881  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why good news didn't push price up? Capital flight it is ! on: July 25, 2014, 05:20:34 AM
bitcoin adoption rate is decreasing

says who? and no, you do not count.

How can you say that the adoption rate is descreasing, in the lasts months there were major companies which adopted bitcoin, and more will follow soon.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Last two Bitcoins on Ethereum on: July 25, 2014, 04:59:53 AM
Ethereum is very promising but no one can say if it will be a nice investment, there are too many unknowns.
You should have invested only a small percent of your capital.
883  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2014 going to be the WORST EVER year for Bitcoin in terms of valuation? on: July 24, 2014, 10:06:11 PM
We are past mid year and so far, this has been the worst year in Bitcoin in terms of price valuation.

No of course not Year 2015 will be much worser. If that is the word.

The word is worse and yes it might be worse for people that don't own Bitcoin (or worse: short them  Shocked)

2014 isn't finished yet, it may be the best year for bitcoin instead of the worst, just wait and hold your precious coins.
884  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I paid with BitCoins but I have never received on: July 24, 2014, 10:03:05 PM

The transaction was successful so there are two options:

1) They haven't take care of your oder
2) Scammers

Wait untill tomorrow, have not yet passed many hours.
885  Other / Off-topic / Re: FREE Hugs on: July 24, 2014, 09:57:09 PM

I know how it feels bro, take this huge hug!

...and wait, tomorrow is another day, it can't rain forever  Smiley
886  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let the games begin on: July 24, 2014, 04:52:50 PM
Yes it was going down but now you have to post the chart updated  Smiley
The drop was quick but the price isn't crashed, just a little drop after weeks of stagnation.
887  Economy / Speculation / Re: August: Bull, flat or bear ??? on: July 24, 2014, 04:49:43 PM
I'm bullish, it's the easier and safer option, just hold and see what will happen without the
risk of losing pieces of bitcoins along the road to the new all time high.
888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dafuq is happening with btc price on: July 24, 2014, 04:46:46 PM
I think I can explain what's happening with the price.

Some over-greedy people with low IQ moved almost all of their coins to places called MtGox and SilkRoad, where they could speculate freely and buy illegal stuff. Doing that, they ignored and defeated the most important part of bitcoin: decentralization and put into the hands of a few entities hundreds of thousands of coins (Mark, USMS etc)

The Silk Road and MtGox events are very important milestones in Bitcoin's history and personally I do hope that both Mark Karpeles and Ross William Ulbricht face at least 20+ years of jail time for their deeds. Their 'businesses' had good parts also and if we were in an ideal world, I would oppose jail time and put their asses to hard work, but since this is not possible, jail it is.

Their actions brought immense bad news over Bitcoin as a whole and stopped much of the adoption phase. We have also the 'speculators', which buy and sell bitcoins only for fiat profit (never ever forget that, it's all about $) - they help a lot to crash the price, which in turn brings bad bad news. There is a small fraction of speculators which try to make their BTC holdings bigger, but that's another matter.

While I do not wish for it to happen, because too many people would suffer, a global financial crysis would put Bitcoin right next to gold and silver and potentially make it a New World Currency. But that would be a forced adoption in my opinion and I'm pretty sure we'll see lots of tears from the people that heard, used, speculated, mined or stolen bitcoin and never understood what's it's purpose. I'm sure that each one of us will regret of having even 1 BTC and not putting it to storage for a long time.

This is a nice explanation of what is happening, in few years we will look at these threads and laugh rolling over the floor
because the value will be so high that the 1000$ barrier will seem really close to zero.
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List major btc exchanges on: July 24, 2014, 04:39:46 PM
Bitstamp is one of the most trusted exchanges but there are also some minor ones which are nice, like Cryptsy, Poloniex, Bittrex or Mintpal.
890  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Pay on Amazon with Bitcoins on: July 24, 2014, 04:36:09 PM

Vanquish: Aston Martin's sports car

what the fuck... i feel like ferrari / aston martin = monster?

This is a LaFerrari by Ferrari, not an Aston Martin Vanquish.
Here an example of the Vanquish, it's really beautiful but not as fast as the italian car:

892  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Want to know about Provably fair... on: July 24, 2014, 04:23:40 PM
Gambling sucks, you will lose in the long run due to house edge.

Yes, even if you play in provably fair websites.
There are many betting methods to try, but no one can ensure a long term win.
You are playing against the site owners, not against other players, therefore you are fated to lose.
893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways To Earn Bitcoin on: July 24, 2014, 04:18:10 PM
Can i do sig campaings as a newbie?

Yes, you can join the 777coin sig campaign (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654009.0) and get 0.00004 BTC (4000 satoshi) per constructive post.

The gain as a newbie is really low but posting daily will help you to better understand bitcoins and alts, so it's a win-win situation.
While your activity increases, you experience goes up at the same time.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero (MRO) Speculation thread on: July 24, 2014, 04:13:36 PM
Will the support hold?

I'm holding long term, the ones selling are called weak hands and I'm sure they will buy back at loss later  Smiley

895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ::::::: The Great Pumper - Rpietila ::::::: on: July 24, 2014, 04:08:19 PM
If he really wanted to artificially pump XMR, the price would be at least 0.1 right now. He simply has more than enough BTC to do so.

He stated that he invested less than 1 or few percent of total BTC holding into XMR, and that amount alone made him one of biggest XMR holders (if not the biggest)/

I think Rpietila really believes in Monero and isn't trying to manipulate the market,
maybe he's only too much excited about it.
896  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Bitcoin Will Be Worth before end of 2014 on: July 24, 2014, 03:53:49 PM
Any new thoughts given the price drop today?

This drop could be have triggered by the new big companies like Dell Newegg etc because maybe
they are cashing out all the bitcoins earned in these first days of commerce.
897  Economy / Economics / Re: Is 1 bitcoin a decent and good investment? on: July 24, 2014, 03:50:13 PM
If you can afford to lose 1 btc then yes, it's a nice investment because one bitcoin could be valued $100.000 in the future but it could also fall to $0.
898  Economy / Economics / Re: question: how can i grow my bitcoins on: July 24, 2014, 03:47:31 PM
I think this 4 idea is good :
1. Cloud mining
2. Gambling / become the bankroll (choose a great gambling site)
3. Loan your BTC (be careful)
4. Sell your BTC when price is high

I think we all want to grow our bitcoins. You just have to find your tolerance for risk since there's no profit without taking risks. Question is how much risk for how much profit?

Bigger Risk, Bigger Proft
Small Risk, Small Profit
I'm only take small risk (cloud mining)

1 Cloud mining isn't profitable anymore, you have to be very lucky in order to have some ROI.
2 Gambling is the fastest way to lose all your bitcoins.
3 Loan is very risky, there are people who loans without collaterals, don't do it.
4 Just hold if you aren't an experienced trader.

899  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dafuq is happening with btc price on: July 24, 2014, 03:41:33 PM
Any you guys think were gonna rebound to $630?

Or continue heading South?

Short term we should fall a bit, maybe because of the new companies adopting bitcoins and cashing out,
but mid term the value will rise, I'm waiting September with excitement...
900  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 'to hit $2000' by end of the year | ThecTelegraph | #bitcoinprice on: July 24, 2014, 03:38:14 PM
$2000 seems too high expecially looking at today charts, but it isn't.
With the increasing adoption the value will be at a new ATH in few months, maybe Russia can ignite the spark for the next rally.
