181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain games on: July 14, 2020, 02:07:54 PM
cool an other game to watch

do you like streetfighter game ... beatem up comes to blockchain

https://discord.gg/AhdrQrV

This ETHfighter looks interesting, how come I'm just coming across it. Is it a new blockchain game? My problem with most blockchain games is that most lag in controls and graphics can't be compared to mainstream games. I believe constant improvement has been taking place in this sector but a lot need to be done. Rome wasn't built in a day anyway. I will join the discord group 👍.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big Chance (to grow) with small coins - which one? on: July 13, 2020, 07:35:33 PM
I'm currently considering ANKR and CELR for long term hold, but I'm yet to decide since I hold very few altcoins considering the risk involved for long term. I'm just so impressed with their development so far. I was also considering DREP but ever since presale investors funds were released, price kept being low so much so that the mainnet upgrade didn't affect the price. The sure altcoin to hold is ETH in my opinion, lets see what ETH 2.0 brings.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get moved by fake good news on: July 12, 2020, 10:30:33 PM
I have received lot of messages lately, requesting me to join their platform. What a strange thing, I'm still surprise till now, how can you tell me that you built a site that can mine Bitcoin and Ethereum. They are requesting for almost $50 to register. And I keep thinking when we people learn. And people that have no knowledge of how the Blockchain works will be carrying the news around. Decieving people with fake news to swindle them of their hard earn money.

The most annoying one is that mentioned by OP, whereby a scammer persuades you saying God will bless Mr Anderson ( or any other name) for helping him out, now he is rich. Saying you should invest and be made like him. This looks 100% like outright scam yet these scammers still get people fall for their scams. Funny enough on telegram they get banned more often and then they create new accounts to continue their scams. If it looks so good to be true, then it's scam, do not take uncalculated risk with your crypto assets.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get moved by fake good news on: July 12, 2020, 02:25:14 PM
You are browsing through Twitter or telegram and you come in contact with news like this '𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙨𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝  Mr George Anderson ịt has been a life changing experience and a God sent to humanity 𝙞𝙣𝙗𝙤𝙭 𝙝im 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙖 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚'
Join link???

When ever you come across such it's a total scam, it's never real to begin with, it's just a fake good news to lure you into a trap, do not bother to read

The fact is people who make it big aren't always ready to share news about how they do it

I believe most crypto enthusiasts are already aware of that cheap scam method, it's the usual spam in most groups from clone accounts. Some will even chat you that they want you to also benefit from Mr. Bla bla bla who aided them with a money making strategy in a bid to scam you. I normally block such people and when I see their spam posts in groups, I just laugh and skip.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ICO vs Bad ICO on: July 12, 2020, 06:32:30 AM
For you to know what is a good and bad ICO. Look mainly to what they are proposing to the community. If it guarantees profit for most investors, you must be scared of it. You know what? there's no such investment that will guarantee their investors. It's just an attractive word so that people will invest to them that have the feeling of making easy money and getting back their returns quickly. If the project you are interested in is like that, then think twice.

Lol so true, if any ICO promises investors that they must make profit after investing, its already a red flag since its not professional. I stumbled on one ICO recently called kingcasino, which claimed they sold out pre sale and promise investors huge returns, after successfully fooling investors, they pinned a note on their telegram mocking investors for foolishly believing what they promised. If the team is not credible, even with awesome MVP or product, the project will end up being a scam.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone trading Stellar coin? on: July 11, 2020, 01:45:40 PM
I sold off my XLM bag at 1050 sats yesterday, since i got in very early. I normally do not hold altcoins just because influencers predict price rise in future, I do my technical analysis and decide the price to sell which will fetch profit snd not otherwise. However, I'm a big fan of Stellar, since I benefited from their airdrop in the past and the team members keep developments rolling. My altcoin profit is principally for adding more BTC to my portfolio.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: July 10, 2020, 01:29:58 PM
I'm holding a bulk of NAGA coin (NGC) which I bought due to their solid products and hype created by Roger Ver  being their advisor. I would have sold but greed took a whole of me since my major aim for the token was long term investment. It's one of my greatest mistakes in crypto space since I bought up to 5000$ NGC now worth garbage lol. I'm also holding Ersitica (ERT) when McAfee hype on Twitter was still invoke. We learn from mistakes, holding is ok but taking profit is ultimate.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ethereum investment for future ?? on: July 10, 2020, 12:29:50 PM
For the gas price now, i think this is not good idea. Better to try BCH or Tron for investment.
And maybe doge is good because yesterday doge price is pump.

I will like to know what makes DOGE a better investment than ETH, aside the gas fee? I believe with the ETH 2.0 upgrade the fees will reduce, just saying. However, I still prefer ETH to the coins you mentioned (BCH and DOGE) notwithstanding. Imagine what happens when ETH 2.0 upgrade is completed and fees reduce, plus the DEFI hype increasing. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions anyway, I'm not disputing yours.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No exchange? No Value! on: July 09, 2020, 10:18:28 PM
So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.

So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.  Undecided

Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

What do you think I should do now?

It's a pity but just hope the team list on a new exchange, that's if the project is not dead and gone
Most team members forget about a project if they hit their target of cashing out from it which is terrible. I had to withdraw my INXT from coinexchange before they closed up but luckily for me, they listed on mercatox after that so I dumped there. I hope you didn't invest huge anyway. Just hold and be hopeful for a good update from the project , nothing more to do.

191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good or bad plan? on: May 14, 2020, 11:52:35 AM
Are we at the bitcoin bottom already? Ethereum falls pretty hard today just because Bitcoin hit 9110$, is this just a correction or the coronavirus at play again? I'm thinking about buying back BTC right now
I still think this is not a good time to buy BTC at prices above $ 9k. In order for your portfolio to be safe, Bitcoin needs to break the $ 10k5 mark to confirm a strong bull run. But if you buy now, the risk is quite high because we don't know what the next trend of the market will be. there may be a strong dump from the whales to continue collecting bitcoin and will push its price higher in the future. The best thing to do now is wait patiently.

The best thing to do is increasing your stop limit as the price pushes up. I'm still in support of the opinion that a bull run will set in if we cross 10.5k, but probably we need some correction before then in order to gain more momentum. Some part of my portfolio are in USDT so I set an order to buy BTC and also ETH at lower prices incase there is a sharp dump. This way, I don't worry much if the market is bullish or bearish. But I still have some BTC and ETH in my personal wallet which I don't trade.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Traders be careful on: May 13, 2020, 08:50:20 PM
Even you are trading based on trading Signals from telegram groups, twitter groups or any social media handles I would say you have to be extremely careful because some of them are paid to do so and some have provided wrong signals that made many jump in coins without verifications. It's best you do your own research than following what people say.

Exactly, even some so-called paid signal groups are garbage. Sometimes i just laugh when some telegram channels post supposed successful signals given to VIP channel, luring gullible traders to join the VIP channels. A friend paid 2000$ to join a paid group and still lost about 1300$ from their leverage trading buy call. Best way to succeed in crypto is to stick to what works for you as OP mentioned.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram abandons TON on: May 13, 2020, 04:15:19 PM
The major reason why the SEC did everything possible to put TON launch to a stop is because Telegram already has a very gigantic user base, hence this means bringing more people to own crypto, they don't want that. Same scenario faced by LIBRA, even though they are doing everything possible to comply with all regulations. I felt bad seeing the halt of TON, after the long wait. It's a pity for those who had high hopes and invested, even though they will be refunded.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: May 12, 2020, 08:06:40 PM
I became interested in the cryptoqurrency and blokchain technology because it's essentially a technical revolution that has involved the masses, and its can bring the change of monetry world . I belive the future of cryptoqurrency is so impressive and prospective, in my opinion the world will be interested in cryptoqurrency today / tomorrow .

Most people all over the world are already interested in crypto, and own crypto, the big question is ; when will there be a global adoption of crypto in most sectors? I guess that will happen when suitable regulations have been enacted even though it will take more time to be actualized. Most people keep saying they are involved in crypto because of the technology, to be candid the tech aspect alone did not attract most of us to crypto, making profit on investing in crypto is the number one driving force.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Big Debate of 2020: The Bitcoin vs Altcoin Market. on: May 12, 2020, 07:09:42 PM
Quite long but interesting article, really helpful especially for newbies into crypto/blockchain. Sometime in the past, i was in the opinion that there was no need for newer altcoin. But with time I understood that there is need since we need improvement in blockchain architecture, and other aspects. If everyone kept using BTC for transactions, and there was no altcoin, the network will be clogged every now and then. However, many now regard the king more like a store of value, which isn't a bad idea. I'm really impressed with some details on some top altcoins on the article, especially ETH and LINK. ETH project birthed smart contracts and the trending DEFI, which couldn't have been achievable if there was no other coin aside BTC. For a fact most people dump their altcoins whenever they are in profit, but hold BTC longterm, reason why BTC dominance persist with a wide margin.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl altcoins or..? on: May 11, 2020, 10:13:45 PM
Well I would prefer to trade Bitcoin than holding any altcoin now because it might get to where it won't be able to recover again. One needs to thread with caution so as not to lose heavily.

If Bitcoin moves sideways now that halving has been done, do you think altcoins won't spike up in price? Many altcoins dumped massively while BTC was on uptrend, especially in satoshi value. As for me, right now 60% of my portfolio will remain in BTC, while the remaining 40% will be in 3 altcoins. I already bought more ETH and BNB today, hoping for the best. Soon ETH 2.0 news should cause an uptrend for ETH everything being equal, just my opinion anyway.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dont sell off because of the period on: May 11, 2020, 06:15:11 PM
There are a lot of people conquered by there fear and we cannot blame them because they are not emotionally stable to make decisions even they already know the risk of having investment into the world of cryptocurrency today there are a lot of altcoins needed to hodl for a long term investment because of the halving this change a lot and does not give any opportunity to the investors to get a lot of market profit or income. But still, you can make alternatives like trading with the altcoins but the investment is a really big no for now.
Most altcoins dipped significantly due to the halving expectation of Bitcoin, everyone is just trying to reduce risk since normally the satoshi value of most altcoins should go down with the having news. For example, my SL for OGN hit at 0.24 USDT, then it dipped further  to 0.17 USDT. In essence, do not entirely blame those who dump their altcoins at this time, its a general market perception. Once BTC starts a sideways movement, some alts prices will start spiking up again since the buy pressure will be high.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Million money is a wrong way, if truly you owant to invest in crypto currency on: May 10, 2020, 12:32:33 PM
I laughed hard when i saw million money referral links spamming a few crypto groups i belong to. People do not understand that these so called mlm investments online with faceless developers are ponzi. One day, they will surely bounce with investors' funds. There have been a few crypto investment platforms similar to this, looking so genuine but at the end, it will be glaring that it's scam. Even newbies who never knew about crypto started flooding their statuses with million money referral writeups. Ponzi everywhere, wise up!
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to escape loss as an altcoin trader on: May 09, 2020, 06:32:52 PM
There is no way out for escape loss while trading, its hard to say that you can surely be able to profit from any altcoin trading . Sometimes some hype / rumour about bitcoin can bring some bucks but that can be called escape loss from altcoin . Different peoples have Different trading strategy for their altcoin trading , AS a reason an altcoin trader bitcoin is the mother of all altcoin ,so reason behind converting their profit to the bitcoin is so obvious . Always do your research before investing .

I do agree with your first line, there is obviously no way out to stay out of loss completely as a trader. But if you focus on what strategy works for you and maintain it, you will be winning most of your trades but that's if you are good with technical analysis. My strategy for trading alts is this; i donot aim for too big profit, i set stop loss for all trades, i do not use big funds for leverage trading, i convert to USDT when i analyze and think the market will dump, i hold a bulk of my portfolio in Bitcoin without trading it.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always consider and be a wise investor! on: May 09, 2020, 04:55:39 PM
Right now most crypto enthusiasts are wiser, after series of scams in the past. The major reason why many stick to IEOs done on reputable exchanges is to reduce the risk of being scammed, atleast when you participate in IEOs done on reputable exchanges, you are sure getting your coins and also listing even if the price goes below IEO. There are some key factors to know a scam project on spot; do a thorough review on the team and also check their strategy. If for instance they focus more on brainwashing people to buy rather than showcasing an MVP or product that will attract investors, then they are obviously not genuine.
