86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have I lost my Bitcash coins forever? (Bitcoin Fork) on: November 12, 2017, 02:28:09 PM
Hi folks,

I haven't been following 'Bitcoin' for a while, I took a break from it all. On returning, I found that I was entitled to 'Bitcash coins' to the equivalent of what I had in my 'Bitcoin' investment. Unfortunately, I missed the fork on 'August 1st' I did not have my 'Wallet.dat' file present on my desktop, in my Bitcoin wallet while the fork was occurring. I had it in external storage instead. At present, I do not have a bitcoin wallet installed on my desktop either.

Is it possible to recover these Bitcash coins? or have I messed up and lost them forever?

Many thanks.

BitcoinCollectorX.

If you had bitcoins at the moment the fork started than you will have bitcoin cash funded. It doesn't matter whether you have the bitcoins on a cold wallet or not, due to the fact that the bitcoins you have are stored on the blockchain and linked to that adress and those bitcoins were used to determine the bitcoin cash that would have been given out.

This can maybe help you further: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2078292.0
87  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ANACS Casascius submission help on: November 12, 2017, 02:20:49 PM
Hello bct friends,

I'm a ANACS newb, never sent anything to get graded/slabbed. If you are familiar with this process, please help me! Hope I posted in the right place.

I have an original unused Casascius coin and a used one...but I don't know what to put the value as, can anyone help?

1. What should I put as the value for an unused 1 BTC Casascius coin?
2. What should I put as the value for the same coin, but used/redeemed?

Of course I would like to pay the least possible, but not do anything dishonest. Any extra guidance advice will be greatly appreciated, might add a tip for the help if it's some valuable knowledge. PM is OK too!

Any help would greatly be appreciated! Thank you in advance  Cheesy

I have never heard of that coin but let me help you in the right direction:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1464255.0

Links mentioned in that thread:
https://casascius.uberbills.com/

Hop you can do something with it, not much information is found on bitcointalk. Maybe try a google search if you don't have your answer or wait till someone that knows it will reply to this thread.
88  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Trust on: November 12, 2017, 01:35:03 PM
Sorry to ask, how do you get positive confidence  Huh

I don't think your native language is english. In regards to your question, positive confidence can be reached by many ways:
https://www.healthyplace.com/blogs/buildingselfesteem/2014/03/10-ways-to-feel-positive-confident/

I like this one:
Quote
Give yourself credit for small, daily accomplishments, even if you are not done. Did you work on cleaning up your closet but still have stacks of clothes to fold? Great, take a moment to focus on what you have done, don’t just wait until a project is finished.

If you mean how to get positive trust, well don't aim at getting positive trust. You should earn trust and not actively chase it. Just spend your time on the forum, learn from the forum and if you have any skills you can sell those skills on the marketplace.

90  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this real? A new fork comming? on: November 12, 2017, 12:12:51 PM
Hi all,

I just started reading and investing a little in altcoins/bitcoins. So im new here, now something past my mind.
I just saw that Bitcoin cash plus was introduced. They say there will be a new fork. Saw the website www.bitcoincashplus.org
So if this is real why isnt the maket reacting like earlier forks? Isn't this real?

Sorry for my english its not my native language

The website says it, so yeah it's real.

Twitter account of theirs: https://twitter.com/bitcoincashplus

so many forks, try to get in on the bitcoin ride it's starting to become annoying, just wait till miners/exchanges starting to acknowledge this coin. If not, it's just a scam site.

Note that the ActBTC address should be considered void: it was used to send out some BCH transactions.

Quoted, but i would like to advise you that you can better stake a bitcoin adress for future use. So you are sure that you can retrieve your account.

Send one PM to Cyrus. If Cyrus doesn't respond after two weeks, you can try sending a PM to me instead. When sending a PM, use a template like this:

In addition to that please move your thread to here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0

Which account are we talking about and did you sign a message with your bitcoin adress?

Thanks,

Unfortunately I don't have have any Key,
but I can prove I have opened the account based on the email used to open it
and the messages I got from the forum,
including the "your account got hacked"

An email won't help you, due to the fact that email adresses can be stolen to proof ownership. Have you never posted a bitcoin adress with your account? Maybe if you provide your user account i or someone else can lookup previous posted adresses.

Here is the official statement, and they will credit BTG if:

Quote
Bittrex will make all reasonable attempts to credit our users BTG but until we have a fully supported wallet, we can neither guarantee tokens or consider creating a market. We will continue to monitor the state of the codebase and network. We'd also like to encourage the BTG development team to reach out to us.

100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Random BTC deposit ...What does it mean??? on: November 11, 2017, 06:04:05 PM
can someone PLS explain wtf is goin on in the transaction below? I got an email saying someone sent me about $4 in BTC ...looking at the details, it seems they've sent to a lot of people and I'd just like to know what it means??

Bitcoin Transaction:
48f069889e139d18d124b69c7914493fee9f475f77241fd2884e438c96b3a7f9

on a side note: should I attempt to accelerate this transaction?

I would be cautious about it, if those coins are coins retrieved by hacking and/or phishing your wallet can be flagged. I have friends that had the same problem but their wallets were on exchanges. The exchanges have temporary blocked their accounts, due to the fact that those coins were earned by fraudulent actions.
