81  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [140PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: June 15, 2018, 12:56:49 PM
Genie, what confuses me is that overnight I went from just under $10 to pocket change this morning using your online tool
I am using Gekkoscience pods and sticks, but also an Antminer V9
I did note in a previous post that my ID on this pool was showing an additional worker which made no sense (3)
My max workers should be 2 (it is now) as the Gekkoscience hardware all run off one Raspberry Pi which should represent one worker, correct?
I am new to new so apologies in advance

My derp was around 001
Now it's 0001
My placement went from the fifties deferred payment to the six hundreds?
Huh?

If one is in the Postponed group but solves a block, is there any remuneration at all?

Or does it improve ones stats in some way like moving up the payout ladder for the next block?

Will Bitcoin be affected by the 51% attacks going on in the news?

Does this have any impact on mining pools / solo pools?

Congrats on the block find  Grin

BTC.com shows the block to be BIP 109

Is this a new standard and does it affect mining in any way?

Couln't find anything about this
86  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer V9 4TH on: May 22, 2018, 12:56:20 PM
Received my V9 and it looks and smells new

I recommend getting a 14AWG power cord to run at 120V

The standard computer grade 18AWG computer cord gets really warm at 4T/hs

or run the miner at 3T/hs / 450 Mhz, the 18AWG cord doesn't get as warm and only pulling 891W at the wall here

I noticed I have 2 workers showing

But I'm using one device

Bitten by the mining bug  Grin

Adding a new Antminer in addition to the two 2-Pac's & two R808's to this pool for about 5Th's in total

Still a small player.....  :-)

Luck to us all!

Dave

Hi Sidehack,

I may have found the problem

I rebooted the pod and saw the following:

GSE 0: found 7 chip(s)

and

BM1384: 7 150.00MHz

I'm assuming one chip isn't working

Haven't figured out how to paste a screenshot, sorry

I'll power down the pod

Dave

Second R808 run overnight using same power brick & USB cable

Running at 150, this pod runs at 55ghs average versus the first pod that averages around 66ghs

Can I check for anything on the second one?

Cheers

Did you reboot your router?

Have you tried a wired connection?

Cheers

Received 2nd R808 this morning, Thanks Sidehack & Laura!

Setup and running nicely on my second Pi3

I run mine at stock 150 only using the bricks i mentioned previously

I have noticed that running my two 2paks along with the first R808 degraded performance slightly with all devices

Run separate, they run at spec, so I'm assuming USB limitations / conflict?

As a comment only, we used to favor Firewire over USB with our video capturing due to how USB was inferior to the latter on how it managed the data stream, ie no dropping of frames, etc. USB always had a hiccup or two and required re-capturing

I realize Firewire is now considered obsolete, but wanted to pass this along.

Thanks again

Received the R808 on Monday
Very nice design, obvious serious time was put into this project
Been running @150 with no issues on the Pi3
This is the power brick I'm using with it:

I wanted to go with one that was UL/CSA listed if possible
Are you going to move forward with this design with the newer chips coming out?
Cheers Dave
