There has been so much FUD lately and btc still managed to survive. if anything, FUD will make btc stronger and filter out all the weak hands selling after each fake fud news. We need strong hands holding onto btc despite fud in order for it to grow.

I think FUD is actually needed in bitcoin marketing strategies so people pay attention to bitcoin. Especially the government and banks. But of course the intensity of the FUD as necessary. I agree with you completely because FUD's have existed since the inception of bitcoin and it hasn't been able to prevail over bitcoin until now so i don't think it can easily "destroy" bitcoin now that it has been so decentralized and we have so many adopters/investors all over the world.

FUDs will not break the value as well as the support and trust of the community of investors, mining companies, users ... However, for new or young altcoins. The user base is not relatively large. I honestly expect some form of US certified Crypto to exist at some point.It's a clean way to track currency (through blockchain) and secure transactions.However,it will undoubtedly be a non-mineable variety.The only issue is it won't have stock value like Bitcoin does,so people will use the coin but not invest in it.

It will also probably suck,since the government is notoriously inefficient and they would try to sneak in back-channels (i.e. security flaws) that would backfire miraculously.

if the fud cannot be proved right, bitcoin price will be back to normal price.
