81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was predicted by a Nobel Laureate in 1999 !!! on: November 11, 2015, 03:19:03 AM
Name someone else who said this? You can't. This man is a genius.

Yes he is a genius and understands it well. But I won't say that no one else predicted it to . Even Nick Sbazo posted a paper back in the days  about the currency. EHe is also suspected to be Satoshi.
82  Economy / Speculation / Re: MMM ponzi effects? on: November 11, 2015, 03:16:28 AM
looks like MMM is on it's way to collapsing, they added back the mining option where investors can invest Bitcoins and earn in 48 hours and based on their Facebook page conversation it's the answer to the shortage of recent investors in the site, meaning most are are now waiting for their Bitcoins to earn and then withdraw, but withdrawal waiting time is longer than before.
Probably looks like the reason that the holder is selling the coins which is what is likely causing to drop the price. I wish we had wallet analyzers to study the transactions with a little more detail and see if it was all due to MMM.
83  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2015, 03:14:24 AM
Well ... that was fun. Time to go home. Party is over. There is always next November for those who missed out.

The party is really over. Yep. See yall next November.

All joking aside, it's pretty damn sad to see btc reduced to a pump&dump toy thing so the all-ready-rich can get richer.

Sounds like you are new to the boat. This behaviour has been happening repeatedly since last year. We have multiple times jumped from 200 to 300 and vice versa so many times already.
84  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $500 during november? on: November 11, 2015, 12:14:34 AM
I think OP needs to change the thread title again and go back to $400
We are now at $335, a big decrease from last night which is $350 to $360
Rate will further go down when weekend starts

Or maybe he should change it to March which is about when the halving will happen and would make sense for price to go up. Right now it really didn't make any sense for price to boom and go up like that.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for a living or a living for Gambling? on: November 11, 2015, 12:13:37 AM
you will get trouble if you have thinking Gambling for a living or a living for Gambling because you will spend almost your time for gambling and just wait gambling will wreck your life

<Maybe you shoudl watch the video where a guy went all in on a roulette table for black or red, and ended up winning. Pretty awesome since he put his lifetime incomes on the line.

I am sure a lot of people do this who are depressed or frustated with life, to get that happiness.

That is just insane, I don't think he got any happiness after it. He probably got the relief sensation that after doing a very stupid thing he got a second chance and now can get help. If he lost I think he would get the same feeling of relief, but on this case that he got to the bottom and now should et help.
If he did not do that, then I think he just kept on the path of destruction, either after he won or lost.

Maybe, but it was like 400K , and I am sure he would have been happy and relieved after that Tongue
Losing it all would obviously would have sucked. Not a lot of people can pull that off.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Black Friday 2015 on: November 11, 2015, 12:12:31 AM
the only thing i am interested in buying right now is more bitcoins.
Thats the sure shot way of wasting fiat as of now. Already down to 337. Would leikely hit sub 300 again, and just like upwards, once that happens, it could quickly spiral down after that.
87  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: November 11, 2015, 12:11:47 AM
curerently in a 25 chip tourney.  The thing froze.  Reboot no good. Refund 25 chips to nileswimmer please. Everything else is working on this computer.

The whole site is down.  Aggravating when you're in the middle of a hand...
Not the site, the network might be the one that is probably down. The site works for me just fine.

Honest question: what's the difference between "the site" and "the network"?  Because literally everyone got kicked off and when I was able to get back on there were zero active tables.

I meant that network is just the software you were playing on which must have went down. Site is swcpoker.come , which is still online. Either way, yeah a lot of downtimes in the last few days.
88  Economy / Services / Re: Scribd PDF Downloading service on: November 10, 2015, 11:59:41 PM
Finally, a service I might use! Would you consider selling the method?
I doubt he would do that. And it could just be carding, or maybe he created multiple accounts and got free credits after uploading documents to scribd from each one.
89  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 10, 2015, 11:55:25 PM
Crazy drop since morning. Down to 335 hurts so much, specially after the rally up.
Does not look like we can expect a raise up until the halving this time. Hopefully it doesn't go below 300 again.
90  Economy / Services / Re: Scribd PDF Downloading service on: November 10, 2015, 11:54:17 PM
Scribd also now offers a free trial for the first 15 days. So anyeone with a credit/debit card can sign up for a trial and discontinue after a week or so after downloading. Based on that you decrease the prices.

92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC makes it 10 years I think it would officially have "made it".. on: November 10, 2015, 11:50:02 PM
Just my personal opinion on the matter..

I mean people still like to compare BTC to a ponzi -- well some of the bigger ponzis I've seen make it around 5 years before they start to fall or bust completely.

I'd think after year 10 it would be time to throw a huge party.

It will definitely make it to 10 years. Thing is, if it is a ponzi, at the most the price would fall to a dollar or so, but again even then it won't die off. No matter what the price, it will continue to live.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Black Friday 2015 on: November 10, 2015, 11:49:13 PM
Anybody know any deals already?

Most of the miners and VPN sites tell about their sales, and ofcourse all sites accepting bitcoins also automatically have sales. Is there any bitcoin marketplace which had a sale last year ?
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was predicted by a Nobel Laureate in 1999 !!! on: November 10, 2015, 11:47:36 PM
Might have been a motivation for satoshi to create it. Can't call it prediction exactly. And I don't think he even imagined it would turn out to be so good. And from the video it seems he wasn't expecting a blockchain transparent system.
95  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Brazil has more than 150 stores that accept bitcoin on: November 10, 2015, 11:45:55 PM
yeah... even with the promotion of one ATM today in a SP university...

...no one needs to hide the sun... the truth is all over there...

As our friend said, there some places where BTC still 0 x 0. It hasn't change any lifestyle, people (99.99%) don't even know about it. It's very faraway from normal people salaries.

It's a very fucked up situation. For countries with political and economic difficult, BTC remains a legend, not even a dream. Reality is what it is.

Except for places like heavily crowded, introducing bitcoin wouldn't be any good either. I don't think they would adopt it just because they heard about it. It also requires lot of technical competence, which not a lot of peeople have.

Everyone wants SWC available on more platforms, the more people playing the more money everyone makes.  Yes it's annoying/bad that whoever is currently running SWC doesn't provide timely updates, but don't you think a better idea would be to say "hey it's been _____ months since the last update regarding porting SWC to other platforms, could we please have an update with an updates timeline?"  If they won't answer that, they certainly won't answer you tantruming about being raped by software and you come across as a more rational human.

DarkDays: thanks for the suggestion:

SWCPoker: hey it's been _____ months since the last update regarding porting SWC to other platforms, could we please have an update with an updates timeline?

They should probably just releast online version for everyeone so atleast they can play.
97  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $500 during november? on: November 10, 2015, 11:43:17 PM
Not by a long shot now to make it to that half a thousand mark and it's only second week into the month.
If it drops below 320 mark expect people to off load their coins.
A lot of buying and selling will happen and no more holding for majority of coinbaggers.

It was sort of obvious it would fall down. Almost impossible to sustain growth forever , specially in one day leike it went from 350 to 500 in one day and came back the same way.
98  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fall of Bitcoin? on: November 05, 2015, 01:49:49 PM
I think if governments around the world fuck up the internet then bitcoin will be screwed too.
I don't think it is in the interest of anyone or any government to screw up the internet. Most of the things are now internet connected, so rather it will be worse for them , and they have no reason to do so.

Just saw this article posted today. http://themerkle.com/news/bitcoin-poker-site-operator-gets-probation-and-25000-fine/

Is it something new or is the same story about what had happened earlier back 4-5 months ?
100  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-11-04] Bitcoin Poker Site Operator Gets Probation and $25,000 Fine on: November 05, 2015, 05:16:11 AM
I am not familiar with US gambling regulations, but I suppose you can't operate any gambling service online without proper license?
Or you can't operate bitcoin based gambling at all where your base of operations is America? Why did he do that in the first place?
Yes thats correct, he was not operating it, but was a spokesperson forr the site. But obviously if he can;t prove that, then the US government won't really let him be one.
I also believe this is old news.
