It's your coin, use it however you like. For impulsive people, having direct access to BTC in a paper wallet or hardware wallet might be difficult to resist. Casascius coins are great ways to lock up BTC because there is a penalty for accessing the funds. It's kind of like how a penalty to withdraw a retirement fund early prevents people from using it on a rainy day. As long as you aren't looking to maximize the resale value to a collector and you plan on spending the BTC, there's nothing wrong with overfunding it.

Has the hologram idea been incorporated, and the book itself could have the potential to be a wallet ?
At this point I cannot confirm nor deny, but it looks like it. There would not be a pre-loaded balance, however.

Those don't look like they can be graded... and if they were they would do so poorly I think.

What is really needed is a forum with good auction functionality. It would be good if there were options for a number of different auction types .... Normal auctions, buy it now or best offer, auction also with buy it now, Dutch auction with descending offer price by time, and closed bid auction like you are trying to do.
If we can wipe out the need to trust, it would help that auction types work, and it could work well
Open Bazaar should take care of this. Is that open yet? I have not kept up with them. Live testnet launches March 1st. The UI is very slick so I think adoption will happen fairly quickly. Here's a sneak peak https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8I2D8_8ktA

Do you have a guide price for the 2011 error?
I would guess between 2.5 - 3 BTC would be a competitive offer. Well there are only a few MS 67 Error coins out there. TookDk sold one around 5.2 BTC in january and monkeynuts has one on sale for 5.2 BTC. So a competitive offer is 2.5-3 BTC? Good point, I had not considered the grade. 2.5-3 BTC might get a reply, but not a sale I would guess 3.5-4 is what it might go for at auction. 5 would be a good price to list it at.

Paper Safe's arrived today, surprisingly very quick! Well done BG4. These are IMO much improved from last year. A lot of extra details added, and they are cheaper. Can't beat it. I had to take mine out of the top loader in order to put it in my album, but I'm sure I'll be able to use those for something else.
