I have been investing in Bitcoins in a long time now and I will continue for few more years before stopping. Then I have a plan to keep all my Bitcoins in a cold storage for my retirement. If everything goes well I might retire early. Although each person can use bitcoin for different purposes, it cannot be denied that the vast majority of people consider bitcoin as an investment more than any other purpose, and I am also one of them. We can use bitcoin to protect our privacy, our own banking, but perhaps profit is what we really seek from bitcoin. Because in my opinion, if we don't have money, what's the point of protecting privacy? No government or robber will care about a person without money, and privacy in this case really means nothing. There are still some people who want to make Satoshi's idea a reality of turning bitcoin into a currency, but I agree with you that bitcoin will not become a currency because it is slow and expensive. Bitcoin is really not suitable to be a currency. |
