Thanks for explaining it. I hope that this evolves further as I would be interested in being in the pool Smiley

So if I use 10k of my heat tokens I will get 11 tokens per day? Where will my tokens be stored? Can I use them at any time?

Just an update for heatpool.xyz :

A basic PoS + PoP Rewards Calculator is now active on the page, so you can see how much HEAT will be generated approximately doing PoP and PoS every day!

There are 2 options for doing PoS and PoP for HEAT. Either run it locally on your own hardware with a balance, either leased from your main wallet to keep it secure, and generate the rewards locally, running HEAT 24/7 (I was going to do this option before I thought of a pool idea). The other option is using a service like heatpool so a user does not need to run HEAT 24/7. Heatpool will run HEAT on a server, and users will be able to Lease a balance to the heatpool, so your HEAT is only leased for a set period of time that you would specify. Specifics for leasing options has not been released by the dev team yet. The 11 HEAT per day would add up on the server and rewards proportional to all leasing participants would be sent out back to the origin accounts that the leased balances come from on a regular basis. If you want to stop leasing your 10k balance to heatpool, I'm sure the devs will implement an option to cancel a lease, or it will automatically return at the end of the lease period (I believe).

This is still early, but the concept is there. Once development progresses, heatpool will get worked on so people have an option to do PoS and PoP without running locally.

Glad to hear  Cool Also, with the calculator, the PoP is an estimate, not 100% sure how it works yet, so hard for me to estimate exactly in my calculations.
Also, all the calculations are also taking in consideration that there are going to be ALL 25 million HEAT being online forging, so I think the output from the calculator is a minimum value.

Nice work regarding design!

However it should be noted that HEAT is not primarily a currency. It's the public ledger infrastructure. The token unit functioning on the HEAT public decentralized ledger is also called HEAT.

Thank you for the feedback.
I understand that it is not primarily only a currency. Although I think heatcurrency can also be applicable, since the HEAT token is capable of acting as a currency, and the HEAT token will do alot on the infrastructure.

Here is a new website, I created a bit of an info page for HEAT: heatcurrency.com

But ... the symbol is already there, as designed by the developers.
It's the big orange H:

So please dear developers develop technology, not design without function! I've seen so many cryptos with good design, but no function at all! Graphical perfection can be done later! We do need a P2P exchange!

I think it is important to get a good overall design for the HEAT concept earlier. Don't wait until later to do design.
Make the whole package for brand and identity with a Vision for HEAT.

We know the technology is being developed and will be achievable.

What is the HEAT vision?

Design is more than a logo by the way, it is just a start.
Heat needs more than design. It needs more team members, people who are active on forums/social media/building community projects etc.

We are trying to help. The HEAT team needs more than 2 members. We want to see HEAT and the Heat Ledger company succeed.

Heat investors waiting for their tokens

That's seriously how I feel. Really sucks when the expected date to receive your coins is now almost a month past. Doesn't bode well, but I like the idea of the project so i'll stick around to see this one through.  Smiley

Many good projects have been delayed, I'm not too worried. I would just like to see the ICO verification in the next 7 days to get that confirmed.

any rough, stab in the dark estimates?
No, because estimates are often taken as promises, leading to all kinds of unwanted hassle.

The alpha wallet with testnet came up without much warning Wink

Sounds like the next step will happen like a suprise again. Last time it was sooner than later..

Hello,

I've updated to 1.0.6 wallet with some ip's added from slacks.

But this wallet is really difficult to use, problems are:
- Login: must try for several times after many connection refused.
- Rebroadcast: Command "Pushtransactions" is unknown
- Reply: Not Synced

What should i do? Really appreciate for any helps.

Thanks & Regards.

Not sure how you added IPs, but ip must be a mutual exchange with a peer for connections to be established.
I also had connection refused with logging in, I let it sit for a while and tried again, and I got into my wallet.
I exchanged IPs with a few users and have mutual connections, so I managed to sync over a long while catching up.

Are you at the right milestone? You can check with #botbox on the iotatangle slack.

Why would Poloniex want to add competition such as HEAT and Waves etc. No way would they want to promote them. it will be a slow start for these DEX exchanges but if they make a great product and get some liquidity then the sky is the limit. Good luck

I have spoken to the owners of Poloniex directly. Your statement is absolutely untrue. There are reasons Waves isn't listed right now and they have the Heat white paper with an initial thumbs up. But let's get a freaking product first before worrying about Polo.
how da hell, you can speak DIRECTLY to polo owner?

Steve

IRC probably.
The cryptocommunity isnt quite as unreachable as the usual business world.

I always thought, polo owner are not available ^_^

He's a friend and a really nice guy. And I am not promising HEAT will be listed on Polo. I'm just saying he liked the white paper and there are steps to follow that include HEAT devs but right now HEAT devs are making a product. And that is needed first. I just want to stop any misinformation about exchanges floating around.

Hopefully the devs are working towards a good listing for HEAT to move us forward. It is good that polo liked the white paper, if that is the case.
Although not to get ahead of ourselves, we need ICO verification first, then genesis after.

Launch is a broad term that be understood in many ways. Pick any of your liking:

1. HEAT Forum launch
2. Alpha wallet and testnet demo launch
3. ICO verification launch
4. Genesis block launch
5. Beta Wallet launch
6. Various individual features launch

All coming up in that order. How soon? Can't tell, we're getting there.

We have 1, and 2. Next step is 3, then after a short time, genesis will launch.
I think since the ball has started rolling, everything will come sooner than later.
