmp up prices of assets and then dmp on: November 06, 2022, 05:28:09 PM
I do not expect that we will witness a major crisis in real estate, as happened in 2008, but real estate will be one of the factors that will make the crisis worse.
The world is facing great economic challenges, including but not limited to the electronic chip crisis, interest rate, unemployment and others, all of which will push individuals to create liquidity and stop giving exaggerated prices.

We have to be prepared for total recession in all sector of our lives in the area that is related to finance. The effect of covid-19 leading to the economic reality this time around is so biting severely. The real estate is seriously affected by interest rate, people who get loans to invest in the real estate business get at a high rate because the rate keeps climbing, nobody want to invest and not to benefit. This is worst where there are no price control from buying of building materials to labour force to renting or mortgage.
785  Economy / Economics / Re: Personal greed Will create quick pmp up prices of assets and then dmp on: November 06, 2022, 12:50:06 PM
Right now in world people have problems to pay bills and Same time Property prices not falling and rent prices not either becouse of greed of the property owners.
Many people need Property still owners don't want to give for cheap so temporary it Will create quick pmp becouse demand is higher then supply but then it will dmp becouse many Property owners need to lower prices to rent out for people so atleast someone gona pay their bills.

This is a serious matter that the government need to look into regarding building of houses and rentage. Many landlords do overhike of renting of there houses with the excuse of cost of materials. Building project is not a cheap project with the constant increase of building materials but the owners don't consider that some building have covered their expenses in renting and lease over the years, they keep increasing rentage saying that as the cost of materials is constantly increasing, the increase rent collected will cushion the effect of repairs. They have a case which they are defending but the government has to regulate the housing and accommodate aspect of the society.
786  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bad advice can still be gotten from forum. on: November 05, 2022, 11:55:03 PM
I haven't gotten any bad advice yet, but I think it is logical to still entertain the possibility that since the forum is a meeting place for people from different lifestyles to discuss, bad advice or problematic opinions can still be shared. It is important and advisable to also extra vet the information and advice you get on this forum before application.

I believe this forum is operating in one fold and body. Advise given here are meant to the intent of it. Nobody is perfect and sometimes the advise may not turn out favourable but it doesn't mean the giver of the advise did an intentional act to deceive. I remember during the ico season, there were many investment threads analysing and suggesting investment coins, some rose while others didn't and it doesn't mean the advise didn't work but just extrenous activities can change the plans of the developers and that affect the investment of those hodling the coin.
787  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does everyone want to trade? on: November 05, 2022, 09:18:32 PM

And just to conclude, not everyone wants to trade. People are currently more aware about its risks than in years ago.

The risk of trading is very high and this is why even a winning trade can turn into a losing trade if you don't go off the market earlier enough to take your profit. Trading isn't for everyone, you need to have some qualities before you are able to do trading efficiently, like patient, being analytical to identify even little details, being a decision taker and money manager.
788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My exorbitant lessons in last bull market on: November 05, 2022, 04:05:02 PM

But the problem is that I am fed up to greediness that I want more profit, but instead it goes the other way around and I’ve lost a lot of money. I think out of 10 crappy meme coins, only 2 of them that I have profited but not much to cover my losses.

As always this is the bane to the growth of traders waiting and waiting for more profit even when it is time to exit. Every trader has this attitude sometimes. Moving away from it is such a difficult thing to do, it takes more determination to do. Not being greedy is what experience can do, it is difficult for a new trader and that can be the reason for account loss.
789  Economy / Economics / Re: Is long-term employee retention a losing battle? on: November 05, 2022, 12:14:58 PM
Most of the wealthy people are greedy, who wants more money by giving a lot of work loads on their employees with their lower than minimum wage. I think the first one should act is the Government, for the company owners to change this very awful behavior since the beginning. Government should increase the minimum wage because we're in the era where everything is expensive.

Increase of minimum wage is not the solution. If you keep increasing minimum wage it only will lead into more inflation. The government need to have a strategic plan to build more industries so that there will be choice of work to choose from and people who are skilled and qualified will be properly enumerated and won't have need to keep jumping from one job to the other and get under paid.
790  Economy / Speculation / Re: How fast will Bitcoin fall down? on: November 04, 2022, 06:31:14 PM
I think your question is a straight forward question but because you don't understand what you are asking of that is why you didn't know how to put the question. You can simply ask if a new blockchain is created will it affect bitcoin to drop? And the answer is no. Like many have responded, there are blockchains already existing and this has no effect on bitcoin. Altcoins have existed and some try to dublicate bitcoin but it has no effect against bitcoin.
791  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much gambling is in trading cryptocurrencies? on: November 03, 2022, 03:29:35 PM

It sounds depressive as I read it but this is how I see this.

No it is not. You just said your mind and the mind of others, few or majority thinking trading is also gambling but it is not.

This is where I come to the conclusion that for most of people who trade, trading is just a gamble. Sometimes they win, and this is where legends are born most of the times. Sometimes they lose, what happens more often. In general we are lured by huge and rapid wealth and such desires are addictive, especially if you succeeded a couple of times. Only few are determined enough to reach a level of proficiency before losing it all - money, hope and a touch of reality.

See some reasons that trading is not gambling.

In trading you can exit when you don't like the order you have made or if the trade is running against you and you decide not to continue, you can stop half way but in gambling you can't stop if you have made the bet until it is done. It is either you lose or you gain.

In trading, you can use stop loss to protect your remaining capital or liquidity but gambling is not like that.

Trading is not a game. Games most times depends on luck to know the outcome and this is typical of gambling.

The analysis in trading is by technical or fundamental. If there is analysis in gambling, it is called forecast and hinged on luck.

To this there are some news that will hit the trade on going and it will instantly change the direction of the market for your gain or loss. Example if you look at the news of Elon musk becoming the owner of tweeter had to increase the price of dogecoin. People started buying dogecoin because of the affiliation Elon musk has with dogecoin. Trading is not a game but gambling is a game either physical or animated.
792  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management: How to set a Stop Loss on: November 02, 2022, 09:42:16 PM

I can't really remember the last time I used stop loss in a trade, I just make sure I don my analysis well then I enter a trade. Mostly whenever I enter a trade and I use stop loss, immediately my stop loss have been hit, then the coin will bounce back that's why I don't really use it again, I always make sure I monitor my trade myself and I always know when to leave a trade.

Okay I presume that you exit your trade yourself when it is moving opposite your desired direction and you can't afford to lose all to stop loss ? Because I know that all traders lose some and win some. This time when you are not trading with stop loss, take for example your computer become faulty when you are in a volatile trade without stop lose? This you can lose all that would have been protected by stop loss. Anyway like you said every trader should learn a strategy that is working for them but remember stop loss was not designed because of newbies alone, even experienced trade use stop loss.
793  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading on: November 02, 2022, 06:18:51 PM
There are some of them who still do day trading. Whether it is effective or not, will depend on the individual day trader. Because this is related to strategy and various efforts to avoid losses when the market suddenly changes direction.

Day trading requires stop loss strategy. I don't know of what ways to prevent the loss when things go wrong with the trade because most times you won't be there to always watch the market movement to know if to stop your trade or not s the best is to use stop loss which is the best strategy incase something goes wrong.
794  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im looking For good signals channels on: November 02, 2022, 04:30:33 PM
Im looking For good signals providers.
And Im ready to pay as long AS good signals.
Where Are those ?

Sorry nobody will go through hard times to get a working plan and sell it to you, they rather will use it on themselves and continuously profit from the market but I tell you constant profit from the market is not possible, meaning you won't see such channel you are asking for. What you will see are triers, mistake and fair luck channels, they are looking for your money not profit from trade.
795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management: how to factor deal frequency and duration? on: November 01, 2022, 12:51:16 PM
Yet, do not cause your winnings a setback by trying to get an assumed result through backtesting, they don't work. If you would ever help yourself in trading, forwardtest and do not mind the time it will take you to perfect whatever trading system you are building.

Oh, I absolutely forward test too. But backtesting helps you figure out what to forward test, and what to run live in the meantime. You need both.
I repeat, forwardtest instead of backtesting, you might still be new in the world of trading, backtesting is not working, it will only raise your hope and demoralise you later. This is especially if you are using indicators to trade, those indicators are often perfect in past views and patterns, but they are not so in live trading. You have to heed this advice to help yourself. Countless traders have argued before, and they all regretted backtesting later.

And if I may ask, how long have you been trading?

To add to @ EarnOnVictor view. You don't really need backtesting that much, only you are sure with the times you have backtested then you move forward and concentrate on the forward rather than backwards. Are you saying that the past repeat itself all the time? The past only confirm to you your indicators efficiency on the way it moves with the market moving forward. Understand more with your indicators on how they are behaving in the forward market speculations.
796  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will Fed take tomorrow? on: November 01, 2022, 11:36:19 AM

Give me a good cause to make a big short (long) trade, I'm ready with cash  Tongue

Peace!!!

Don't rely on FED only to make your investment decision. The news from fed will only cause increase volatility because investors are trying to rush in to grab what they can and get out spontaneously and this will see the market settle down to the reality. You can only aim for pump gains but not the real longtime investment. You know the inflation so far is important to consider as it is a driving force to market price. Demand of crude and supply quantity from OPEC is another consideration and the year is running out different countries will make budget and their financial planning.
797  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management: How to set a Stop Loss on: November 01, 2022, 08:08:00 AM

I find this interesting and it looks like an advise never to leave running market over to the next trading day, this is dangerous. Every trading day has it own challenges so never expect total continuation of the previous day. So close your running trade if on profit or you put stop loss if you are losing before the night falls.

We have scalping and day trading. If you are a scalper or a day trader, you have different strategies if you are compared to swing traders. There are some trades you can leave for more than a day. You may have the intention to leave it for some hours but later you lose and decided to leave it until it came to your profit on the next day (I know most traders do high risk trading which can liquidate their trading asset if leaving trades like this longer). But the way some traders open position with high leverage and no averaging may lead to liquidation or high loss of money. I always wonder why most traders talked more about stop lose when not needed for all types of trading strategies.

Surely stop loss is good for every trade order and strategy whether scalping, day trading or swing. A spill over running trade is preferred for swing trading but not scalping or day trading. The reason that it is preferred for swing is because of the long time that it is expected to last and within that time, a losing trade can revert to profit before it hit on the stop loss. But using low leverage is also good for every trade except for high risk traders and they should be ready for any liquidation any time trade go wrong.
798  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We are group of long experinced traders try our Free signals on: October 30, 2022, 09:10:38 PM

I could have subscribed to your signal service but I am also afraid that you said you may ask for fees for the signal in the future got me a little worried.

This is certain if op didn't mention it to you. It is usually the practice that signal group ask subscribers to send payment for the different levels of package that users entered for. They have tasting time which maybe by the week or monthly. The challenges layed down for such signal groups is it is still speculative all what they do and they gather users to pump the coin and sell before you do.
799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to DCA when BTC crashing on: October 30, 2022, 09:25:45 AM
Start from now! just set a plan when you want to buy Bitcoin regularly, it could be everyday, every week, every biweekly, every month etc. The key of DCA is being consistent and don't being obsessed with the price, just stick to the time, not the price. If you're looking to buy Bitcoin at the lowest, you might lose the moment since you're keep waiting and waiting only. But if you buy the coins even though it's not the lowest, you could actually bought at the lowest.

In DCA price is important but not time. If you looking at the time only you will miss DCA intent. If you looking at time only you may buy at very high price. I think using price is good for DCA. You need to set a price range that you want to invest in and with that price the time may not be appropriate for it. Accumulation in lowest price is profiting but targeting with time you can buy in high price which is not profitable. Time is not the right investment for DCA strategy but price. So you can set your buy order lower most times although it can be higher price but not  regarding to time.

Much better to ask donations instead if the free signals provided does have a good win rate.

This looking like a good suggestion for this group if the users have left not so good review on them then the subscription part can be suspended and open window for freewill donation to the service and with this they can rebuild their strength and synergy to get better in the service and probably come to the subscription part if they proof themselves to be worthy for it.
