I think the main change of this version is we can do staking easier , now we can see " lock / unlock wallet " on the bar instead of open it from setting first.
I'll keep the wallet update to the latest version.
i don`t think this is a big improvement so i would stay with the old version and frankly say i starting to loss confidense at this coin due to dev team staking issue. anyway,free coins is still a free coins but i won`t do much more advertice/support than the requirement it needs |

My thoughts on staking: Of course, if they will stak till the end of the airdrop, that would not be fair. BUT, the dev made a very valid point that some people seem to miss. The first airdrop sometimes calculated false (when users upgraded their level after registration). That means that they airdroped 150k coins, and later on needed to fund at least another 20k coins. Soo, shouldn't it be fair to stake to get this amount back?
And they have to pay the bountys. Some users found ways to do some kind of publicity or artworks etc. for bountys the devs didnīt thought of. So there has to be some kind of stash for unplanned expenses. i found this from announcement post: Out of the 90% premine, 70% will be air-dropped to community, 20% will be used for bounties, rewards and other promotions, and about 10% will be reserved for the dev team. so i guess dev already spending away all of that 20% therefore they have to staking to get more to pay for extra bounty,what do you think then? by the way,can someone here calculate how much coins exactly with that 20% please? |

The stupid thing is I can leave bitcoin in my wallet at home. Cross the border into the United States with zero bitcoin in my phone wallet. Access my home computer remotely once in the US. Send my wallet phone in excess of $10,000 bitcoin.
When I'm crossing the border I can be totally truthful and state I am not carrying more than 10K worth of currency.

A few years ago. A bitcoin pool had a bit more than 51% of the total hashrate. Is that coin in category "shit"? NO! GCN is not in that category too. gcn not even reach a value of 1/1,000,000,00 bitcoin's price yet for more than 3 years now,don`t you feel ashame of keep comparing gcn with bitcoin? and the entire bitcoin community at least aware of 51% issue so that problem was fixed quick enought before something bad occur....and what gcn response to the same issue?------> "RELAX" ?! this is probably the answer of why gcn is really a shit that can`t have improvement from time to time. |

I think the best solutions were two.
1. Suggested by other users: Turn into PoS, but mining will not exist anymore.
2. Suggested by me: Turn into KGW so that diff will drop after a few minutes even of inactivity, so low hashrate miners can move the blockchain in no time.
In both cases blockchain will not get blocked and no need to rent miners.
Another option which I do not know if exists is both PoS and KGW together.
Mining GCN for me with the current difficulty is a real pain. I only have 4mh/s. That means I will get less than 100k per day.
If I mine other coins I can buy 1-2M GCN
i don`t think dev is gonna to change anything , and just my 2gcn here....he will not response to those suggestions or disccussions. It doesn't matter, although I believe he will respond. At least he is active and doing a lot of productive work. Very cool guy. 1.he is not active at all 2.his "productive work" won`t help if he ignore the security issue of the blockchain The issue with the blockchain is not a security issue. It's just related to the high diff. If suddenly all of bitcoin miners stop mining and you try to mine, it would take ages until you mine a block. Does it seem like a security issue to you? seriously?you comparing a coin that not much miners with a coin that tons of miners? gcn is just lucky for not being 51% attack yet....but i think it will be soon Mate, seriously. There are hundreds of coins out there where pools mine with more than 70% or 80% of the total hashrate and 51% attack is not an issue for those coins.
