821  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin QT ever look more "pretty"? on: July 28, 2014, 02:46:57 PM
Someone should do a sort of skin changer and upload a skin database on a website where people can contribute with their creativity Smiley
822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain’s Bitcoin App Reinstated in Apple’s App Store on: July 28, 2014, 02:44:02 PM
It's been a long time coming. I wonder what the actual delay was seeing as they announced they were allowing them back a while ago.

About bloody time
Not expecting any meaningful price upside as a consequence though

What? Why would the price rise due to it? It's free app.

Because some traders buy when they read good news and sell bad news, but recently we have seen that the price won't follow them.
823  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price peak cycle ~33 weeks on: July 28, 2014, 01:26:06 PM
If you're looking at the peak of the bubbles and the start of the run, we're now at 4/3, where 3/3 marks the place where last year's November bubble begun. But if you take into consideration, that the first bubble of 2013 had a shorter time to prepare for its run-up, we are indeed looking at increasing intervals, and thus still perfectly on track.

That's true and people should consider that (in my opinion) the more we are in this stagnant period, the higher the next peak will be.
824  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3 years ago...let's reminisce on: July 28, 2014, 01:23:04 PM
3 years ago I bought 5 6970s and 2 6990s to mine bitcoins and thought I was da shitz...
Now, compared to those huge mining outfits I am just chickenshitz.

But those were good times baby seriously good times!

That was a great amount of hashpower for the time, how many coins did you mine with such hardware?
I suppose you have sold some of them, or have you holded hard?
825  Economy / Speculation / Re: Follow My Call on: July 28, 2014, 01:18:00 PM
On what basis do you assume that the drop will stop at 520$, have you seen some big resistance/buy orders at that price, and on what exchange?
826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Timothy Coles is Selling His $2 Million Gold Mine for Bitcoin on: July 28, 2014, 12:48:59 PM

If the sale will end well there will be another wave of adopters coming in the bitcoin business, I hope some whale will buy it soon.
827  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 28, 2014, 12:44:03 PM
For those who need help keeping track of their starting post, it might be easier to enter the number into one of your profile's random spots - for me I put 1721 for example into my ICQ number - I just update it with my new count every month.  Makes it easier for me to track - a lot easier than showing last post and counting back to the 17th.

Usually I write the starting post in a simple text file.
Probably your method is better because you can see the number even from a different pc, I'll follow your advice thanks.
828  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should I do with over $4-5 worth in BTC? on: July 28, 2014, 12:20:59 PM
I'm not a game fan , I would personally would gamble It and try making at least $20 from It then I would hold or think how could I invest them and make even more. But if you decide to gamble you should minimally know what you are doing.

This should be a nice solution, 5$ are really a low amount of money, try some dice site and have some fun.
Investing them in bitcoins is safer but even if btc value will double, you will have earned only 5$.
829  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: stolen coins on: July 28, 2014, 12:15:10 PM
Just make a true cold storage wallet using a linux live cd without internet connection and copying the wallets on different usb drives.
Place them in some different locations, there's no need for passwords.
830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's brave/stupid enough to invest their life savings into Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2014, 12:07:25 PM
I would invest a great part of my life savings in bitcoins, maybe not 100% of them, but 75% yes.
My problem is just that I cannot convince my wife to do so Smiley
831  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cloud mining difficulty on: July 28, 2014, 09:07:31 AM
Thanks for taking the time to answer guys Wink

So another question: is there a way of earning btc next to mining and trading? Or which coin would be worth investing in?

You may post in the forum at least 1 time a day and after three months you could earn bitcoins joining a signature camapaign.
832  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Core So Slow - Need more than autism for bitcoin to work on: July 28, 2014, 09:03:30 AM
Another solution, if you really want to use bitcoin core, could be buying an usb flashcard with the blockchain previously
downloaded into it, there are some users who are selling them in the market section.
833  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: new to bitcoin and trading, please help. on: July 27, 2014, 07:54:15 PM
If you don't know anything about trading, just read some books about technical analisys,
but if you really want to have some profit with bitcoins, buy them and hold long term.
834  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have to start-stop bitcoin core because it gets stuck on: July 27, 2014, 07:52:19 PM
What cpu/harddisk has your pc and what speed has your internet connection?
Maybe you have to install a SSD disk, you should write more informations about the problem.
835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much Bitcoin would you like to have at the end of 2015? on: July 27, 2014, 07:02:52 PM
I would want to have just one bitcoin, I had more in the past but with my awesome trading skills I have lost almost all of them.
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi will ever spend his bitcoins? on: July 27, 2014, 06:53:56 PM
In my opinion, if Satoshi is still alive, he will wait to spend bitcoins untill the adoption will be complete,
there's no reason to spend them if they are increasing in value every year with this ratio.
837  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3 years ago...let's reminisce on: July 27, 2014, 06:46:55 PM
...the price to go up every year

3 years from now, a much bigger group of members will be talking about the huge Rally in late 2014!

Maybe it can take some months, maybe an year, but bitcoin will surely hit a new ATH sooner or later, just hold and wait for it.
838  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can somebody predict the price of bitcoin using this model in 2016! on: July 27, 2014, 06:44:05 PM
I've read a nice study of bitcoin price in gbianchi predictions, if someone could compare the two models should be interesting.
839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is Dying, And why it is different this time. on: July 27, 2014, 06:12:54 PM

Tic Toc!

Buys back in at a loss in 3...2...1...

You'll make up for it in the next jump. Many of us made the same mistakes. That's how we learn.

As we have seen in the past years, when the despair is spreading among the holders and the weak hands sell all their bitcoins,
the rally starts.
840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Facebook trying to profit from Cryptos ? on: July 27, 2014, 06:04:08 PM
there is a single script kiddie that made all of those altcoins as his pump and dump to make money out of fools that swap their valuable bitcons for his worthless couple dozen coin designs..

he now wants to try making them appear useful by making an app. and promoting it through coindesk.. i even suspect the OP is a sockpuppet of the coin dev and using a subtle form of advertising here..

all in all dont trade your bitcoins for those worthless altcoins

This ^ is probably what has happened here.

Silly kiddies. Cheesy

its quite a sobering lesson to learned but all in all it can produce some decent profits if your not the person left holding the alts

Trading alts is very risky but the gains could be huge, with pump and dump coins just try to be on the right side.
