The FBI comments have been widely reported as part of an FBI press conference. Forbes did not make them up.

The FBI has announced this individual is being sought for the murder of the police officer. You can see him holding the fire extinguisher. Some people have suggested that CFD means Chicago Fire Department. I don’t know about that.

I guess you would support passing Patriot Act 2.0 as the proper response.
They'll say we need it, in order to prevent future riots.
No I would not. I would say that you need to prosecute people that break the law. Existing laws are sufficient, they just need to be enforced. In particular, people that murder police officers who are trying to do their job need to face the full force of the law. And politicians that tell that crowd an hour previously that "“We fight like hell, and if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore" bear responsibility for whipping up and inciting the crowd. A direct quote from Trump. Now it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy. And after this, we’re going to walk down, and I’ll be there with you. … We are going to the Capitol, and we are going to try and give — the Democrats are hopeless, they are never voting for anything, not even one vote, but we are going to try — give our Republicans, the weak ones, because the strong ones don’t need any of our help, we’re try — going to try and give them the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country.” Now I know all the Trump apologists on this thread are going to say that he didn't incite violence and that he didn't mean it. But in your hearts you know he wanted a riot and you know that he deliberately held back the National Guard and prevented the brave officers on the hill from getting the support they so desperately needed. This was an attempted militia coup, and we are all very lucky that it failed. Some might think that a rioting crowd erecting a gallows is just a prank, but that's not how others see it. The fact that a number of rioters were carrying large packages of zip tie restraints indicates they intended to use them.

And they did kill two cops. Oops, guess that was an accident.
We don't know the circumstances in those unfortunate and senseless deaths. I can't believe they were killed by Honest-To-God America-Loving Trump supporters. That is indeed a cognitive disconnect. I see it more reasonable to suspect Antifa or left wing agitators as being responsible for those deaths. EDIT: Eg: https://twitter.com/ReaICosy/status/1348898226687143937That first dude totally looks like an agitator. That's some real home-grown patriotic America-loving behavior, I'll tell you hwat. EDIT2: Maybe I just am that out of touch with things. Who knows. This video shows the moment that a police officer is separated from the other officers. It is believed that this is the video of Officer Brian Sicknick being beaten to death by the crowd but that has not been independently confirmed. The video is not for the faint of heart. It is nasty. I note in particular the rioter with the long dark hair beating the officer with his American flag pole, while another rioter takes the policeman's helmet and puts it on his own head. Link to video here: https://www.tmz.com/videos/2021-01-10-011021-capitol-chaos-new-angle-4909030/In any event the FBI is seeking to charge the people who killed the officer (who was in full uniform) with felony murder. It is only a matter of time before they are caught. With all due respect to the conservatives on the thread, this is a Trump crowd and there is no one going to the aid of the officer. There are however a lot of people beating on the officer. I do not accept that the officer's death was somehow accidental or that it was not caused by the Trump crowd. Alot of people are involved in killing this officer and no one appears to be trying to help him.

Not at all, simply comparing the market to early 2018 after a massive bull run.
Massive bull run? This ain't no massive bull run son. We're only twice the old top. This is like a calf hobbling around trying to find its balance. When we're over 100k, we can talk about massive bull runs. Word

Part of the problem here is that Parler is funded by Robert Mercer. Robert Mercer was a founder of Cambridge Analytica and funder of Breitbart. I think this one individual has done more to divide America than anyone else (including Trump). And it has been highly profitable for him. There has been no attempt to hold Robert Mercer accountable for his actions. This needs to change. The FBI should dig into his electronic correspondence to see if he had a role in the Capitol Riots. https://www.reuters.com/article/parler-funding-mercer/social-media-platform-parler-gets-backing-from-mercer-family-wsj-idUSKBN27V020Robert Leroy Mercer (born July 11, 1946)[2] is an American hedge fund manager, former principal investor in the now-defunct Cambridge Analytica,[3] computer scientist who was an early artificial intelligence researcher and developer, and former co-CEO of the hedge fund company Renaissance Technologies.[2][4][5] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_MercerEdit: he also supported the Brexit campaign. This guy is dark. Mercer played a key role in the campaign for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union by donating data analytics services to Nigel Farage.[6] To no one’s surprise, he is a racist. Mercer has said that the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the landmark federal statute arising from the civil rights movement of the 1960s, was a major mistake. In 2017, David Magerman, a former Renaissance employee, alleged in a lawsuit that Mercer had said that African Americans were economically better off before the civil rights movement, that white racists no longer existed in the United States, and that the only racists remaining were black racists. I think we can solve a lot of these problems and heal America through campaign finance reform. If we stop the firehose of money flowing from billionaires to politicians, we can eliminate much of the corruption. The Democrats control all three arms of government for two years and they have the means to overturn much of the US campaign finance laws. This will fix at least some of the sickness at the source. Unfortunately I have my doubts that they can do it with such a narrow majority, they only need one dissenter.

Definitely would not be hiding it!...
The new Lambos really make me feel "Meh". The Hurrican is kind of a flat pancake and not too fast on the track. Feels more like an Audi. Then again the new Porsches also feel like Audis but at least you can still spin a GT3. Not bad... just kinda meh. I wonder what the new "you put a what in a WHAT?" kind of car would be these days. A lot of it will be electrification. A Model S Performance drivetrain in a VW Kombi van.

Also this. I mean they can easily touch the databases.
I’m not a system architect but expect it really depends on the setup. If they are using Bring Your Own Key (which they should be...) then it’s all encrypted and AWS doesn’t have the key.

That's some really scary shit, how six filthy rich people can control 90% of the online communication. People on the extreme left are too stupid to realise that they are actively advocating that everyone just becomes a consumer in the end. There will not be a Twitter for the average user if this goes on, with the reason: "well words on the internet can be too dangerous". You will literally only have blue tick Twitter users and Grey tick YouTubers with comments switched off. Consider that 20-25 years ago people started to go on the internet as it had alternative voices to media corporations - tv - newspapers etc. The internet is slowly turning into the thing that people got bored with. Perhaps people who grew up with the internet already there don't realise that? I reckon with communication being that easily controlled by these cowards (cowards, because they all seem to act in tandem with big bans - deplatforming) I don't see how marginalising Bitcoin is impossible. People are also blind to the 2 other main reasons why Big Tech and Wall Street want to shut Parler down: 1) Big Tech social media and MSM competitor (hundreds of millions would migrate from Twitter, FB, etc.) 2) Parler CEO has vowed that his company would never collect and sell user data to govt, alphabet soups, or Wall StreetThe powers that be won't be having it. Security researchers claim that the scrapped posts are linked to accounts that posted them, and some of the video and image data have geolocation information. That is said also to include data from Parler’s “Verified Citizens,” users of the network who verified their identity by uploading photographs of government-issued IDs, such as a driver’s license.
The data might prove valuable to law enforcement since many who participated in the riots deleted their posts and videos afterward. The data scrape includes deleted posts, meaning that Parler stored user data after users deleted it. A sample quote: https://cybernews.com/news/70tb-of-parler-users-messages-videos-and-posts-leaked-by-security-researchers/

On Kraken orders were limited to "limit post only", don't know what that means, I managed to execute one finally. If I can guess: is that to prevent a micro crash from market orders? That makes sense. But even regular limit orders weren't accepted, I had to go to the charts etc. and there is something to tick "Post Only" and that did the trick. The rule prevents market orders, including limit sell orders which are above the current market price and thus operate as market orders. They are trying to support a market with thin books.

I am growing quite fond of political posts.
If btc shows no movement or whatsoever, then politics is the next topic I guess There are other annoying topics we could try as well. How about religion or sports? Tell us a story about the Blue Jays Jimbo.

Was talking to a surgeon dude the other day, and he brought up an interesting per-capita point about India having a relatively low death rate. Even in the densest slums packed with over 2 million people, the death rate is pretty low. Why ? It's because they are all on HCQ over there for anti-malaria purposes. They make the stuff in India, so it's passed out like candy at $0.02 a pill. Just need one dose a week. HCQ, coupled with Zinc, has been proven to reduce cytokine storm severity, providing prophylactic capability against severe COVID-19 infection. Called my doctor, after talking to surgeon dude, asking for HCQ as prophylaxis, and doctors are largely refusing to fill orders for it in the US, for, reasons. Everything is dumb. There is some weird shit going on in Sweden as well The death rate is suddenly dropping for no apparent reason. Sweden has this weird delayed reporting system where they keep adding to the death toll of a day over several weeks. So their curve is always looking like the death toll is dropping, and is then adjusted upwards later.
