I decided to launch my wallet when I saw your post and I was about 87 days behind.  I connected to some node out there and overnight now I have a supposedly fully synched Ucoin QT wallet but it is not very happy.  It fluctuates into a Non-Responsive state repeatedly and I can't seem to interact with it. Part of the problem might be this power of the VM it is running on.  I think I will try moving the chain data to a different machine and see if it runs better as a new installation.

Wow Ilog! This is a really interesting, creative and generous way to expose MOIN to a larger audience.  I am very impressed.

I understand and appreciate the idea behind XMG and I don't see how you interpret what you just quoted to mean that a person will be protected from a losing day of mining, which is the comment of mine you were responding to.  What you quoted says that there will attempt to be a more fair distribution of coins regardless or hash-rate.  edit:  which i think is a good idea!

Anyone that has mined XMG, or any other cryptocurrency for that matter, can understand immediately that trying to guarantee such a thing as protection from a day of lost mining is completely impossible and misleading.  Right up there with promising a certain amount of overall return.  Thankfully, I have never seen anyone actually promise a miner such a thing and after following this thread for 3 years this is the first time i have even seen someone imply that they should have such protection.

Anyway I support XMG still and into the future.  But we cannot have miners thinking they are somehow protected form losses while mining XMG, that is totally disingenuous.

I have never before seen the idea that miners, whether ordinary or not, need to have "protection from losing days".  That is absurd to me and I don't think anyone with experience mining coins expects something like that.

I would like to offer up 500 MOIN from the Moin Movement Fund to the person who most creatively and effectively promotes MOIN in the next 10 days or so.  On Sept 14th I will talk to the MOIN team to reach a conclusion on who the winner of the coins will be.  If it goes well maybe it is something we can grow into a more regular event.  We used to have the Moin Contributers league on IRC and this could possibly turn into something similar.

For now though let's start with this 500 MOIN up for grabs.

Keeping things in perspective 1337 has had an amazing year so far looking back through this thread. There actually are only a handful of coins that have made as significant gains in popularity and price from my perspective.  1337's success so far shows that it has appeal and also the ability to rise in price the way it is designed.  I think WOOT could still be a good idea but I dont think there is a big rush.

You should not expect much development to be totally honest, but from my perspective there isn't development necessary.  This coin works really well and chain has been running for almost three years.  What would you propose be changed?   From my perspective what Acoin can teach the world is that this technology is almost unstoppable.  Our bitcoin world is like The Hydra with its many heads and although ACOIN is a very small part of that beast I believe it is a good example of the power and resilience that blockchain technology has over traditional monetary systems for those that can see beyond the normal hype cycles.

No masternodes but it does offer 10% PoS.

Thanks for the check-in KingCaper  .  Things seem to be going well for MOIN as development continues forward.  I notice an increase in attention being paid to MOIN as people look for low profile coins that are likely to still be around in the future. 

Yeah I feel like the dev went from consistently sporadic to totally gone.  Last stuff being talked about was a move to a platform like WAVES but I have seen no movement in that direction yet.  You out there UCoinTeam?

I don't know about whether PASC is working on a crowdfunding but they easily could be as many people misunderstand what the criteria for listing is.

Its actually a common misunderstanding because they offer a "spotlight" for 3BTC but that option is only available to coins that are already listed on the exchange, which is only done at the discretion of the person who's job it is to make such decisions.  Thier criteria for listing has shifted over time.  I would love to see PASL over there though.

Hi liking this project for the most part but I want to let you guys know that Bittrex does not do paid listings, it would be smart to get your facts straight on that prior to collecting money or maybe even commitments from people.  Best of luck to the project!
