81  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - a new European exchange on: May 16, 2011, 09:11:02 PM
Are you planning to implement seperate payment options for buying and selling ?
(For example: I don't want to selling bitcoins for PayPal but I wouldn't mind buying coins via PayPal)

This is the main reason why my transactions are getting canceled T.T

Perhaps you could consider selling for Paypal (given my post above, this is pretty safe now)

Either way, we will implement this feature with the next update.

Just to give you guys an update: the verification process has been going quite smoothly.

I would like to encourage our sellers to start accepting Paypal - only buyers with good CoinPal, OTC and ebay history (with the same Paypal email address used to login to bitmarket.eu) are allowed to trade on Bitmarket, so the risk of chargeback has been lowered to minimum. Of course, we can't guarantee anything, but I think you are pretty much safe.

To give you a figure, we have verified ~50 out of ~900 registered members so far, so you can see that we are going pretty seriously about this.

We are hoping to make BitMarket a place where a seller can use Paypal with equal confidence as if they were using wire-transfer as payment method.

I am going to sleep now, so all verification requests received from now on will be handled in ~8 hours.

How can you verify that the eBay profile I would send you is really me?
it's been discussed on this forum already. you might be asked to edit your ebay profile
to include a specific text message as a proof of account ownership.

Exactly. Smiley
85  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Earn 136BTC or 2BTC for getting shops/organisations to accept Bitcoin! on: May 15, 2011, 11:37:16 PM
Hi guys,

I am looking for someone trustworthy to take over maintaining of the spreadsheet for this thing. I have become too busy with BitMarket.eu and other projects that I am very inefficient at this.

Any takers?
86  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - a new European exchange on: May 15, 2011, 11:20:31 PM
Maybe it was better if you could seperately set the payment options for buying and selling.

That's a very fair point, we will do this with the next update.
87  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - a new European exchange on: May 15, 2011, 10:56:34 PM
You are aware that your veryfication rules basically exclude anybody new to bitcoins? (and quite a few who just havent used these services...)

(in an emerging/wannabee market .... doesnt sound very sensible to me. Far to restrictive.)

Not necessarily. There are plenty ways to get registered and usually Paypal is the main issue. If you have a good transaction records with, for instance, ebay - we will be able to verify you.

Also, forum reputation or being recommended by someone with good reputation works. Just email us.
88  Economy / Trading Discussion / BitMarket.eu - looking for new features testers on: May 14, 2011, 08:52:05 PM
Hey everyone,

We have implemented a few new features that we need to test before deploying. Particularly the OTC rating integration with the website. We need someone with OTC rating to help us check whether all these features work properly. Please respond in this thread as soon as you can.

Thanks!

So is it in today's print edition?

I'd really love to see a scan or photo or something. Does anyone have access to US print media and can facilitate this?

Hey, could anyone please scan this article?

93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vote to get bitcoin on Fox's Freedom Watch! on: May 09, 2011, 01:06:33 PM
Hey, it looks like the voting resets after a certain period of time.  I have been able to vote again from both my computer and my iPad.  You all should go back to the site and see if you are back up to 10 votes.  Then throw another 3 at bitcoin.  Smiley

You only need to clear cookies and cache from your browser between votes  Wink You don't even need to change the IP.
How do you think all those votes got there? Magic?  Roll Eyes

Won't be that magical once they go through the logs...

Any idea if that's out yet?

We have added a password reset feature. To reset your password, try to login and you will see "Forgot your password?" link. Just click on it and follow the instructions.

Please note that the password reset link is only valid for 24 hours and you can only request one once per 24 hours to avoid spam.

Hi, I saw the market is in maintenance ... My first question is when it will be online again?

And the second question - is there any movement about my doubts for possible scammer in the market? Notified the staff through the mail ...

Just sent you an email regarding this, can you please respond? Thanks.
98  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - a new European exchange on: May 06, 2011, 02:14:07 PM
Hi Mahkul ,

I'm facing another problem.
Yesterday I transfered 25 BTC from my MTGOX account to my Bitmarket.eu account.
Blockexplorer shows they arrived in my account on Bitmarket.eu. So all seems fine.
For some reason I don't see the 25 BTC in my account though ?
Could you explain that ?

Regards.
Is the transaction confirmed by the network yet ?

Yes, the problem was frozen bitcoind. :/ All the coins are safe, but the database couldn't contact the deamon - hence they did not show up.

Before bringing the site back we are triple checking whether all accounts were properly updated (everything looks in order, the site should be back soon).
99  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BitMarket.eu - should we accept USD? (USD added) on: May 05, 2011, 10:19:52 PM
Well, by the end of May we may be switching to the "mtgox way". For now is just BTC Escrow. :/
Did you find any?

I have a couple of ideas which basically revolve around "we sell you bitcoin central credits for 1 EUR each, you exchange these credits online, and when you're fed up with them we buy them from you at .98 EUR", the main problems with that is :

 - VAT paid on sales (someone pays 100 EUR + 19.6% French VAT to get 100 EUR worth of credit ? --> Not going to happen)
 - If you sell 10 kEUR worth of credits you know you'll get 200 EUR profit (assuming a 2% withdrawal fee), but in the accounting books it appears as a net profit (unless you use creative accounting techniques) until you buy the credits back from the users --> 33% profit tax, not going to happen either

How are you going to manage the legal side of things, is polish law very different ?

I am going to bed now, but will write you tomorrow. Nice to see you back!

Just to say that we have cleaned up our database and some members' email addresses were not responding anymore (fake accounts). In the unlikely event that your genuine account was deleted, please email us.
