81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Listening To False News... on: May 19, 2018, 07:01:54 AM
I'm a noob at this thing and I'm not even worried.I've had some gains and reinvested in coins I believe there's a future. It doesn't make any sense to sell at such a big loss at this point. My fiat is gone anyway, why would I pull out?

Sure, there's a LOT of shitcoins.I'm glad they'll be gone. But there's so much going on in crypto, there are great projects, growing adoption by companies... I can't see it going anywhere but up.

Well, only if you did your homework and didn't waste your money on shitcoins.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Depending your future in bitcoin... on: May 19, 2018, 06:55:44 AM
There are two distinct ideologies in the community and now they have their separate projects.BTC has the best engineers and minds supporting it.There is a lot of noise and hysteria in this space which is hugely distracting.I'm very happy that maybe now Core can get on with their vision.On-Chain cash is a untenable.BCH crowd want to go back to 'the good ol days' of only 3 years ago like the exact same issues wont happen all over again. What about microtransactions? Never gonna be feasible on-chain.The whole roadmap is so short sighted. On-Chain cash is just not feasible.Incredibly gifted engineers like Andreas Antonopoulos are explaining this yet BCH supporters prefer the opinions of hot headed entrepreneurs who just want to make money.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can somebody steal your btc? on: May 19, 2018, 06:43:07 AM
I would also advise any people mostly companies who have been victim of this kind of threat most recently.Hackers are now even working with corporates to ease this process. So my advice for everyone would be,NOT to send even 1 sats to a wallet which you are not sure to whom it might belong to.Online wallets are wallets waiting to be drained. The back end code is unknown and unseen by the public. It is the opposite of safe.

84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government and Bitcoin on: May 19, 2018, 06:22:40 AM
The government's want their money and they will do everything to make sure they get it.And in the end there is actualy no reason for me to want it in cash besides evading tax.If I want a car why not just transfer the money for example? And besides if I want to buy a car above 10.000,car companies are lawfully obliged to report that with the government. Because who in their right mind would walk around with 10 grand cash to buy a car?.I already knew how it worked a bit before I tried to get my cash, but I didn't expect to get the: "so you want to try and evade tax you little bitch" treatment.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can FUD destroy bitcoin? on: May 19, 2018, 06:20:20 AM
I honestly expect some form of US certified Crypto to exist at some point. It's a clean way to track currency (through blockchain) and secure transactions. However,it will undoubtedly be a non-mineable variety. The only issue is it won't have stock value like Bitcoin does,so people will use the coin but not invest in it.

It will also probably suck, since the government is notoriously inefficient and they would try to sneak in back-channels (i.e. security flaws) that would backfire miraculously.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Is Really A Good Investment or Not? on: May 10, 2018, 11:05:32 PM
Well,to be fair, there's been a huge influx of new ICOs this year.Just because 95% fail, doesn't mean that a smaller number of actual currencies succeed.

Maybe you should look into more low-profile ICO's.I mean, since when is hype a sign of sound business practices?

A new altcoin should have a way to stimulate transactions independently of exchanges. For example, an upcoming ICO called Kudos will replace reward points with altcoin on an existing service.15,000 customers will continue to earn and spend Kudos tokens as they do with regular loyalty rewards.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why so many peoples belived in pump 2018? on: May 10, 2018, 10:53:09 PM
I've never double pumped myself, but I don't see why it's such an issue.

It's not like only one person could be doubled up on the pump in their inventory,so it's not an unfair advantage, since literally anyone could do it at any time.

It's nothing more than a strategic play...you get to pick your weapon lineup, and if you choose to take a second pump, you're missing something else that could be important to the game outside of close combat.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hodl ether ? on: May 10, 2018, 10:49:30 PM
The support is there but crypto doesn't always follow traditional market analysis strategies. If it goes below $1000 I'm going on a buying spree. If not ill just HODL.The only people selling right now are people who are panicking and people who just want to get out because they don't understand the tech or crypto at all but they bought in because joe at the water cooler told them they should.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to bitcoin in the near future? on: May 10, 2018, 10:30:50 PM
I think the next financial crisis will see a few more noobs come into Bitcoin, but because crypto has a steep learning curve for your average computer illiterate Joe,they will probably be too late to rescue their savings from any run on the banks.

But people will wise up,they won't get fooled twice,by the time of the next crisis after that, everyone will know about crypto, and most will be hodling. So it will be then that Bitcoin gets to the Moon.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best wallet for bitcoin? on: May 10, 2018, 10:27:54 PM
Check out coinbin https://coinb.in.It's a Web based wallet, but is javascript based and you control your keys. You can run it completely offline and the toolset allows you to transact with the network as necessary. It's  A very powerful toolset that you should consider.Coinb.in never have access/visibility to your funds/keys/info.
91  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin & College students . on: May 10, 2018, 10:23:27 PM
It really depends on the person I guess.I dropped out of college 3 months ago to start a business.A degree is not needed to make a ton of money. It'll help, sure. But going through college shouldn't be the mindset of people to make 'bank.'

I know plenty of folks older than me who graduated with a bachelor's,but have retail jobs that don't relate to their diploma. Of course they should've chosen a degree that's applicable. But it would've been easier if they didn't just "get a degree," like what most kids are doing these days.

A degree is awesome without a doubt. At the bare minimum, shows that someone is focused and somewhat passionate on a specific subject. But these days, it's not as mandatory as what society thinks

Thanks for reading....
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Cryptocurrency on: May 10, 2018, 10:21:14 PM
Perhaps one aspect is they'll be handled much like a capital asset;when you create and register a business you're also given a valuation in an amount of "coin" -either based on the estimated value of the products or service,or maybe a flat base amount -will not only be a representation of the business value, but it's also tradable as a currency of purchase/sale for your services/products.Oh, and you get to name it.
93  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happend 2140 all BTC are mined on: May 10, 2018, 10:19:44 PM
Is there something I'm not getting here. When there is no more bitcoins to mine, how are you going to create any more blocks in the chain?
If I understood the payment system correctly, more blocks have to be generated in order to verify the correctness of all payments. But as we approach the last bitcoins to be mined the number of hashes required to find a block will approach inifinity. When all the bitcoins have been mined you will have the equivalent of division by 0?
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin in 2018? on: May 07, 2018, 06:43:33 PM
I have a feeling that enough people in the government know that "banning" it isn't really possible.4chan alone has had enough brain power behind it to organize against major institutions. And look at torrents.Literally illegal file sharing that could never have been stopped.

Banning cryptocurrency is going to hurt the US economy much more than it's going to hurt the cryptocurrency long term.Especially since banning it will require efforts beyond what failed to eliminate torrents and child porn. They would have to go full China with it,making all sorts of services illegal and locking the people out of the free internet.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you involved in Cryptocurrency on: May 07, 2018, 05:46:08 PM
This is very well needed advice.I have a traditional personal finance background and have a large portion of my net worth in cryptos but I understand the risk from various perspectives -personal, political, security, economic..etc.I suggest a normal person to invest no more than 20% of their networth under normal circumstances (definitely no lingering deb)
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook banning All crypto ads!! on: May 07, 2018, 05:38:55 PM
I have the following thoughts:
The public is probably better off with the advertising bans in place. The only people who should really complain are the ones who are running scammy ICO's and aren't able to scam people out of their money as easily.
uBlock Origin & FB Purity.Who sees ads anyway?

If you want to delete Facebook,I won't argue.I just don't see why it has to be a reaction to them banning useless advertising. If you want to delete the site from your life,do it because of a dozen other valid reasons.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin destroy the world? on: May 06, 2018, 02:48:59 PM
Bitcoin is unique historically,in that it was the first crypto currency. It is still the largest, but there is nothing permanent about that. The question of "what is the killer app for Bitcoin" is distinct from"what is the killer app for crypto currency".Even if you think some sort of blockchain will have value 100 years from now,the article has nothing to offer about the use of Bitcoin in particular.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin maintaining its popularity ? on: May 06, 2018, 02:45:26 PM
I don't think currency is only to pay off debts to the government, but as far as I can see it that's the main guaranteed, necessary use of it. Everyone will owe taxes, therefore everyone needs money.Because we all need it,it has value.
I struggle to see why anyone needs bitcoin instead of their own currency, I guess. It feels more like a stock than a currency
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Green days are coming for bitcoin on: May 06, 2018, 02:35:48 PM
My theory is this: If I was the trustee,I would wait for the market to gain confidence and then dump my coins periodically. The chart shows that he dumped at 20k 17k and 13k.I think the same person/group of people are pushing the narrative that BTC will reach 50k by the end of 2018;Whilst I am not refuting the idea,I think the same group of people will be conveniently pulling out the rug again.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptos be so volatile forever? on: May 06, 2018, 02:33:51 PM
I think we'll arrive at lower volatility but it will take a long time, decades.right now we're trying to discover the price of a new kind of asset, never before seen in history, and barely considered. the value started from 0 and we don't know what it should be,all we know is it's somewhere between 0 and infinity, but probably not close to either of those.
