Of course, they blamed the opposition and the US, because... yeah, who cares, its never their fault... But no one believes them.

Wonder if its also America's fault that the Petro websites are now offline:

I feel bad for these people, they got suckered in to buying paper certificates representing Petro holdings a couple weeks before its death:

UPDATE: Because of a lack of maintenance and corruption Venezuela is plagued a second time in this month by a huge blackout which is far from being resolved. Government webpages not considered to be essential are down. Among them, who would have thought, the two main pages linked to the petro: http://www.petro.gob.ve/ and https://explorador.petro.gob.ve/

Related: Since some weeks there isn't any government propaganda for the petro anymore.

WARNING TO POTENTIAL INVESTORS:

This thread has employed a thread bumping service to create artificial hype around their project. As such services are usually hired by scammers to promote scam projects, we strongly advise you DO NOT invest in this project.

This project has been marked as a potential scam and will be investigated, with the findings reported here. If there is enough evidence to suggest it is indeed a scam, a formal scam accusation will be drawn against it, and will be linked in the thread here.

Until then, we suggest you invest in any other project which has legitimate interest in it, as it is less likely to be a scam.

Thanks for the warning, but I did not receive any payment for the posts. I will not comment this thread if it is prohibited by the rules.

Of course you get paid to post. You're a shitposting bump bot. You mean you're writing in the exact same threads as these other idiots out of your own free will? The statistical likelihood of that happening is zero. All your comments = 1-2 line pieces of garbage. This project got a bum deal when they hired your service. I hope they leave you a one-star Fiverr rating.

I'd like to investigate each project you are commenting on. I bet they are all scams. After a while, your service will be synonymous with "scam" and nobody will hire you anymore. I could probably have you banned for merit abuse but I'd rather wait and see how this plays out. So don't stop commenting on my account, spambots.

This was the last post left by the previous owner of your account, from 2011. Sounds like a moron too:

Team Nimiq works only for about 2 days a month

Why do you keep repeating the same things over and over and over again in huge red fonts? You look absolutely insane. Anybody who engages in that tactic is a legitimate moron. Frankly it doesn't matter what project you would have invested your money in besides this one, I'm sure you would have lost it all by now anyway.

The price of this coin has almost doubled in the last 2 months, so what are you crying about every day?

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nimiq/

Recently, I didn't have time for this scam anymore. We lost money with nimiq's scam ICO. We just need to admit that we were the stupid ones who handled them our money and they were the smart ones who took it. The only thing that makes me angry is to see that they try to do another ICO with agora trade. I am really disappointed to see that the scam repeats itself. Personally, it looks like Robin Linus exit scammed the project as they are just post some useless news from time to time to look legit, while their founder just exit scammed the project. This is how it looks.

And you... the only thing you've ever done with your account is shit on your own investment. Thank god you recently found some time to continue shitting on it.

Full disclosure: I've never owned any of this coin, and I never will. I just commented in this thread once so now I will forever see it in my "new replies."

From what I got from this thread thus far is:

1. Some people are really upset at Lightning.
2. There is no fractional reserve banking happening with Lightning.
3. KYC in Lightning is a "but what if" fear used to further people's beliefs as to why they are upset with Lightning.

If KYC is imposed for some Lightning nodes, traffic that doesn't want to go through those nodes will simply skip around it. New nodes will come into existence to take their business. Such are the laws of supply and demand.

With each passing day this exchange is looking more and more like a scam.

It is suggested that all users stay away from it as Trade Satoshi is blocking users from accessing their funds (a tactic which no reputable exchange that imposes KYC uses) and may look for other reasons to lock you out of your funds as well.

I don't intend to attack you personally or hold it against you but am just using it as an example.

Legally it could be argued that a user using a fake name is fraudulently using the platform contrary to their terms and conditions.  It is good that Poloniex recognized it as an issue and was sensible with the solution they offered.  However - others may go down a different path and report it to the authorities in the jurisdiction that they are in.
Allowing a user to change their name on the platform potentially could cause liability for the platform if it is done by a hacker that then drains the funds of a user. Phishing was less of an issue years ago. Currently phishing and compromised user accounts are a huge threat.

The reality is that this situation would not have occurred if the user had not lied about their personal details. It is the user that committed the legal wrong .

No offense taken, and I do understand your point. However, asking for KYC after the user has already deposited funds and only when they are attempting to withdraw seems to be an uneven application of what it was intended for. They have no problem accepting funds but then suddenly its a problem when the user wants to make a withdrawal.

Outside of OP, there are dozens of complaints from users who are experiencing the same problem. And the problem doesn't seem to be contained to KYC issues, they seem to be locking people out of their accounts left and right. Even if the issues are related, blocking people from their funds and keeping them works out all too well for themselves. At the very least, people should be warned that they face this risk if they use this exchange, which isn't a common problem among legitimate exchanges.

What would be useful is to find out when Trade Satoshi first started asking for KYC, or when it first appeared on their website in the terms.

Also, the 3 accounts currently bumping their thread all sprang to life after problems started arising for them, around March 10th. They all respond to comments in the same style, by writing _above_ the quoted comment instead of below it. In my experience on the forum maybe 1 out of 20 users does this. I'm thinking they're all owned by the same person, maybe somebody who works for Trade Satoshi.

Yes i know, the coin was very popular and attract a lot of people, but because a problem on the code, some bug we cannot fix it died slowly, so since then i been trying to do a relaunch, i though a waves token will be great, then ethereum but the DAO hit in, now i think maybe a TRON token will be great but i don't really understand that coin, so i am open to suggestions, i don't like the idea of ICO or raising any money, i prefer community help, i think the best is to get people involved in the code and graphical design, launch a social media campaign, there are many zombie fans out there and i can promote this on the zombie walks around the world, also comiccons.

I have to say that your roadmap is amazing and i am totally fully wholly entirely completely absolutely amazed by your roadmap

Will Tradesatoshi support the listing of the re-launch of Zombieapocalypsecoin?

i cannot afford the listing fee but the coin has a great utility use in the case of a future zombie invasion, so the survivors can use this coin to exchange items in the near future, i am also looking for investors to launch a couple of satellites to space so any survivor with a satellite disk can connect to the blockchain and broadcast their transactions

Its just bizarre to me.
7876  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tradesatoshi - BEWARE! Blocking without reasons. on: March 26, 2019, 03:41:39 PM

The issue you're talking about is: User agreed to pass the KYC-check, but the personal information, provided by him earlier was innacurate, so he can't complete it. This is only one aspect of this story.

But this is not the case, i'm talking about.
From one side, the exchange can ask for a mandatory KYC-check (normally with a notification in advance, which was not done by Traidsatoshi).
From the other side, user can deny to pass it. In that case he won't be able to trade anymore - this is ok. But, all the funds he had before KYC were deposited or traded by him under the Level 1 verification from Tradesatoshi, so they are all legal. So all this funds must be returned to the owner. By now Tradesatoshi is denying users to withdraw their funds, which is totally unacceptable!

Ultimately if you have used their platform - you agreed to the terms. By registering with a false or incorrect name or details you committed a fraudulent act or made a serious error when entering a contract.

Usually people don't need to "change their name details" unless they gave false details.

It is something you will need to sort out through their support ticket system. Ultimately though it comes down to a user error. (Deliberate or not)

The only way to check whether someone gave false details is to ask them to verify their identity which appears what they have done and appears consistent with their terms.

People will have opposing views on this but registering (entering into a contract) with a false name (alias) is a crime in some jurisdictions.

I remember when I signed up for Poloniex in 2014 I gave them a fake name, because I didn't necessarily trust them, as most people didn't. Then when their Circle acquisition came and they insisted everyone do KYC, I said screw that, because where I lived didn't even allow bitcoin exchanges and Poloniex would have certainly taken that into consideration. Poloniex also gave me the option of changing my customer name, which Trade Satoshi does not. They let me withdraw my coins, and I moved on. This is the standard I'm used to... It seems to me when an exchange uses KYC as an excuse to with-hold customer coins, something fishy is going on. BiteBTC has been engaging in the same behavior.

Then as was pointed out, some people performed the KYC to the best of their ability and were still denied access to their funds. I strongly believe Trade Satoshi recently turned to the darkside as they've racked up a huge number of complaints on social media as of late. They've always had their share of unhappy customers, but now they have way more than their share.

We should also ask the policy regarding stop giving a service to users

with DiHunter for example he is saying he will not do KYC and he also said he opened tickets using a false email, i am sure exchanges detect such things like IP, cookie session, etc. what i am thinking is tradesatoshi stop providing service to that user because he is not cooperating with the verification and submitting tickets with fake email

if a mod is watching this then they just need to look at the timestamp of his email and find the user, cookies and ip will also help.

"Not cooperating with verification" isn't a good reason to with-hold withdrawals. You just don't get it. There are 5 other users posting in this thread in the last 2 weeks. There are dozens more on Twitter and Reddit.

Having the  problem right now.
i have logged into my account and got the message:

Dear user please update your KYC details here

You can update your KYC by update following documents
A scan of your photo ID
A selfie of your holding the photo ID
Your Account must be match with that Id.

Don't ever use this  exchange! They can block your account at any time without any reasons!
KYC was not mandatory when i was creating my account months ago. If it was mandatory i wouldn't start trading there, cause i don't want to provide my personal data to every  exchange.

Same experience. They've locked my funds almost a week. Open orders cannot be canceled

Tradesatoshi will steal your funds and lock your account. It is true. Just another scam exchange. You can sign up without a problem but then they will wait until you have a balance worth taking and will lock you out.  STAY AWAY

TradeSatoshi has frozen my account with a large amount of money, and their KYC aka Keep Your Crypto takes FOREVER. There is NO guarantee of getting your funds back. NEVER use this exchange if you like money. I am fuming, and this is totally unacceptable. They must have losses to make back, so they're seizing users funds. This exchange is sketchy and their mods and operators are completely in on it. They are no help if you ask, and they will tell you the "verification team" is working on it, and they will contact you, if you ask any questions at all. But, there is no verification team to contact. There is no information about their "verification team" whatsoever and they will answer NO questions about them. There is no way to contact them and the verification status emails are no-reply. If you have any questions about verification, tough shit. You won't get any. Stay the hell away from this mess.

my account is also locked fro no reason, now they ask me give registration details, I don't understand why,, I have my login id, password, access to my emails and also the tfa, what else do I need to prove to claim my account.. these people are full of shit riding out ways to hold our money

In addition, your (zombieapocalypsecoin) account woke up after close to 2 years in hibernation to start ragging on people making complaints against this exchage. Bolivarcoin account woke up after almost 1 year to do the same.

You are both basically aiding a scam for reasons I don't understand.. ZombieapocalypseCoin has long been removed from Trade Satoshi and bolivarcoin does $48 of trades a day... I don't understand what kind of a cut you get for supporting a scam.
7878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tradesatoshi.com - CryptoCurrency Exchange on: March 26, 2019, 04:28:05 AM

OK but in both instances the Binance CEO gave well-explained reasons why the accounts were frozen and could provide evidence that they were connected to stolen coins. So I'm asking for somebody who works for Trade Satoshi to provide evidence of this or at least an official statement regarding this matter.

If the coins were connected to exchange hacks, there'd be no reason to address KYC issues -- the crime was already committed. KYC wouldn't make coins un-stolen. Without a statement from Trade Satoshi on the issue, it just looks like a reason to scam their customers.
7879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tradesatoshi.com - CryptoCurrency Exchange on: March 26, 2019, 04:07:20 AM
We don't know this,
we don't know why he got his account frozen
we don't know why he don't want to verify his identity
and as far as i know this is a common practice in all exchanges, just an example Binance do this all the time.
And it seems like small exchanges are being forced to implement KYC, Cryptobridge implement it, soon Stex and Crex will also implement, only Coinexchange still on the wild west side.
I was reading this article https://ambcrypto.com/shapeshift-is-being-forced-to-implement-kyc-aml-policies-says-erik-voorhees/ practically all exchanges are being forced to implement KYC

1. It doesn't matter why he doesn't want to verify his identity.
2. Binance, ShapeShift and all major exchanges have very clear trader levels that they establish... If a trader wants to do more than a certain amount of trading per day, they must upload their KYC documents. Reputable exchanges don't let a trader do what they want and _then_ ask for KYC afterward... They certainly don't block coin withdrawals because of it. If anything, they would be limited to a certain amount of withdrawals per day, not be blocked entirely.
3. We _do_ know that this is a widespread problem for Trade Satoshi and that nobody should be depositing coins there until they clarify the reasons behind what they are doing.
7880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tradesatoshi.com - CryptoCurrency Exchange on: March 26, 2019, 03:36:40 AM
Until now the only evidence he has posted is that he don't want to verify his account because he "don't want to provide my personal data to every third-rate exchange"

He is sending support tickets with another email address (probably fake) so of course he will not get any reply back from support. "Tryied with another mail address - the support request passed through! lol"

He shouldn't have to verify his account in order to get his coins out of it. If anything they should just not allow him to trade. But with-holding coins after springing KYC on somebody is pretty sketchy.

Plus there's dozens of other user complaints for similar issues on Twitter, Reddit, and here. And then one guy who submitted KYC and still can't access his account... This exchange seems to be scamming their customers. Until one of its employees can explain the rationale behind with-holding coins after asking for KYC, I'm going to assume its a scam exchange. As should everybody.
