Personally have invested in this ICO and am very looking forward to potential awards, but we need to be careful not to use the word 'mooning'. For example everyone thought Kyber would make them a fortune, look at it now... It's worth noting this is an inflationary coin, its going to take a long time to mature in price and for mass adoption. My understanding is it simulates mining. So therefore no resources used on your phone. They just look at the specs of your phone and you get tokens based on that. It is essentially still mining, just a simulation of it. As long as you get tokens for using it that is what mattters. Better to mine like this than melt your phone. The actual mining will be on PC’s. Is this actually correct? Just asking. But if it is correct, then it would be much more convinced of the system really being sustainable. Yes it is correct. A question about 'mobile mining':
I understand from the whitepaper that it is just a simulated mining and I imagine that the coins you get for your 'mobile mining' have to come from
(A) a pool of pre-mined coins or
(B) someone has to mine them with 'real mining' (as in generation of new blocks and adding them to the chain) and distribute them to the mobile miners.
Is it A or B?
In case of A, is it the pool of unsold coins "bonus pool" in the whitepaper? What happens if you sell all of the pre-mined coins in the ICO?
In case of B: Who is doing that job? For how long ...
Neither A or B The mobile miners are still mining coins. It's not just premining a bunch of coins and handing them out to the mobile miners via the game. There is a twin algo with a centralized processor that allows them to mine mobile without burning up their phone. The bonus pool you are asking about amoumts to only 20 million put aside for bounties out of 6 billion coins in the ICO, and amounts to less than .00095% of all coins. There is zero premine for the devs. Contraband which is it? Are you mobile mining or just simulating? Where do the coins come from if its just a simulation? |

so is it a game currency on mobile platform ? the idea mining on mobile sound very interesting for me It's not a game currency, they are just suggesting that whilst you plan you could be earning ETN tokens. You won't be able to do anything with those tokens in the game. Mobile mining definitely is the big selling point, plug your phone in at work, 8 hours free electricity a day for mining! |

Second, Dropbox is susceptible to hackers because the data is held by a single entity.
Third, Dropbox only gives you a small amount of storage for free and they charge you for plans.
Fourth, assuming you need to store more data than 2GB on the cloud then Sia is hands-down the cheaper option.
Disclaimer, Dropbox is a fantastic tool. I use it for some personal as well as professional purposes. While its more expensive at the moment, I would prefer to utilize Dropbox over Sia at the moment because I'm more familiar with it. I do appreciate the fact that Sia is a working product, I believe in it and I think its the future. Its just so new and its hard to break ones habit when they are accustomed to using one thing for so long.

How do you guys feel about Siacoin? Is it a good time to be buying into to it?
Siacoin is probably the most useless coin currently out there, why would you buy into a coin that allows you to host stuff in the cloud? My man, use dropbox it's free. Trust me when I say, in a years time, Siacoin will be worth 1/10th of what it is now. ~ Lucas p.s if you want to host a shit load more that dropbox allows you for free, then yes buy some siacoins, its not an investment, its like buying gas for your car. Hi everyone, I'm a complete newbie to this whole cryptocurrency thing. I was looking at dash. But don't know where to start learning. I was just looking around on cryptocompare.com and saw the ant miner d3 it lists it has a payback period of 13 days. With a return of $3,512.38 a month. What exactly does that mean? How is that calculated? So let's just say I purchased one of these miners does that mean that's the return I would be looking at? How do I get that cryptocurrency in usd?
Pffft where to begin. Yes currently the Ant Miner D3 will give you your return on investment in 13 days... however... it's only just about to be shipped, its sold out everywhere, people are selling their September batch pre orders for 5x the price. Basically by the time you will get it, the ROI will be about 6 months. |

i think you are the only one user in this universe that has the access to the private key on Kraken lololol You are correct there isnt a private key on Kraken either. You can send from ANY exchange!! I was incorrect. Each time someone registers an account on the Electroneum website, they create a unique wallet for them that has its own private key. This protects them and separates them from everyone else. I stand corrected!!! So it is you James that is the lawyer eh? Thanks for setting me straight. This is the first time I seen this done. Brilliant on the Devs part actually. Easier for the user, and safer!!  Atleast you admitted it. I think it would be worth deleting your posts as people reading through will be seriously confused. |

But I wasn't worried about me hahaha I learned to read when I was very young and college has giving the skills to acquire, process and understand new knowledge!!
I understand the difference between an ECR20 token based off a smart contract on the ether blockchain and a new coin, with it's separate chain and/or algorithm.
Guess contraband and the other crazies still need some time to understand!
People should just go.on the official channels and follow the official guidelines. If you noticed correctly, I quoted my info from the electroneum blog, not some random U NOOB shit.
