81  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Black List of crypto exchanges! (BANS and confiscation) on: April 17, 2022, 08:30:14 PM

Such behavior is UNACCEPTABLE and contradicts the very essence of the cryptosphere.

What do you think the essence of it is? If you want to trade anything to do with foat money you will end up with CEXes following regulations. That's how real world works. If you want to be crypto anarchist, use dexes, don't use fiat money at all. But even if you do that and manage to buy with using only cryptos you can only buy so much before officials want to know where you got the money for it.

If i was a Russian right now, i most certainly avoid every CEX out there for few years now and keep everything in my wallet and not use anything.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin Spikes 10% After News Of Musk's $3B Stake in Twitter on: April 17, 2022, 08:06:59 PM
I wonder how dogecoin reacts after Elon Musk finally acceps that doge is a pow coin and has to denounce it as he denounced bitcoin. Also it doesn't scale as well as he thinks and the rate of issuance is too high to be a store of value.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Ethereum merge on: April 15, 2022, 12:04:37 PM
Can Ethereum lose its stand because of failing PoS merge? Vitalik wants PoS by force and that thing is just too buggy as hell, it seems whales are not in good mood about it as well, I just think that ETH can't make it without the PoW algorithm because this adds value to ETH a lot.

Please tell me more about those bugs and how is pow adding value to it, because it sounds to me that you don't know what you are talking about.

Obviously project of this scale needs a lot of work to be flawless, and they can only release it when it's flawless. You do realize that it's pow right now so why is sodo you think something changed that affect the moods of whales?

ETH PoS will never work, it is just not the way it was programmed initially. What happened is, due to its POW nature craze bursted out for ETH mining. From all around the globe peeps have invested heavily into building their farms. Most of them turned into whales and posses pretty good amount of ETH.

In PoS, miner does not get chance to validate the block on his own. Rather Validators are are selected randomly by the system and these are nothing but coin holders with stakes who have been turned into validators.

What's your point? That we need to think about poor farmers? And how are you deducting from this that it won't work?

If such system comes in effect, then what would POW miners would do? Because these are more or less competition based miners. One with bigger hash goes above all.

POS Will make it worst.

They don't mine ETH after that. What they do is they will mine something else. Obviously they could just fork off their own version that somehow works better when all the developers move to pos version. Good luck with that. Pos and slashing is where the future is.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: invested in these coins on: April 15, 2022, 11:59:45 AM
Guys, let's talk about the coins that we had invested in.
These ones are mine
BNB
SOL
SHIB
XRP

Can you also elaborate on WHY you invested into these? Because all i am seeing is meme and overpriced centralized shitcoins. I would be interested in sol if they could scale up without problems. Not it seems that they are down all the time.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitgert is all set to surpass Solana on: April 15, 2022, 11:54:41 AM
Guys, Bitgert is outperforming and maybe surpassing Solana soon. Is that true? Or just talks as of now.

What an yearth are you rambling about? Bitgert is ranked 3173 in cmc, obviously it's easy to send up or down, it doesn't require much money to do that. But it has nothing to compare with SOL. Bitgert is a bep20 garbage token. It has 70K+ transactions so far. Guess how many SOL has.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Binance sponsorship on Lazio affect BNB price?? on: April 13, 2022, 06:57:32 PM
Well i guess they know what they are doing. I never understood these fan tokens but they are probably releasing NFTs as well. What ever keeps the brand floating and people aware of it.

If you don't increase the price directly, this will at least introduce Binance to Europe which will gradually strengthen the Binance price and increase the transaction value.

Binance is well known in Europe.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will switch to PoS in Q3 2022 on: April 13, 2022, 06:52:47 PM
With a project this large, there will probably be more setbacks. One bug in the system could crash the whole cryptomarket like nothing we ever witnessed in one day. Not to mention that the mountain of that code ethereum is.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I smell inside job on: April 13, 2022, 02:09:35 PM
Price can go down after listing, it isn't a guarantee for instant price growth and robinhood is avoided by a lot of traders right now.

This is not a hack, most crypto hacks are inside jobs thats my own belief...

No one was talking about any hack.

...but in this case whales are capable of good market predictions too, if they smell any inside job they won't take the risk of buying billions of Shiba Inu tokens, your claim is wrong. Next time make sure you have something valid against a project before creating this type of topic.

That's just speculation that they wouldn't risk it. And whales most certainly talk to each other so there's ton of insider trading going on all the time as there has been before.

After regulators got interested in crypto trading it isn't just so obvious anymore. It's more opaque now.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounties dead? on: April 13, 2022, 09:12:57 AM
After running several bounty campaigns I have noticed that they only attrach bot accounts, multiple fake accounts controlled by one person or low quality accounts that can not even give adequate comments - it is not the same as it used to be back in the days in 2018. Where has all the quality crowd gone?

Bots and plagiarism was a problem then as well. In fact at some point they were in this forum farming accounts. I think that you are just paying more attention to it this time. Most twitter accounts used in bounties were desinged for only that, most youtube accounts were crap, and translations were low effort if not even made with google translate. Paraphrased articles/reviews etc. Not to mention the multiple telegram accounts posting nonsense.
90  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - Projected Bottom and Halving on: April 12, 2022, 07:49:25 PM
I don't know. Last cycle behaved diffferently already and this pattern repeating once more would just be too easy. I see more likely that we would move more or less sideways for a while if not even mooning soon. People are too eager to wait for bottom again and bitcoin rarely does what anyone thinks of it. One interesting scenario would be mooning from here because that would crash so many ta:s out there.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metaverse sustain on: April 12, 2022, 01:58:12 PM
What do you think guys? The metaverse will really sustain for long?

You mean the metaverse visioned by facebook? Because metaverse is just a made up word for to describe ecosystems/communities or ar layers that has existed long before that word. It's basically anything in the internet that combines stuff. Game/virtual platform just easier to understand when you need to explain it.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alternative smart contract platform is best? on: April 12, 2022, 01:54:36 PM
(cut)
Which alternative smart contract platform do you think is the best? Is it Polygon, BNB, Cardano, or Solana? Do you think the market is saturated with too many smart contract platforms? Or is there still room for growth? Will Ethereum remain as the "King of "De-Fi"" for long? Your input will greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

Dusk Network. Think of it like zero knowledge proof based ethereum. I admit that it's yet in testnet but already is making splashes with their cutting edge tech and top notch team. But i guess it's more what you need. Most likely most blockchains need to adjust for new FATF regulations anyway. And most of them needs to be build from the scratch. Dusk on the other hand is ready for regulated space.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How are your shitcoins? on: April 12, 2022, 01:43:52 PM
Are they OK? Cool

If Bitcoin surges, shitcoins go up LESS.
(cut)

Depends on the coin but you are misinformed. If the marketcap is low it doesn't take much to move it significally more if bitcoin moves to 2x many altcoins will do 10x. That has happened in the past and now when bitcoin has such a high marketcap, moving it will be harder. And most investors move to lowcaps as they are not satified to make 2-5x with bitcoin. Then again ETH could flip bitcoin's marketcap and after that bitcoin will be a LOT less meaningful to markets.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me to undestad the stable coins. on: April 08, 2022, 05:18:43 PM
I can't understand the logic behind the stable coins and I hope you can help me.

Let's take as an example Tether.

The current Circulating Supply is 82.44B and each one costs 0.00002298BTC or $1.

If bitcoin drops from $45k to $22.5k then the Tether value goes to 0.0000459BTC or $1.

So, how do they technically do it? does the Circulating Supply just divide by 2? and if they have a dynamic Circulating Supply I would like to know how they deal with that topic on the exchanges.

Source: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tether/

I don't get what you are saying. It has nothing to do with circulating supply. In fact the whole concept of marketcap valuation doesn't really apply with stable coins as they are backed by dollar and so worth their marketcap value is more artificial then stocks or cryptocurrencies. You could ask same thing about usd and their circulating supply.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge price this year ? on: April 07, 2022, 07:28:15 PM
Maybe if Elon makes doge a tipping tool for twitter as he owns a lot of their stock now. However people from doge seem to shifted to shiba inu. And after Doge hits $1, transfering it will become radically more expensive and people won't see it as great tool for tipping or micropayments.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins To 10-100x This Year on: April 07, 2022, 07:23:22 PM

We could summarize together the most important information from different channels which would save us a lot of time...

You mean like counting total average from these "experts"? That would be very hard and frankly pointless as their time frames on predictions vary, and quality of these experts vary a very much and since most of them are just shilling their own bags after they get them, they are not reliable at all.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you help out a newbie trader please? on: April 02, 2022, 05:19:34 PM
Even the best traders are avoiding high leverage. They don't just like to talk about their losses. Real whales started with low caps and succesfull people swing trade them. If you don't believe me, you should take a look what marketcap mid o high cap coins were just couple years ago. Choose coins that have potential to rise 1000x, you can find them from low caps but it takes a lot of luck.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the criteria for choosing altcoin on: April 02, 2022, 05:14:51 PM
1. It solves a problem that other altcoins doesn't
2. Team leader is a talented coder, meaning that other coders are blown away by his/her talent
3. Every team member has a clear purpose for being in the team.
4. Transparency of the team progress and by that i mean answering to tough questons and they are admitting mistakes they have made.
5. It's a red flag if team is talking about the market value or speculating about the future price.
6. tokenomics need to make sense and have a solid game theory backing it up.
7. Project isn't jumping in the latest buzzword bandwagon.

Those are few things coming in my mind.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin whales on: April 02, 2022, 08:50:36 AM
A lot of us are confused about the whales behind the altcoin blockchain, for the fact that the ethereum blockchain brought with it the ability for any programmer to make change to the blockchain which has given birth to several developments and new coins, tokens creation so the question is who are the whales behind the altcoin market development.

Maybe i don't understand the question... people who hold most of the tokens are the whales, early investors, people who bought the bottom and held, insiders and developers usually. There are thousands of altcoins so it varies on how their tokenomics/distribution have taken care of

It's pretty obvious that altcoin addresses doesn't have a name so we really don't know who they are. All we know is that they have huge amount of tokens behind those addresses we see in blockchain and it could be in the millions or maybe the biggest whales could have worth billions already. Anyhow, what's your concern though? why do you want to know who are those whales? And for sure most whales wanted to remain anonymous and doesn't want to flaunt their wealth.

As a sidenote, cover of this pseudonymity (not anonymity) could end soon. https://twitter.com/paddi_hansen/status/1509536318585454597
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH going PoS is a huge mistake on: March 31, 2022, 10:23:30 PM
I don't know if I'm the only person feeling this way right now, Ethereum going PoS is a high mistake, its no deny that PoS always leads to centralization and the whole idea and points of crypto is decentralization, or am I wrong? What do you crypto guru think?

How? How would it lead to centralization more then current system? If you are saying that only rich people will be able to stake, that's not true. There will be pools like in POW mining. And currently pow rigs cost a ton of money. Imho POW leads to centralization.
