It was decided that 8000 would be the limit and then when we hit the limit we decided to stick with it, as a community.  I have no idea who you even are and the point was never to search twitter for $moin retweet everything and get paid for it.  You can go back and look for yourself if you actually care about fairness.  Here is a screenshot for your records.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ――――――――――――――――― ▲ MOIN ―――――――――――――――― on: March 06, 2017, 04:20:32 AM
because 8080 > 8000 which is how much the community decided was the limit both prior to the campaign and once again near the end.  I will be sure to adjust the site right now so it is incredibly clear that the campaign is over.  I really didn't expect anyone to think they were entitled to or worry about collecting coins after the campaign was drawn to a close.

Great ideas on the website and t-shirt.  I am processing through this really intense training for the next couple months so don't have a lot of time but I am happy to help however I can when I can.

I haven't been able to connect again for some reason.  I even tried a fresh install I just can't seem to get it work.  I kind of suspect it is a networking thing on my side but I didn't change anything so I'm not quite sure what to try.  If anyone has a suggestion I'd appreciate it.

Week 6 Twitter bounties have been sent out.  That brings the total given away to 8080 MOIN and draws the campaign to a close.  I really thought it was a good exercise and hoped maybe we could have a little retrospect to talk about what worked and what didn't.  One thing that worked well was having an ending based on either time or the amount of MOIN given away.  One problem with the campaign was unclear rules regarding bonuses, some bonuses just needing to be removed from the description all together.  I think if we ever do it again we can nail down the rules a little tighter to make it less frustrating for people.  I really like how the campaign helped inspire the creation of some new MOIN graphics, that is the type of behavior the bonuses should be rewarding.  Please feel free to give your input so we can do more of what makes it good and less of things that don't.  I will do a nice little conclusion post on the website soon.

So thanks again everyone.  I was really impressed overall by the variety of tweets and it was an honor to facilitate this campaign.

I think I managed to sync the wallet but I haven't found any blocks yet and am having a little trouble being certain everything is working correctly.

In the mining terminal I see a lot of "Recieved  data, block size 174 bytes Min" and some hash rate info but it also seems to say things like "mining suspended", "already mining", or some socket hangup error i see too ocassionally

I guess my question is all of this sound like its running as expected?   Any help would be appreciated.

-jookly

edit:  ok i think I found my first block!  Im happy because that means things seem to be working.  will keep an eye on on it throughout the day

I have basically the same thoughts you do mObLOBScHAr.  I think 8000 was a nice amount for our first campaign and if we take a pause we can always have another campaign sometime in the future.  Probably a more effective one even now that we have experience.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ――――――――――――――――― ▲ MOIN ―――――――――――――――― on: February 19, 2017, 04:13:04 PM
I just checked and it seems like I retweeted other $MOIN tweets that weren't part of the campaign, so I guess that's why. Don't worry about revaluating, since it's just a few MOIN. I was more interested in finding out why.

Thanks for running the campaign, and I appreciate your hard work.

Thanks for your understanding and also for bringing it up for clarification, even just out of curiosity.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ――――――――――――――――― ▲ MOIN ―――――――――――――――― on: February 19, 2017, 03:20:50 PM
Got the payment, thanks. I think you forgot to do the retweet bonus though, as I know for sure I retweeted some other qualifying tweets and didn't get a bonus. You should remove it from the site if your not doing it any more, as I don't think anyone got paid for retweets this week.

Who got the weekly bonus for your favorite tweet?

My MOIN client shows this:

Does that mean the the PoS block I found was orphaned?

Yeah generated but not accepted is an orphan, can be caused by several things and a few now and then is ok.  A couple common causes are poor connection or time not correct on OS.

The retweet bonus has become a little complicated for sure, the intention of it was for people to retweet each others MOIN tweets, you can look at the tweets that were selected and see that no one participating re-tweeted them, there is one exception to this and that person received a full tweet reward instead because the message they put with the retweet was one of the most complete of the week. Anyway, I am not trying to short anyone on what they feel they deserve, just trying to be responsible with our community funded giveaway. DarkStar feel free to PM me your twitter handle and I will try to reevaluate my re-tweet decision.

And yes I removed the bonus for favorite tweet on week 1 because we would already be out of MOIN to giveaway if we had done that.  I am going to leave the retweet bonus listed for now because I do intend to reward those when I see them but I am sorry if I was not clear in my expectations on what would receive the bonus.  I was probably not 100% sure myself as this is the first time I have helped orchestrate a giveaway like this.

I will take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience and apologize for any perceived unfairness thus far, I promise I am doing my best and will learn from the experiences to make future campaigns better for everyone.

Hi everyone.  Thanks for all the great participation on twitter again. I got the week 5 twitter bounties sent out.  Payment info is over @ http://www.moinmovement.org/payout-records.html .  We had initially talked about giving away 8000 MOIN in the campaign or going to March 21st, whichever came first.  The 5 weeks have totaled so far to 6360 MOIN. I think at the current rate we have about 1 or 2 weeks left in the campaign.  We could talk about adding more funds to the campaign, but i don't want to make that decision unilaterally.  Let me know your thoughts.

I made a basic page over on the moin movement website to collect MOIN related images, thanks for the suggestion vella.  That page is now @ http://www.moinmovement.org/art.html .

Thanks for the check in from KingCaper, it is always great to hear and see that things are going well.

Talk to you all again soon
 Cool

so.... MOIN is doing better than ever  Cool

Vella, your image question has inspired me to put together a page for moinmovement.org to catalog the various MOIN images around at this point.  That way people will be able to find them easily.   I will get around to that in the next few days.

Will be sending out this weeks Twitter campaign bounties later in the evening.   We had good and new participation again this week.   Cool

Guys what do you think what would be interesting for next round of raffle?

I have had a few ideas on what to do next for a raffle and I have felt the best prizes are around tech, computers and cryptocurrencies.

So generally and in no particular order and in no way promising anything I think always a little MOIN or BTC could be good prizes but they aren't exactly the funnest from my perspective.  I have thought maybe a terzor or ledger nano would be a good prize.  Another option would be some computer component.  One more idea that just came to me is something gaming related, that new nintendo is around the corner.  I'd love to hear some other ideas.

Hey guys....silly question.  Is POS still functioning?  Minimal amount needed or anything?  Asking as haven't seen my wallet stake in some time.  On the new release, 1.3.0.0.

Thanks!

In my case, the coins should be splitted into 15K under size for staking.

Ya I don't have a big bag, just 13.5k...is why I asked if there was some minimum to stake or something.  Wallet definitely unlocked "for staking" but hasn't actually seen a stake since April of 2016.

"Expected time to earn reward is xx minutes"

What is shown there?

On one server I have got only 14k too and it ist staking once every few hours.

Currently says "not staking because you don't have enough weight", since last upgrade to latest wallet am also seeing "This is a pre-release test build - use at your own risk - do not use for mining or merchant applications", but assumed everyone was seeing same.

Not sure how to do what you suggested in combining, but thinking you mean to send all coins to a new address in the wallet?

Thanks again for the replies and suggestions!

How to recombine the inputs:

In the wallet navigate to Settings->Display and check "Display coin control features (experts only!)", click ok
Now when you go to the Send Coins tab you will see a button labeled "Inputs..." that was not there before
Click "Inputs..." to bring up the Coin Control window.
Now I am not sure how many addresses you might have but you will see a tree structure and basically you can expand an address to see all of the associated inputs.  It can get way too big sometimes on POS coins.
Anyway the next step is to select the inputs you want and then simply send them back to the same address.  They will become a singular input.

Now just a word of warning, you might see thousands of inputs under the address, sometimes when I can tried to select a whole lot of inputs at once it causes the machine to lag for an unnerving amount of time.  It sometimes seems easier to select 10 or 20 at a time and just repeat and repeat until you are finally down to one input.

edit: and yeah actually sending them all to a new address would accomplish the same thing, you could even send them all back to your original address after that if you wanted.  might be easier if you have a lot of inputs under the address

you might want to try recombining the previous stake inputs into a single one.  This will help you compete for blocks I think.  13.5k should be enough to stake for sure

I'm glad to hear people received their bounties and was also happy to see even more new twitter campaign participants this week.

I also wanted to share this awesome image that axl made last week for anyone that might not have seen it on twitter.  I will admit it is now my desktop background.   Cool

Axl also designed the MOIN stickers that are available on www.moinmovement.org.  I would imagine many people don't know you can buy stickers with your MOIN from the Moin Movement so I figured it would be a decent time to mention it.  The sticker sales and hard drive raffle proceeds are how we now are able to have these types of twitter events.  I just wanted to explain that for new folks because I think it is a very practical aspect of the MOIN economy I am interested in continuing to grow.  In light of the MOIN price at the moment I have reduced the price per sticker to 100 MOIN.

Yeah I read the charts wrong lol sorry people as I got excited when I saw that but yeah it was on LTC lol Next time I'll be sure to pay close attention before coming here and making a fool out of myself. Awesome and how has the Twitter campaign been going? many people participating in the campaign?

Yeah we are seeing good participation with a couple new or different participants week to week.  I am just verifying addresses for this weeks payout right now.

That's great to hear that some more people are starting to participate in the Twitter campaign. I know I sent my Twitter message late with my MOIN address so sorry about that. Will you be sending out my bounty soon? I only go on Tiwtter once or twice a day so that is why I saw your message late in the day and by the time I replied you were most likely sleeping.

It's all good you weren't late at all. Smiley I just hadn't made it around to sending out the coins yet.  I did it now though  Cool As usual I put the payout information at the bottom of the http://www.moinmovement.org/payout-records.html page.

Thanks mate!

And thanks for last weeks Twitter bounty. Not sure if I'll be as active this week as I don't want to spam my followers too much with MOIN so I may do a couple of tweets this week. I normally tweet every second day so I try not to spam my Twitter feed.

I totally understand Vella.  You have already made a lot of good MOIN tweets in the last few weeks.

Hello guys,

You say this project is complementary to shadowcash, why and how?

I sometimes feel like it's just a copy of shadowcash.

Do not take it wrong, can you just explain to me the strategy of moincoin compared to shadowcash?

It's a good question rowenta01.  At the moment there is not much to point at technologically that differentiates MOIN from SDC.  I think the reason that SDC was chosen as the base for MOIN is that KingCaper viewed it as a robust platform to grow off of.  It will take time to reveal what the difference will be between MOIN and the rest of the coins in the .  For the time being I think we are happy to have such a solid foundation like SDC to start from.
