81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins brought you massive losses? on: March 06, 2018, 02:35:09 AM
I haven't done "massive losses" but did some bad decisions and bought both siacoin and digibyte in 2017. But I haven't sold yet so they might bounce back up one day, I still believe they will. I don't mind holding but I wish I never bought them since I could have used that money to make a lot of profit from other coins.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is GPU Mining Still Profitable? Should YOU Build a Mining Rig? GPU Mining Dead? on: March 05, 2018, 03:14:16 AM
gone are the days people were making $15 a day with a card

now, the market is leveled out to a realistic level, but the video card prices have not dropped.

its not worth getting a 1080ti to barley get 2 dollars a day....and it will only get worse, to where you need rigs to make money.

its NOT profitable its a good hobby but dont quit your day job

I Want to know a view of someone (maybe you are miner), are you didn't get any profit from mining? Are you really a miner? Or you just say something that you didn't do? Sorry, no offense. I am a miner and till now still get enough profit every days, weeks, month. May something wrong with your way to mining.

It is still profitable to mine but for some of us who pay 0.25 cent per kilowatt it's not much meat left on the bones after expenses to keep me really motivated as a miner. This can change very fast though in crypto if market goes up. I will continue mining with what I got until my cards stops working but I will not upgrade.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $4000 to spend on Monday... What 2 coins would you buy? on: March 04, 2018, 09:14:22 AM
Looking to split $4000 between 2 coins. I'm leaning towards PRL and ICX

What would you recommend?

Not sure if you looking for fast profit or long term investment but here are my 2 favorite coins that I myself have invested in.

Fusion - Great potential still trading just over ICO price.

Nexus - Old coin no ICO or premine, great tech and the founder is a genius. Very big potential.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PROOF that XSPEC is a SCAM on: March 03, 2018, 10:03:25 AM
I've known from the first time I read about XSPEC that it was a completly useless shitcoin. And not to talk about all the spamming going on here on bitcointalk. For ones and for all can we just let this shitcoin die.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your opinion about the profit of coins in March 2018 on: March 03, 2018, 04:29:08 AM
I wouldn't buy any of them to be honest if I only had $200 to invest and with that amount buy only 1 top 2 altcoins. Have a look at new comers that just finish ico and trading around ico price. That's your best bets to maximize your profit. With only $200 to invest you have to go high risk with the possibility to to do 10x at least.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Electroneum Enabling Mobile Mining the 5th on: March 03, 2018, 02:01:33 AM

Quote
LOL come on. You deserve olympic Gold for your naiveness.  Why on earth would anyone use such currency? Instead of to be secured by mining it is with simulation of mining.

Electroneum using CryptoNight algo and is mined with gpu's and cpu's just like Monero. So how do you mean electroneum is not secured by mining? The mobile mining is not actually mining on the blockchain which means it dosen't use any battery or cpu power. It's a simulation, like a game, where you can earn ETN by running a "miner" on your phone.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This week's most promising ICO's on: March 02, 2018, 06:26:53 AM
I think Faceter ICO looking promising. They have raised almost $19million so far and are on their way to reach hardcap which I think they will before the end of ico.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: anyone depending on bounty camp for a living? on: March 02, 2018, 06:11:42 AM
That would be a very uncertain income source. First of all you don't even know if they are going to pay you or how much. Second, you don't know when or even if they will hit a axchange and most importantly at what price. But eventhough all this I'm sure here are people doing a fulltime income just from bounties. Depending on where in the world you live even $1000 a month is a lot of money.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: March 02, 2018, 05:48:32 AM
A few people in Korea learning what the West has overlooked; Nexus. You know that's how Korea took over semicondoctors. Nexus has soo much on the plate this year, and thier dev team is growing. 3D chain, signiture-chains, satellite launch, democratic voting structure, decentralized mining, alternet protocol testing (decentralized internet) from low-earth orbit, tritium wallet, etc.

Oh, and what I like about their community...very very few crypto's take decentralization seriously, allowing centralized mining, pre-mines, centralized ICO's, etc. Not Nexus, their whole philosophy is about how to design-in sovereignty for the 99%. 3DC is going to be air-tight and unstoppable.
- MetaSouls @ Nexus reddit

Love it! Seems like the Koreans start to accumulate a lot of Nexus. Upbit (korean exchange) has almost twice the volume as bittrex today. Let's see where the price settles.
90  Other / Meta / Re: Rank in Bitcointalk on: March 01, 2018, 07:02:36 AM
I would say its impossible to rank up with the new merit system unless you post something really extraordinary, like a guide on how to get free bitcoin or something. People who already ranked up before this of course likes the new merit system since its less people in signature campaings with high ranks which allows them earn more money. So I feel sorry for new members who didn't rank up to at least to full member before all this merit system took place.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your plan? on: March 01, 2018, 06:52:13 AM
I will probably never cash out everything unless the hole market crashes. But my plan is to make enough money in crypto to secure my future and never need to worry about money.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost half of my crypto amount! what to do? on: March 01, 2018, 12:37:32 AM
I think most of us in the beginning of our crypto trading career have done mistakes like that. All we can do is hold until it goes back again. If you don't sell you have actually not lost anything right? If it's a dying project on the other hand its better to sell and take your loss then wait just to lose even more money.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC - Passports and documents for sale on Dark Web on: February 27, 2018, 03:18:01 AM
The question is how can we make it harder for these scumbags using our identity? What if we watermark any pictures we upload with the date and name of the project, wouldn't that make it harder to sell ID's later on? I'm thinking if they are trying to use our id's for KYC or any other instances where uploading id document is required they will fail if they are watermarked. Sure they can try remove it but that's quiet a lot of work I guess.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many coins should you HODL? on: February 26, 2018, 01:29:40 PM
As long as you have a good system in place to keep track of them all I think there is no maximum amount but of course holding shit coins for any longer time is not a very good idea and will just make you lose money long term. You only want to hold the really good projects for longer time (over a year) that have a shot at the top 10. Other not so promising projects is much better to keep until there is a pump then sell because in the long term they will have a slow death.
95  Other / Off-topic / Re: Come on people, start giving out your merit! on: February 26, 2018, 12:54:15 AM
The only ones who have a decent amount to give is Hero/Legendary but they don't give noobs they only giving it to each other. So for a new member to rank up and become a full member will takes many years (if ever) instead of before just few months. Apperently the elite (who already are Hero/Legendary) here like it that way so just have to accept it or find another forum.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest the most promising ICOs/new altcoins (Merit for best answers). on: February 25, 2018, 02:22:25 AM
So, I've just read through the Ethereum, DASH and NEO whitepapers, and I'm astounded at how obvious it is that these currencies would succeed, I wish I had read these when they were announced. Now, I'm looking for some NEW ICOs or altcoins that are either in development now, or have just been released (within the last 6-12 months maximum).

I would like you to suggest your favourite up and coming ICOs and/or altcoins, and explain why you think they are going to be the next big thing. I will be meriting the best answers, and if your answer is truly outstanding I will tell others about it, resulting in more merit for you.

The 2 most promising projects in 2018 so far is Wanchan and Fusion. Both of them have potential to be in the top 10.

Wanchain haven't been released on any exchanges yet but should in any day/week. If you want to grab some cheap wan make sure you are ready when they hit exchanges because price will most definetly go up quick since a lot of hype around it.

Fusion is currently traded on bibox and cobinhood just over ICO price. If you want to invest here pick it up now since price won't stay this cheap for long when main net will be online in a couple of months.

Anyway that's my 2 top pick for 2018 and If you read their whitepaper you will understand that they will go big.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: February 24, 2018, 12:36:58 PM
I try to deposit 10000 etn from my wallet to cryptopia 2 weeks ago, and it not yet get to this exchange? Cryptopia support are not answer! What am i need to do?

I just logged in and was planning to withdraw some ETN from cryptopia to my electroneum wallet but it say wallet is in maintenance since feb 21. Not sure if its cryptopia or electroneums problem but it is annoying when its the only exchange available at the moment.

You can read more about it on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Electroneum/comments/7zvxll/etn_practically_untradeable_right_now/

98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Meta is the next x100? [Privacy Coin] on: February 24, 2018, 12:36:51 AM
I think its just another cash grab ico pnd coin. If you do buy some make sure you take your profits and get out. Something like this is in no way a hodl.

Have to agree with the gentleman above. You might make some quick money but defiently not something you would hold on to.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dent might get listed on binance on: February 23, 2018, 06:15:36 AM
Sure it will get pumped if listed on binance but long term Dent is not a good investment in my opinion. Much better invest your money in more long term projects with bigger visions like decentralized internet making internet available anywhere in the world, anytime which would make Dent useless.

Here's another link to reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/Crypto_Currency_News/comments/7zkm86/sharp_new_nexus_tritium_wallet_demo_44_second/

Been waiting a long time for this. Best looking wallet I've seen. Hopefully it will be released soon can't wait to try it out.
