You can't see nodes either? May I know what OpenSSL version the other clients are using?

edit - It works for me. Are you placing the nodes in EnergyCoin.conf in the EnergyCoin folder in Application Support folder.

yup ...

files in energycoin folder are: bootstrap.dat, energycoin.conf, peers.dat, blkindex.dat, and folder called database with log in it.

It's not energycoin.conf, it's EnergyCoin.conf. The case is very important.

Fully fixed and working. I couldn't really pinpoint the issue so I just compiled it using an older toolchain.

I'm working on it...but this is a fairly old coin with some VERY outdated code that just does not play nice with OS X.

I'm having to rewrite all of the OS X notification support code, and there is a 8 character macro definition that errors out being used all over the place.

As I'm not really a "dev" or part of the MintCoin team, and don't know of any bounty for a fresh mac compile, other projects are taking priority right now.

I've compiled the wallet with minimal codebase changes. I'll release it for 25USD worth of anything, BTC preferred.

Simple really.

1. Open the start menu, search for "variables" and click on "Edit the system environment variables"

2. Then click on "Environment Variables"

3. Scroll down to Path and then click on edit.

4. Add "C:\mingw32\bin;" to the beginning or ";C:\mingw32\bin" to the end. ";" is needed at the end of each location if something comes after it but not if it's the last entry.

Beginning:

Remember it only needs to be in one place, that place being the end or the beginning doesn't really make a difference.

Then just click on OK again till all the windows close.
