81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is not easy to make money in cryptocurrency on: November 19, 2020, 06:59:58 PM
Believe me my friend, anywhere in the world, it is not easy to make money. If you see any airdrop that promises 100$, 200$, 300$, 500$ and above just for referring peeps, or sharing post online, then it is atmost 99% fraudulent.

Likewise, if you see trade signals that promises certainty, or bounties that promises you a fixed price for your token, be wary. It is not that easy nor realistic.

I must admit this is true, making money in crypto nowadays is not too easy, but with proper strategy and consistency it becomes less tedious. For example, I've mastered a trading technique which works well for me, at least I win 65% of my trades, and I always use tight stop loss for all my price action trading. I think it's not easy to excel in any business or investment, not only crypto. It takes a lot of devotion and efforts to excel and make good profit.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in? on: November 19, 2020, 04:02:51 PM
we should also look at the team working on a project if they are always active then the project will definitely be a success.

Team being active and always roll out updates is a very good point to take note of while investing in a coin. This shows the project is still alive, but this doesn't mean a project with an active team can't rug pull. I'll rather say a well-known active team gives greater hope for holders, an anonymous team being super active is no guarantee the project won't scam. Example PAMP scammed recently after team was active for some time. Also another point to consider is how great is the product, which known companies or organizations are backing the project? How is their marketing like? Where is the coin listed? These are some other factors to consider while investing.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: November 18, 2020, 10:12:57 PM
in my opinion 2017 is the best because many ico are successful and pay bounties, I myself made an extraordinary income in 2017, but it looks like 2020 will follow 2017, now the price of bitcoin has reached its peak, which is $ 18 500.  but ico is still good in 2017 than this year.

Oh how 2017 looks like yesterday, I made some huge gains in 2017 especially from ICO, I can remember WABI giving me cool profit, just for instance. I also gambled with some funds on lending coins then, and made cool profit too. This doesn't mean 2017 is the golden year for crypto no matter the good memories. This year, we've achieved greater milestones in crypto and BTC is gaining the highest traction than ever. In years to come I believe crypto enthusiasts won't regret they invested long term in crypto, BTC and ETH especially.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What' is yours opinion on BNB coin? It's incredible the valu on crypto Market . on: November 18, 2020, 06:19:55 PM
Absuloty the incredible  , Because This Coin alredy moon on the platform, they ha ve very incredible the crypto marketting, the BNB Coin the present valu 28$  they may opinion This Coin incredible in the crypro marketing. Because this Coin supply is very High 🤑

First of all, your write up is self contradictory. How can you say BNB is incredible, then conclude by saying the supply is very High 🤔. BNB is one of my long term bags, the astonishing products rolled out so far by Binance gives me the mindset of holding BNB long term. Binance smart chain addition nailed it, the smart contract function is impressive. Everyone with their own opinion, there is nothing wrong with the total supply since there is quarterly burn for BNB on roadmap.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you are new to crypto this is for you on: November 18, 2020, 12:42:14 PM
1. Learn to control your greed
2. Money making should come last, learning is the first thing to do
3. Do research on exchanges as there are many bad eggs among the good exchanges
4. Follow the crypto investment rule, don't invest more than you can afford to lose
5. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, diversity is the way of winners in crypto space

These 5 points are not only very important to crypto newbies, but to everyone. Many people just want to make money without learning to earn, this is why they easily fall prey to crypto money doubling schemes (HYIP), promising them very huge return on investment. Some people won't even learn the basics of trading and will dive into trading with big funds. Imagine a newbie longing or shorting a coin on futures trading with 50x leverage and getting liquidated, that will be a horrible experience and discouragement. This will be due to two factors, and both are included on the 5 tips posted by OP, which are greed and absence of learning (no. 1 and 2 covers this). Let's always discipline ourselves and have a risk management plan we follow while investing in crypto.
86  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: November 17, 2020, 10:37:26 PM
defi project is not over yet but the hype has started to wane and now we know which projects really survive and those that only pump because of the hype/fomo

Truly the hype around DEFI has diminished drastically, compared to when it just started. I remember already existing projects even in sport betting category switching to DEFI, because just the mention of the DEFI tag causes FOMO and price surge. However, this is not obtainable right now, we all are used to the word DEFI and it's no longer a big deal since many projects spring up in that category. This does not mean DEFI projects ain't striving anymore, Since there are some very good DEFI projects presently.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we getting better over the years on: November 17, 2020, 05:00:06 PM
Yes, obviously we are getting better over the years. Many mainstream organizations picked interest in crypto, from Facebook introducing Libra to PayPal embedding BTC. Now ETH 2.0 launching in couple of days. Very remarkable milestones achieved ovee the years for crypto. Bull run seems to have set in, BTC touched 17k+ again. I'm so excited already
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your thought about New projects? on: November 17, 2020, 03:54:33 PM
Some fraudulent developers are just making things difficult for developers with genuine intentions. Imagine PAMP and BLV owned by same developer (both new projects with hype) exit scam past Sunday, this mentally affects investors affected. How can projects with such great community support, product development and catchy project vision rug pull after everyone thought they are successful. Investing in projects with anonymous team and believing in anon team is like being led by a blind man. Investing in new projects is risky, it's not cool to invest a big percentage of your portfolio in a new project no matter the hype, personally I go in big in a coin when team has proven to be very genuine, public team and other factors like working products and project backings.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A crypto Scammer on the run on: November 17, 2020, 01:26:35 PM
There is actually no nation or race where scammers don't come from, even though places like Nigeria must have been notorious for scams, this doesn't justify that other nations are clean. When I saw that Inksnation scam alert article on Twitter, I was shocked that people can be so gullible and daft to invest in a project with no coin, no blockchain, nothing backing it, telling people that it's proof of charity, backed by human nodes lol. It's funny how greedy newbies got trapped in that shitty scam project. I had to check in their telegram and the pinned message made me laugh for some minutes, it was complete garbage. The likes of TBC lol.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: attention about BCH fork on: November 16, 2020, 09:57:42 PM
I'm surprised that Binance hasn't released BCHABC from the BCH hardfork till now, is it just me or generally? Bitfinex did that already some couple of hours ago, why has Binance not released theirs? If I decide to withdraw my BCH from Binance, hope I get the BCHABC since snapshot has been taken already, I don't like keeping my funds on exchange for too long when I'm not trading it.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seriously Valuable tokens listed on uniswap?.. on: November 16, 2020, 07:55:02 PM
Not really 100% sure on what you mean

Hope i get it correct
What you are trying to say is Why do Valuable Tokens tried to list on Uniswap because most of the coins that listed in Uniswap are mainly DEFI coins
This leads to another point where Valuable token might drop in price if they are not in the DEFI sector?

It is not really bad to list in Uniswap as they are the #1 DEX, and also it is free to list your coins there
Unlike CEX where you need to pay on fees

I've gone through this thread twice to check if OP gave a better explanation of what he means, but to no avail. I can only understand the topic which doesn't correlate with the body. However, I also think he means many projects initially list on uniswap especially DEFI, and everything moved smooth but right now people have mixed reactions about initial listing on uniswap. Uniswap has been a bedrock for many projects actually, especially those with limited funds to list on big exchanges which demand a lot. BZRX which is a big project first listed on uniswap and did exceptionally well, so I don't really understand what OP means by mixed reactions recently.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple the next bitcoin? on: November 16, 2020, 04:16:35 PM
Don't expect Ripple to be the next Bitcoin, Ripple is a very risky project,
there is a lot of controversy there, about the supply they control, etc., so it's better to think for the medium term,
don't think about being the next bitcoin, XRP doesn't deserve that yet.

It's true that controversies surround Ripple, Anyone who even compares XRP and BTC side by side is getting it wrong, BTC is king. XRP which is highly centralized can't be the next Bitcoin which showcases a true decentralized system. I understand Ripple has many achieved milestones over time, including their awesome products for cross-border payment enhancement, however it's still no match for BTC. There is nothing like the next bitcoin, anyone using that phrase need a rethink.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETC a disfunctional blockchain? on: November 16, 2020, 03:11:06 PM
Sold off all my ETC holdings after the last attack, my conception of ETC being among my 5 best rated projects is history right now. However, I still think ETC should do well in future only if there is Blockchain architecture upgrade and also constant updates on their part. I remember when some crypto enthusiasts said ETC is ETH killer wayback, project hypes come and go. What I understand from this is the fact that we should always make the most of any project hype, know when to hold and vice versa.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right investment for cryptocurrency... on: November 16, 2020, 02:13:59 PM
Investing in cryptocurrency requires a strong mentality and is ready to take losses and lose all the money. People will realize when they lose. Maybe you can try it once and think to start learning from small things to invest better.

Yeah, Investing in crypto as we all know involves high level of risk, with respect to the high volatility attached. Some newbie investors get wrong orientation before investing in crypto, some are misled to go in big from onset without learning how crypto works. In situations like this, the new investors will have a negative impression about crypto if they lose a lot of money after investing big and volatility in the negative direction occurs. There is no right amount to invest in crypto, it all depends on individual capability and risk management plan.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin pump and dump on: November 15, 2020, 04:57:30 PM
I was previously a constant investor in altcoins, but over time, the market constantly sits out that there is one of the reasons to sell altcoins, and at the expense of the sale, the reason may also be the lack of news from projects and not getting in touch with the community

When updates stop coming from a project for a month, then investors get worried and start dumping massively. This is the more reason why team members / developers need to always get in touch with community and ensure community support is maintained. Also, when team sells a lot of tokens, trust is broken leading to massive sell off by investors. Once I invest in an altcoin project, I ensure I follow them on all social media, join the project community, most especially I turn on the tweet notifications. This helps me to know when team has given up on the project or to know if coin is worth holding or selling.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bch fork on: November 15, 2020, 03:13:54 PM
Looks like this year's BCH Fork has serious controversy in their company and I think that will certainly affect the BCH price movements in the market, and with such controversy will make BCH have two different blockchain networks and automatically each network will have a value that It is also different from one another, many people think that a split like this is not a good thing and of course it will make this year the worst fork ever and even worse if it will impact the decline in BCH prices in the market due to several exchangers Bigger like Binance will deactivate the BCH deposit and withdrawal options on their exchanges at the time of the hard fork.

I'm holding some BCH and saw a price decline when checking my Binance some minutes ago, not sure if it's related to the points you made or not. I do think splitting of chains for BCH is not the best idea, if there is going to be a blockchain architecture upgrade, both parties should agree in unison, not chain split. I think Roger Ver doesn't want the chain split, but I'm not too technical to fully agree or disagree with him on this. I just hope further peice crash won't come if the wrong decision is taken since I'm a long term holder of BCH. Also I'm wondering how the chain split will occur, whether every holder gets equal half amount in new forked coins or not.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some people stop their crypto project? on: November 14, 2020, 10:04:10 PM
Developers have reasons to suspend projects that they have run for reasons of the market situation and the lack of interest from investors in new projects, failure to achieve the soft caps they are targeting can temporarily stop the project until the developers get the funds they are targeting to develop projects with minimal funds.

Some developers have successful token sale, even hit hardcap but along the line they halt everything about their project. In this case, it's obvious the initial purpose of the project is "money grab" only, without intentions to develop the project. Some will have mind blowing Whitepaper with awesome milestones to be achieved on roadmap, but at the end won't achieve anything. However, some projects do halt due to mismanagement of funds or insufficient funds to continue with project development.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cloud storage isn't safe place for your wallet keys on: November 14, 2020, 08:35:03 PM
There are so many cases of my friends storing private keys in cloud storage, many of them are broken and few are still safe, the factor of the lack of a level of security is what is easy to break
indeed it is not very recommended to store in cloud storage for the type of person who is lazy to improve the security of their own private key, keep the private key private and secure in the sense that it is safe for yourself

It sucks to know that many of your friends store their private keys on cloud storage, I mean are they new to crypto and do not understand the risk associated with that mode of storing private keys? Be it decentralized storage like Internxt or centralized storage like google drive, none is wise to use. Some people do not want to learn from others mistakes but from experience, imagine losing funds after storing sensitive data like private keys or mnemonic phrase on the internet, whether online storage or email(which is worst), no body needs to advise you next time to apply caution when storing your private keys.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hidden team members or not make any difference? on: November 14, 2020, 04:10:58 PM
It's not wrong to go fully anonymous if the team aren't going to ask for crowdfunding like ICO or IEO, there are few projects that have anonymous team and they have very good blockchain problems to solve, the only thing that doesn't sound right is if the team needs fund through ICO or IEO and still go anonymous

This is absolutely correct, I wonder why team members of projects doing token sales will decide to be anonymous and people will still invest, it really baffles me. If they just decide to do an airdrop without token sale, then its ok or if they decide to do a product without launching native tokens. Most scams recently (especially DEFI scams) are related to projects with anonymous team members. I do invest only in projects with known team members and not only that, there must also be very good projects backings showing project is legit.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrowed very important for bounty? on: November 13, 2020, 10:42:40 PM
Honestly escrowed funds is very vital for bounties, infact it's one of the things I look out for when considering a campaign. I give kodus to Bountydetective and some other great managers who escrow most of the Bounty tokens, this ensures hunters are not cheated at the end or do tasks in vain. For instance, if PAYACCEPT Bounty tokens were escrowed, hunters won't be denied of their tokens the way it happened, just to mention.
